Itinerary
The Ludlow Tuart Forest is a beautiful forest drive approaching Busselton town.
Originally a seaside timber port and now a busy regional hub and popular holiday destination, Busselton has grown considerably into an impressive major country town in the south west. A stop at the Jetty is a must. The Train & Underwater observatory tour is a 2 hour experience. Please consider if a brief 25min photo stop is enough as time on this tour is precious.
There are a number of impressive caves available and Ngilgi Cave is only one of them. Because of the travelling distances in the region, caves south of Margaret river (Lake, Jewel & Mammoth) are generally avoided. Especially if the full Busselton Jetty/Underwater observatory tour is included in the day.Time simply doesnt allow for Jetty & Cave tours together. A very brief photo stop at the Busselton Jetty is an option if Jewel, Lake OR Mammoth cave are of interest.
One of the Margaret river regions many stunning coastline options - Canal Rocks boardwalk takes you over rushing tidal, incredibly deep blue waters. The entire coastline offers breathtaking beaches & dramatic rock faces.
The oldest winery in the region. An excellent cellar and restaurant. Lunch and tastings can take up to 2 hours so please consider if this is a highlight, a brief stop or if you dont drink - not a stop at all!.... There are many other excellent wineries in the region. If wine is your only focus you can expect to visit 4 - 6 wineries on this day tour. Contact me to discuss this option specifically.
Locally known as "Cowie" or "Cowtown" this kooky little town holds an impressive Guiness World Book of Records for the most number of people wearing Cow Onesies....Excellent Chocolate stop at Temper Temper.
Margaret river is a town, a river & a region. This tour focuses on a triangle between Busselton, Cape Naturaliste & Margaret river. With over 140 Cellar doors in the region its the wine that people know Margaret river for but there is so much more than just the township and the viticulture. Amazing diversity in landscape and coastline is also a highlight with dazzling beaches and beautiful forest drives. Little townships with their own unique appeal, chocolatiers, Nougat and wonderful food.

Very flexible trip. Key is to give some thought in advance as to what you want to get out of the day.
Booked and took an outstanding Margaret River wine tour with Peter. He is very friendly, interesting and accommodating. From the moment we booked on his website, his communication was prompt, clear and relevant. Not being familiar with the wineries in the area, he offered suggestions, then tailored those suggestions as he learned more about what we were interested in. He also set expectations on what we could expect to do given the distance from Perth. The day of he was on-time (early) to pick us up. As the day went on he further tailored our experience after seeing what we were enjoying and the pace we were progressing. He was accommodating and while he had a rough timeline/schedule laid out he was willing to deviate as he felt would enhance the experience. I wouldn't hesitate to book with him again for any Perth area tour. Well done!
My husband and I had two excellent tour days with Peter of Perth's Tiny Tours! Each day was customized to our interests, and we covered a lot of ground from Perth, including the two oceans, the Pinnacles desert, sand dunes, and Heirisson Island to see kangaroos! This is the way to do tours: Peter was a friendly and knowledgeable tour guide who delivers on what is planned, includes great stories related to the sights on the way, and we just loved our time seeing the beauty of Western Australia! On top of that, he's a great photographer! :D We are so grateful for his excellent communication (we planned this just from his website and text messages, from the eastern US) and super days. Thank you to Perth's Tiny Tours, we hope to see you again in the future!!
Fabulous tour to Margaret River with Perth Tiny Tours. Peter took us 'off the beaten track' to wonderful places. 10/10 once in a lifetime trip - very special and highly recommended.
We had an amazing time travelling with Peter. He was so flexible and accommodating to our requests, and always went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience. He showed us some really interesting places, and was always happy to stop so that we could have a closer look or feed the animals. Our two boys (aged 5 years and 2 years) had so much fun and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend Peter to anyone looking for a fun and educational travel experience.
Peter, our guide was very nice and friendly. He provided us with a lot of interesting knowledge of the places we went. He took us to a beach, a nice restaurant, the seaside and a lot of other interesting and fun places. The restaurant he took us to for lunch had delicious food. Our family had 2 children - my sister and I love the restaurant as it had a playground and delicious ice cream. My parents also enjoyed the restaurant as there was a place for wine tasting. Before lunch, Peter drove us to a beautiful beach. We had a lot of fun at the beach. It was a lovely thing to do as cool ocean water helped us cool down in the hot February weather!! It was constantly close to 40 degrees celsius almost daily. There chocolate store he took us to was also great as the chocolate there was so yummy. We also saw kangaroos and cows on the way, and we also saw a lot of beautiful sights. Overall it was an amazing day tour. My parents, my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the trip! The places Peter showed us were great and we wouldn’t have been able to explore these places without him taking us there. As a conclusion, I think the tour is a great eye opening experience for both kids and adults. I fully recommend this tour to people who wants to see and explore the Margaret river area. And I know my parents and my sister think the same way!
Peter Cope of Perths Tiny Tours runs a terrific one day private tour of the Margaret River area. It is a long and tiring day but well worth it for anyone who wants to see the area and only has one day to spend. We got to 2 good wineries, 2 gorgeous beaches, a great small town with some neat stores and we got to see some local art and a bunch of kangaroos. Peter is very experienced, a great driver and an energetic, knowledgeable and friendly guide.
Peter is knowledgeable, clever and funny, so fun to travel with. He’s shown us interesting places which we otherwise wouldn’t have been to if we were to self-drive or with a large tour group. I like it that he’s flexible with guiding us based on the existing weather conditions and what each of us likes, stopping or detouring to take a closer look at animals etc. 100% recommend!
Peter, the guide, is fantastic! He is patient and has great local knowledge. We have absolute fun visiting Busselton, lighthouse and Ngigli cave, before our wine tasting. Wine is great, and the lunch platter is yummy! We truly enjoyed this Margaret River private trip. In fact, we have even booked 2 more trips from Peter : Perth / Fremantle and the Pinnacles.
My wife and I recently spent two days touring the Margaret River region with Peter and had an outstanding experience. We went for the wine, and we had outstanding wine tasting experiences, but Peter also showed us many interesting sights along the drive from Perth and around Margs. Peter organized our tour around our interests and showed us many places we would not have found on our own. We overnighted in Dunsborough, had time to walk on the beach and had an outstanding dinner at Blue Manna Bistro. There was a lot to see, and we kept moving, but didn’t feel rushed. The Leeuwin-Naturaliste coastline is beautiful, and Peter knows the best places to stop. Peter is knowledgeable and lots of fun too. I can’t recommend him highly enough.
Having been badly let down when the three day trip to Margaret River paid for in a package was suddenly withdrawn I was delighted to find Peter and his Tiny Tours. He put together a one day itinerary that enabled me to see so much of the area - Cape Leeuwin, Margaret River, Busselton, wineries, chocolate, kangaroos and little out of the way places. Peter was great company and was able to impart much information about the region. We accomplished so much in 12 hours. Thoroughly recommend Peter and his tours to anyone wanted a personalised experience.
Had an amazing and unforgettable day trip from Perth to the Margaret River region. Peter was a great guide, extremely knowledgeable, very comfortable to be with, a safe professional driver & all round great guy. I wouldn’t hesitate to book another trip or recommend to others. We managed to fit a lot into one day which wouldn’t have been possible had we hired a car and drove ourselves. If you’re contemplating booking - just do it. Thanks Peter hopefully we’ll see you again soon 👌
Great tour! What a great experience, highly recommend some of the smaller wineries out there. We had a great time - will definitely comeback 👍🏻
A fanstatic tour with Peter. He went above and beyond to enure the entire group had an amazing experience. This included Busselton Jetty, Lunch at Vasse Felix, stops at two wineries (Juniper, Grace Farm ), Temper Temper chocolate shop (Cowaramup), The Providores, Margaret River Mouth and Canal Rocks). He timed everything to perfection to ensure we got the most from the day. In addition, he made sure each of group member's needs were addressed, for example, he made a diversion so we could see Kangaroos and also ensure that the non-drinker was kept entertained during the wine tasting with a walk to see wild flowers. He also made an improptu pit stop, so that the gin lover could pick-up a gin. This was a five star tour. I would strongly recommend Tiny Tours and we will be sure to book again when we are next back in Perth.
I had a great day with Peter exploring the Margaret River region. I learned a lot about the history of some of the towns along the way. He showed me where the Margaret River starts from and where it eventually dumps into the Indian Ocean. The reason why I choose this tour is that I wanted to see everything I could possibly see in the allotted amount of time. All of the other small group tours that ran from Perth had too much wasted time for me. For example I didn’t want to waste an hour or more eating a meal. We just picked up something and kept going. Peter was a very knowledgable tour guide and I would highly recommend him.
Travelled as a family that included seniors, teenagers, and even a toddler. So it wasn’t easy to plan an itinerary that could cater to everyone’s needs. But Peter managed to pull it off! We had a wonderful 4 days with him touring the Pinnacles, Swan Valley and Margaret river. Very helpful to have a local guide so that we can optimise our time. He kept things flexible and yet we were able to cover an array of places and things to do. He was especially patient with my active son and he deserves 10 stars for that alone! I highly recommend Peter if you are looking for a private tour in Western Australia. Wishing you the very best and thank you once again for making our trip a memorable one.
We recently travelled in Perth with 2 kids (age 10 & 13) and 3 seniors (age 60 - 75), we engaged Peter as our private tour guide. Despite of different age groups, Peter will try to accommodate everyone’s needs and expectation. He always considerate the elderly that can’t do long walking at the same time will make sure my two active kids occupied with activities. Peter will also go for extra mile to make sure we don’t miss any unique place and scenery. He is very patient, responsible and humorous, we don’t feel bored throughout the long journey road trip as there are so many fun topics to chat with! Bonus point is, Peter shared with us a few photography techniques that helped us with better pictures. Thank you so much Peter, you make our trip so memorable. We had a fun filled and stress free private tour in Perth, will recommend ‘Perths Tiny Tours’ to my friends who plan to visit Perth.
Ideal relaxing excursion to see the sights of Margaret River with an excellent knowledgeable guide who gave us a very memorable day. And the wine was good too!!
Truly wonderful trip with Peter from Perth's Tiny Tours. We saw all the main sights (and some hidden ones...) on the tour from Perth to Margaret River. What made it extra special is that Peter customised the day to accommodate our 3-year old - including some of the best playgrounds in WA! Throughout the day, Peter was attentive to our wishes and made sure we hit all the best sites, wineries and saw spectacular wildlife. Peter was extremely knowledgeable, patiently answering our many questions and by the end of the day our son's new best friend! Communication beforehand and on the day was world class - thoroughly recommend.
This cave s amazing. I like caves, having been to visit a few around the world, and this one rates highly. The first chamber is breathtakingly huge, and full of crystal, I didn't know where to look first! As you descend down to the bottom, and through the lower tunnels there is just so much to look at, I could have spent far longer going through than time allowed. Our guide was knowledgeable and coped well with some exuberant younger members of the group whilst ensuring everyone was able to enjoy the experience. I thoroughly recommend this cave tour and think it is great value.
Peter is very knowledgeable n friendly n fun. Our tour was customised to what we want to see and more, n we thoroughly enjoyed our day out with him. Excellent service. Highly recommended!
