Great tour on a lovely, clean, luxury coach. The guide, Jonathan, was very knowledgeable about the local area on the journey upto the Pinnacles. Nice pitstop to see Koalas and kangaroos. The Pinnacles desert and sunset over the ocean were beautiful. We had a lovely meal in Cervantes then back to the Pinnacles for stargazing. Unfortunately, between the restaurant and desert, the sky completely clouded over so we were unable to take advantage of Jonathan's astronomical knowledge. He tried his best, with a laser pointer, to point out the locations of constellations behind the clouds, but it was a shame to end the tour with disappointment. Obviously, this wasn't the tour company's fault.

Itinerary
A brief stop to visit the resident koala colony - and to catch a glimpse of the local wild kangaroos
Stroll through the limestone rock formations that are believed to have been created millions of years ago when seashells were broken down into sand and then eroded by water and wind. Plenty of time to take photos, explore and marvel at this unique moon-like landscape.
Experience a sit down dinner at a traditional Western Australian tavern and soak up the true Aussie atmosphere at the old fishing town of Cervantes.
As darkness falls over the Pinnacle Desert, enjoy the beautiful colours of sunset against the limestone pillars of the Pinnacles. A once in a lifetime experience. With no light pollution in this remote location, you will be able to see the stars in stunning detail.

Was an amazing experience, thoroughly enjoyed it. It was great to see the contrast from day to day night. Loved it.
It was a good tour and very informative. The guide was very helpful and explained all facts in great detail.
Anton our Tour Guide was exceptional. Full of interesting and informative facts and figures. He made the day very enjoyable and I thoroughly recommend both Anton and the tour.
Pinnacle tour and star gazing later in the night are both awesome experience. †he visit to the koala sanctuary was bit of let down. There are b no Kangaroos even though the our promised sighting of wild kangaroos.
Chris and Grant are really nice and professional guide. The pinnacle is amazing but be ware of the weather for the Milky Way. If it is cloudy, you won’t be able to see any stars but the guides are still really patience to tell us all the details of the Milky Way. Pay extra to upgrade to a half lobster which is totally worth it. And the national park koala is really cute.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Our guides were just fantastic and had such great knowledge of the stars and planets. Would highly recommend this to everyone
We had a great driver/guide Pete who was excellent and very informative about our surroundings. We loved the experience of star gazing, amazing!
The trip was very well organized. The driver and the guide were very kind and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the place and Australia! The driver explained more about the history of the country. The guide also became a Star when in the evening the group gazed at the stars. He gave a master class to our delight. And the beautiful landscape of the pinnacles is a must see. It was a great, magical experience. Thank you, Guys! Carmo and Phil Eggers
Excellent afternoon and evening out with Bec and Grant. The commentary from Grant while Bec was driving was excellent and the stop at the National Park and then for an evening meal was just right. The Pinnacles tour at sunset was very picturesque and then after a wait for the sky to get dark came the most interesting part of the tour. Grant gave an excellent lecture on the night sky pointing out planets etc making a great end to the day.
First time visit to WA! I really had no idea of what to expect but thought the Pinnacles looked amazing. Going there WAS incredible. So glad we did! The highlight was looking at the stars through the eyes of a passionate Astronomer. Magical 🌟
Very nice, pleasant experience with a special mention for the driver/guide "jamico" (?) who was very professional, friendly and precise! Well done!!! Bravo!
Amazing experience. It's a long day - the itinerary says 8 hours but it was almost 10 hours for us - but so worth it to see the rock formations at Pinnacles desert. The first stop at a nature reserve was OK as we saw a few sleepy koalas high in the trees as well as a couple of wild kangaroos. Dinner was at a diner in Cervantes and was also OK. But the highlight was the Pinnacles which were amazing to see. Our tour guides were excellent and kept us entertained and informed all day.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to The Pinnacles. This is an amazing place and definitely worth visiting.
Nice excursion though a couple of things cause me to give it 4 rather than 5 stars, some within the tour company’s control, some not. Unfortunately my tour occurred during the peak of the Western Australia fly breeding season and the flies were TRULY unbearable, especially at the Pinnacles. I could barely take in the setting as I felt under attack by the flies. While this isn’t the tour company’s fault of course, some warning would have been very helpful as we could have gotten nets or repellents. Seriously, the fly ambush significantly undermined the entire experience. The other less than ideal thing was that the bus was completely full - every seat occupied and the seats were fairly tight for adults. That was less than comfortable for such a long ride (more than 2 hours to get back to Perth from the Pinnacles). All that said, the tour guides and driver were great. The dinner was nice and the early evening “tea” before star gazing was a very nice touch. The actual star gazing was phenomenal, especially once some clouds passed. Truly a different galaxy from the northern hemisphere. I recommend this tour but pay attention to fly breeding season and go prepared!!
Fabulous tour, great guides, saw Koalas and kangaroos, the Pinnacles were just awe inspiring, vast structures over a huge area. Watched a wonderful sunset then had a great insight into the planets and stars from a very knowledgeable guide Jonathan. What an amazing tour.
Tour guides were great, knowledgeable and friendly. I would have liked to stick to the original plan to view the pinnacles and sunset first, then dinner, then star gazing. Instead we rushed dinner, then raced too view the sunset and then waited for it to get dark for star gazing. We barely made sunset, most people viewed sunset on the boardwalk, not the pinnacles, I ran to the other side of the pinnacles to catch the sunset. For stargazing, the guide was really knowledgeable, but seemed a bit nervous. I was hoping to be at the pinnacles for stargazing to try take a photo like the one in the ad, but we did it at the carpark instead. We stayed for only 10-20 mins after the skies were properly dark. The bus dropped us off at each of our hotel which was nice.
What a fantastic way to spend a day in WA. Great stop en route to see koalas and kangaroos with afternoon tea. The pinnacles themselves are another wonder of the world and crayfish at Cervantes is very special. Grant gave us an amazing tour of the night sky back at The Pinnacles then Steve continued his excellent driving to get us safely back to our Hotel.
Had Casper as our tour guide and it was a wonderful experience for my family! The best part was the star gazing and Casper provided detailed explaination about the stars!
The coach was 30 minutes late collecting us and had the most uncomfortable seats. I text messages to advise eta would have been appreciated.
Australian Pinnacle tour provided nice coach, n friendly staff for the trip. The driver Pat (?) drives very safely, so no worries. The guide Johnathan is very knowledgeable in history, astrology so fully capable to provide very interesting information. He is also putting great effort to answer our questions. It's one of our best tours ever experienced. Thanks to them.
What a lovely day. Our guide was so knowledgeable and helped us learn so much about Perth, Western Australia, and the night sky.
Excellent tour. The staff have good knowledge and service. Recommended for everyone that have one day trip from Perth.
A very good experience - enjoyed nature in many ways. Thanks to the team: Jonathan was a very knowledgeable guide, balancing information and fun facts. Scott was a careful driver.
It was a wonderful experience. I really enjoyed both the Pinnacles and the stargazing. Although some roads were closed due to bushfires, we arrived safely at our destination and back in Perth.
A long day but worth the trip. Unfortunately it rained for most of our tour however we had an entertaining guide so we had a good time anyway.
Pinnacle visit was interesting and starkly beautiful. Tour guides were friendly and informative. Meal at Cervantes Pub was good. Cloudy night so star gazing was minimal. Would have liked to have had more time in the Pinnacles
We booked the tour from bqck home and in the UK. From the off, Pinnacles Tours (PT) showed exceptional customer service. Marisa tried applying the entertainment book discount but it wouldn’t allow it online. After a quick email, PT refunded the discount amount. Regrettably as well, we made a booboo with our booking, and it was booked for the 17th, again after a quick call on the day, PT moved our booking on the day to the 24th! Hassle free, excellent customer service. On to the trip, our tour guide and coach captain, Anton, picked us up from our holiday at 2pm in the afternoon. From there we travelled up to Yanchep to see the Koalas, and then up to Cervantes to the Tavern for our lunch. After lunch, we went to the Pinnacles to take in the amazing sunset and views, and then down to Lancelin beach. We had a coffee and cake, and then back to the Pinnacles to stargaze! All amazing! Some breathe taking views. Anton was a brilliant guide, very knowledgable and friendly. Brilliant, brilliant trip! Thanks PT
Great trip. We absolutely lucked out and Jonathon was our guide. He is an actual astronomer, so we learnt a ridiculous amount about the stars and a whole heap of other stuff on the trip there. Even though the trip was for the pinnacles the stars were the star of the show. If you go definitely go for the sunset and star gazing. The driver was really nice, but even though it's a new bus there were a few hiccups with it. I still gave 5 stars, because Jonathon was brilliant. Some very intelligent people struggle to connect with the average person, but he was great. The pub dinner was also good and we had enough time there have a bit of a walk around too.
A fantastic trip out to the pinnacles along with a bit of sand boarding! Absolutly beautiful scenery and some good commentary from our guide! A beautiful bbq followed by star gazing. A great way to meet people when travelling solo and a wide variety of people to chat to. A wonderful day out.
We were lucky to have Jonathan as our tour guide. He is a professional astronomer (and possibly physicist as well), and while on our way he gave the tour participants a very good overview about stars and astrophysics. He also gave vivid descriptions about the spots that we visited during the daytime. The most enjoyable part was the stargazing at the Pinnacles at night. It was not the best time of the month to gaze at the stars (as the moon was quite bright), but we did see a lot of stars which was almost mission impossible in cities. The experience was more enjoyable still with Jonathan's guide on which stars / constellations were which. Thanks Jonathan for bringing us the wonderful experience! Also thanks to Charlene the driver in taking us to the Pinnacles and safely back to Perth!
Although we didn’t get the weather to see the stars, I really enjoyed this tour and getting to see the pinnacles in person and the kangaroos at Yanchep National Pork. I had to write a review on how great the tour guide Frank was. He was friendly, charismatic and full of interesting anecdotes and facts on the history and geography of Western Australia. His enthusiasm hooked us all in. He went above and beyond to make the tour as informative and worthwhile as possible. Don’t make the mistake we did by not carrying cash, because you are going to want to tip him. If you are reading this thank you again Frank.
From the moment we were picked up at the very convenient pick up point we started to enjoy ourselves. The commentary about the surrounding area and beyond was second to none. We arrived in Yanchep National park in no time and managed to see a very sleepy Koala and several lazy kangaroos! After an Aussie style afternoon tea with yummy cake we travelled on to the Pinnacles passing terrific sandunes on the way. The Pinnacles were out of this world, stretching out into the desert but one of the highlights for us was watching the sunset over the ocean. After that, we enjoyed an trip exclusive meal in Cervantes then back to the Pinnacles to star gaze. Grant, our stargazing guide was excellent, pointing out many stars and constellations and we were very lucky, not only to see a shooting star but a quite rare fireball with a trail. Absolutely fantastic! After a safe trip back, with a detour through the suburbs due to extensive motorway roadworks, we arrived safely back, outside our accommodation. The trip was excellent and many thanks to everyone (Apologies - names are not our strong point)
I will never recommend my friends and other people to join. I departed from Pan Pacific Perth hotel and logically, and as promised, I should have been returned to same hotel on time. However the guide forgot my existence and by passed the hotel, sending all other participants back to their hotels one by one except me. When I realized I was not brought back, it was already 12 .30am midnight. I needed to wake up early next morning and I was very disappointed and angry about such poor serices and big mistakes made. I was even not being apologized for that! What a services to a tourist!!
Great experience! Our guide Jonathan made this even better - our own personal astronomer 💫🪐⭐️🌠 Go on a clear day if possible to get full sunset and star gazing experience.
Please don't waste your money on this trip. I can honestly say the worst organised trip ever, I have never seen so many people upset and angry. It all stems from not having the regular driver, spent double the time at the wildlife centre, the result is less than 30 minutes spent at the Pinnacles, it should have been an hour. Majority of this trip is spent getting there and back, if you have a hire car go yourself, it's dead easy to get there from Perth and you will have a lot more time at the Pinnacles. The Stargazing is done in the Pinnacles car park. This trip is all smoke and mirrors, and leave a big hole in your pocket.
We really enjoyed this trip out to the hinterlands. Even though it was a long weekend locally, we had the best staff escorting us out-and-about; very knowledgeable and friendly, making this a fabulous outing. More surprising was the cross-section of peoples who found this attraction worthwhile, and we were very happy to be a part of it ... Thx Again !
A long tour but well worth it. Everywhere is far in WA and, when you have a personable and informative guide like Zac, the miles go by quickly enough. Super comfy coach and good food at dinner time, two refreshments stops . The mysterious pinnacles were fascinating, sunset beautiful over the Indian ocean and and star gazing was gobsmackingly wondrous. I'll never forget seeing distant galaxies. Worth every cent.
Wonderful experience, the Pinnacles are truly spectacular. We could have spent much longer wandering around admiring them. The timing was great, we got there just before sunset. Special compliments to our driver, Vic, for his expert driving and interesting commentary.
We did what we could on an awfully hot but cloudy day… Obviously no one can control the weather and who could’ve known that it turns out to be one of the hottest days. Chris and Zaki did everything they could to keep us cool, keep us hydrated and make sure we still got as much as we could out of the tour. It was a shame though that after the drive we didn’t get to see the sun set in the Pinnacle desert, and star gazing was a bit of a hit and miss as well because it was a very cloudy day/night. Chris provided great insights as we drove out to our stops and still explained a lot about the stars we could see and those we unfortunately couldn’t. In those temperatures and those weather conditions I just wonder if the tour operator couldn’t make a decision to cancel the tour because while I understand that weather conditions are out of everyone’s control, I didn’t really get what I paid for despite everyone’s best effort.
Tour Driver was great,but Japanese Tour Guide made us so pissed off.
it went really fast, too fast, seeing koalas and kangaroos, eating dinner and seeing Pinnacles Dessert. I could have liked the time to walk the one mile round trip. The stargazing was fantastic. The guide was really good at telling.
It is a nice trip although the driving time was about 5 hours up and down but the time spent at the Pinnacles for the stargazing is worthwhile for the long travel. I’ve never seen stars full of the sky and they are absolutely gorgeous.
Complete waste of money when you could drive yourself for a fraction of cost and not worry about time nor food , we did seperate trip next day and had a better experience plus covered more places including caves, sanddunes etc for a fraction...
It was really nice tour even the weather was bit clouded. Our tour guide Chris is the best guide✨highly recommended✨
The night sky was absolutely incredible! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative, I learnt so much! Both guides were extremely friendly and helpful and made the trip a lot of fun. The were only two minor negatives and that was my being a bit uncomfortable in my seat due to a very full bus putting people in a very close proximity and the 'screaming banshee' at the restaurant , that young woman needs a lesson in customer service. The atmosphere and food were great but she really spoilt it with her screaming out insteuctions like we were a herd of cattle and being so rude to the tourists. But truly apart from that the tour itself was brilliant! Great way to spend new years eve!
Very fun and interesting tour. Zaki our guide was really friendly and gave great commentary on the drive, and was knowledgable about the stars. Keith our driver was great and really accommodating. Well organised and would definitely recommend.
It was a great experience- the pinnacles are out of this world! Thanks to Evan and Rose for making it a memorable trip!
Luke the driver ruined us. By that I mean HE was the highlight of the trip. I wouldn’t want to have a Pinnacles tour without him! The sights were beautiful to see and the night stars were amazing to see. But Luke the driver added another dimension to the trip.
The tour was smooth sailing and interesting. There was so much depth in information that was told during the trip which displayed the country and uniqueness. Had an amazing time with the kangaroos right in front of me at Yanchep. The pinnacles caught my eyes and it was beautiful and managed to capture a fantastic view of the sunset. The weather was chilly and although the stargazing was not as expected due to the cloudy weather but we managed to see a really bright full moon and few stars as clouds cleared slowly. The food was also splendid and delicious. In conclusion, it was a one of a kind experience and recommend trying it out with friends and family.
