Good way to orientate yourself, but an expensive way to do it if you just want to ride the route and not hop on/off. Bus broke down but quickly recovered a replacement.

The whole trip was very informative. It was great that the company supplied ear phones, made it very easy to hear.
The only negative is that the audio guide volume level is way too low, even at maximum volume. If the bus is full it is impossible to hear it, even if nobody is raising their voice.
The commentary was not always in sync with where the bus was and sometimes failed to mention to look to the left or right. The King's Park is absolutely wonderful. It's a shame some historic buildings are overshadowed by skyscrapers. As a Brit London Court was delightful as a street from Tudor times.
This is a great way to look around Perth if you have limited time. The information given via headphones is really good. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Saw what we were happy with, but expensive for what you get
Just to spend a few hours in Perth, this is the right one.the meeting point of the tour where it starts,is very scenic with bell tower and lot of restaurants
We did the tour to get a feel for The city of Perth and surrounding areas. It was a hop on hop off service but we stayed on to do the complete tour. It was definitely a worthwhile tour as we got to see many things we wouldn’t have by just walking around from various buildings, to way out of town locations and the WACCA cricket ground. Would definitely recommend if it’s a first time visit to Perth or if your time is limited.
Nice way to tour the city, good history and information. Disappointed that the bus was reduced to just one in service the day we rode. So if we wanted to get off at a site we would have had to wait 2 hours instead of 1 To get to the next place
Be very careful when hoping off that you know how to reconnect, I couldn't the bus again and all viator ( the number on the brochure) could do was try to sell another ticket.
It was an average tour. The bus driver wasn’t the friendliest. The earphones stopped working a lot. Skipped the blue boat house which was disappointing. Didn’t feel like full piece should have been paid
Best way to see the city and helped me to plan my outings . I was able to see the beautiful city in one go. It was brilliant
Very weather dependant. The rooftop is extremely cold and windy in winter. If I'd known the cat bus was free I would have just taken that instead. The earphones and plug in audiobook style experience is ok but I wouldn't pay this price for it.
Excellent service. Always on time. A lovely city. The Perth mint is definitely somewhere you should visit if your here.
Great way to see the city and surrounds for first time visitors.
Excellent drivers. Cleanly understood the recorded informative information about Perth. Nice easy way to get around and see Kings Park etc. No worries about car parking in unfamiliar places.
It’s was a rainy day when I went on this trip so couldn’t sit in my favourite spot upstairs at the front. For the most part it was an enjoyable and informative experience. However at one stop a large family got on the bus I think to escape the rain as none of them plugged in their ear phones but the daughter had 2 phones one playing music and the other a program with no headphones. After 5 minutes of not being to hear the commentary I aked the mother to ask her daughter to turn them down. Both parents apologised and told her off but nothing changed. I got off at the next stop.
My first time to Perth and what better way to explore the city than a hop on hop off bus. Just the right amount of info to peak your interest and the ability to get off at a stop that took our fancy was awesome. Would highly recommend!
Great way to get a taste of Perth when short of time! It was efficient and punctual and the commentary was on point. Good value for money experience that's highly recommended!
Not a good start. Hard to find. Poor signage.
With a spare day in Perth, we found this to be ideal. Creative, cruisey way to experience the city. Special shout out to Jason the driver.
Good driving, comfortable and safe. Leg room sufficient to be comfortable for tall person. Happy to travel with Viator again.
I have always wanted to write on the hop on hop off bus when I have travelled however never got the opportunity. It was a great adventure, being guided around the CBD of Perth, pointing out a lot of historic or important features that I had missed previously. It gave me ideas to go and visit an later date of different places, but it was a really enjoyable trip.
Great way to see Perth and attractions
Fantastic experience the buses kept to there timetables the booking of the bus tour was so easy to do , and with the maps that the bus driver gave us it with the next time that the buses will depart the stops made it easy to plan. Also the commentary was great
Booked this tour directly through Perth Explorer website and got the best price. The tour itself was very good despite reading some of the negative comments previously. We did the complete route which took approximately 2 hrs as stated. The bus did stop after about an hour for a 5 minute toilet and refreshment break. The upstairs of the bus is partially covered from the sun but recommend sun cream and secured hat for sunny days. The audio is prerecorded but controlled by the driver, headsets were like wired earbuds but over ear available for those with specific hear aids. Driver very helpful with none tour questions of a local nature. Tour did exactly what it said on the guide.
Great way to see the entire city. Getting off and back on was easy. We thought the seats on the bus were very uncomfortable. They were hard molded plastic seats.
Booked online so had the eticket ready to show the driver. Opted to sit upstairs so got a better view. The front few seats were covered so affording shelter from the sun, but not on the second bus we hopped back onto so had to sit down stairs. Commentary was fine.
The city is criss-crossed by at least 4 free bus lines, designated "CAT" (perhaps Central Area Transit?) + a color. We rode the Blue CAT for a while and then boarded the hop-on-hop-off for a two hour tour. We chose not to "hop off" anywhere because doing so would mean a full hour before we could "hop on" again. TIP: ( If you ever visit Perth) The CAT busses run much more frequently; will save about $30 USD pp; and give you time to visit several places along the way without a one hour wait.
Bus left us at one stop. Didnt wait long. Had to run adter it but still left, so had to walk to another stop. Other than that was good
Excellent service, definitely worth the ride. Do a full loop first, then decide where you would like to get off. Expect long waits to get your photos if you get off at Crawley’s Blue BoatHouse .
We were on a Viking cruise that stopped in Freemantle for two days. After visiting Freemantle on the first day we decided to go into Perth on day two. The train station was a short walk from the ship. We took the train into Perth and after a short walk we found the nearest bus stop and jumped on the Hop On-Hop Off Bus. We enjoyed all the sites and narration. We made a stop at the Perth Mint and Kings Park for a short walk. We had lunch and beers at the Belgian Beer Cafe before heading back to the ship.
Great views going around the city. Gives chance to learn the layout and history at the same time. Way too hot to get off and walk in Kings Garden though
That's a good way to see the most interesting spots in Perth. Will definitely recommended. Very smooth drive too!
It is a good tour but if you want good photos you have to get off the bus. Perth is an attractive city and this is a way to get an overview.
The route covers a lot of interesting sights and the automated narrative is informative. A good overview of the area.
The head phones are hardly staying in the ear. Volume is not enough to hear the commentary. Not many places to visit.
What i heard of the recorded commentary wasn't terribly interesting, tho I only heard part of it because the earphones were too big to stay in my ears. And the information about where the buses stop is incorrect. The William Street is at #50 not #56 William, which is just far enough to make a difference. All in all, it could have been better..
The bus was clean and the driver was polite and very helpful. There is aset schedule and the driver adhered to it. The is a canopy for the top open level so we were able to sit up there in the shade. The bus stops were easy to locate and are located to correspond with the major tourist areas. The commentary could be more robust but is adequate. I recommend this activity.
Excellent way to see and explore Perth’s main attractions. Very engaging commentary and highly recommended.
The Explorer HOHO bus is OK for a 2hr loop to get a good overview of Perth however, with an hour wait between pickups at the hop off points would be irritating (say, if you wanted to hop off, take a picture or two and hop back on). 30 min. between pickups up times would be more appropriate and give a better feel of the city. Better access to a route map and specific stops would help….esp. when arriving via the train.
Be sure to take sunscreen and a hat even if it is cool. The bus slowly makes its way around the city and to Optus Stadium so you can see things enroute very well. The stop at Kings Park is a must to view the Swan River and Perth City
The hop on hop off bus is always great to travel on. You get to see a lot more at the area has to offer we enjoyed it very much
If this is your first visit to Perth recommend you do the bus tour first to get a feel at what awaits you. We also did a sea plane flight to complete the picture.
A wonderful snap shot of Perth city in a comfortably driven bus with an informative narrative of the sights. Great value & service with convenient hop on/off points.
The bus does not run on time, I know it would be difficult to keep up with traffic but we waited for over 30mins and 45mins at two stops. This meant we missed the final stop at Crown where our car is parked. We had to spend more money catching public transport back to our car.
I took my 4 grandkids age 6 to 10 and they thoroughly enjoyed the trip and also learnt a few things about Perth along the way. Thanks
Hearing aids were inappropriate and commentary was out of alignment with the position of the bus. A poor performance. It would be a lot better if the drivers were responsible for the commentary .
This is a great overview of the city of Perth. The commentary was interesting and helpful for first time visitors.
Great tour. Highly recommend if you know nothing about Perth. Great service. Saw some great places and great commentary.
