Firstly, the folks running the tour were very accommodating as we ended up running late to our scheduled time slot. They we happy to move us to the next tour and it that's where we met Jim. He was our tour guide and was absolutely brilliant. The trip was funny, engaging and he conveyed his knowledge of and love for the area. Every location was a postcard and the locals themselves were lovely. We learned so much about the culture of the area and enjoyed every minute of the tour. The quit shop was great and we even got an impromtu singing performance from a couple of delightful Amish girls. Thank you Jim for a great experience and to Premium Amish County Tours.

Itinerary
If you require the use of our handicap-accessible bus, please message us after booking! Sit back, relax and let us take you through the real Amish country backroads. Your driver-guide will drive 25 miles into countryside not easily found on our own. From the window, you’ll see Amish homes, schools and farms. Depending on the season you might see Amish working in their fields, children riding on scooters and horse & buggies traveling to and from. Your driver-guide will be narrating as you see the Amish going about their everyday life. You’ll learn about agriculture, farming techniques, weddings, family traditions and how they live in our ‘modern world’. It’s not just all on the bus; we make two stops at Amish farms where you’ll get to interact with the Amish folks. You’ll have the opportunity to purchase goods made from the very hands who made them! (not on Sundays)
We encourage you to come to our farm! There is never any waiting when you arrive, as there's so much to do see and do on the self-guided walking tour of the farm. We also have a gift shop filled with handmade Amish items.
The Premium Package ticket also includes our Farmhouse tour. The guided house tour is a separate tour, included in the price. The guided house tour can be completed before or after your bus tour. Our tour guide will welcome you into our 1805 farmhouse, located on our farm property. As you walk through each room, you’ll learn about what it’s like to be Amish. You’ll learn about their religion, history, clothing, and homelife. -You’ll see examples of Amish girl and boy clothing -Common decorations inside of an Amish home -Specialized kitchen appliances The farmhouse is located on our property. It was onced lived in by an Amish family and we have converted it to be a museum. There are no Amish people living in this house today.

The tour bus was fine informative went quick bill was very intensive to your needs He actually went out of his way and he found us an apple cider donut shop to visit she wasn't on the agenda for that day Amish house: Just have one suggestion that they monitor how many people they put on the tour for the Amish house seems like they there is no limit to how many people and when the tour guide is speaking there are so many people in the room it gets very distracted especially going from one room to another room wait for everyone to come into the room to get settled I think there should be occupancy limit
My wife and I began the tour on a 12 seat bus at 2395 Covered Bridge dr., Lancaster PA. You should buy tickets ahead, buses seemed full. We chose the Premium package which included the 1 1/2 bus tour and the Amish House tour and a farm tour behind the house. That location is where you go to get you bus ticket and board. That site is also where you tour the Amish home. If you read my Homewood Suites by Hilton, where we stayed, it's about 15 minutes away. The ticket office also has a great gift shop, we bought several items. John, our driver, was amazing! Very knowledgeable (knows many Amish family's where we went). He's funny/friendly and loves questions from the group, so ask. The bus tour was the best! I'm 65 and learned so much (you never stop learning). The Amish Farms we stopped at knew John well. We walked through a number of farms. Bought several Amish canned goods. Very family friendly and casual, no rush, enjoy the moment.
Even though I live in Southeast Pennsylvania, I learned things about Amish life I didn't know before. The tour guide, Dale, was very friendly and professional, and Mark helped my brother and I get back to the Amtrak station. It was a very pleasurable and enriching experience, and we're so glad we went!
Amazing guides / John and Bill were very enthusiastic and wealth of knowledge. Made our tour memorable.
Very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff……really made us feel welcome, and we learnt so much.
Fantastic guide sorry don’t know his name but gave an excellent history of the Amish their customs how they attend school, married life, and farm work life. We also went to a few farms to purchase goods. Very happy with the tour
Just great fun. Beautiful day in the fall, very informative and interesting . We had 2 stops at shops, and while they will accept a credit or debit card, the Amish shops do prefer cash.
Driver was lots of fun and informative. The house tour and shops had lots of homemade items. Would definitely recommend this tour to others.
It was a nice tour but I think it’s a little pricey for what you get to see.
This is such a great tour if you are interested in the Amish community. Bill our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the Amish community and funny to top it off. My husband and I learned so much and came home to do some of our own research. If you're in Lancaster this is a tour you don't want to miss Highly recommend.
Driver was very knowledgeable His name was John!
Had a great time. Our tour bus guide Ann was very knowledgeable and kept it very interesting. Learned a lot. Definitely a great value for the money. House tour was also nice, very informative. We had skipped out half way through since we did a House tour in the past. Overall would recommend.
I expected to interact with an active Amish person/people to ask specific questions and gain further insight into self sustainable life. The tour we received did NOT offer this opportunity. We simply toured a former Amish House, every room staged for the tour guide to fumble through his explanation. Our guide had a very kind spirit but the experience was underwhelming.
Amanda was attentive and shared a lot of interesting facts about the Amish and Mennonite cultures. She answered everyones questions in a alear easy to understand tone.
Our mini bus carried 14 people. The seats were comfortable, the drive was smooth. Our tour guide driver was very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and informative. We had several stops at Amish stands. One had quilts and crafts and the other one had fresh produce, jellies, and the most delicious homemade soft pretzel you would ever eat. That ended the drive and we toured the farmhouse. Again, the guide was very knowledgeable. We could walk around the farm after the house tour and see a replica of a schoolhouse, blacksmith and other shops. My daughter and I really enjoyed our day together on the Amish Farm and House Tour.
Dale was an amazing tour bus guide. We learned a lot about the Amish culture and stopped at a store and ice cream/pretzel shop along the way. The house tour and farm were also great. Highly recommend!
Worth taking it, guide was very knowledgeable. Bus ride was comfortable and the stops were enjoyable.
Definitely worth doing the Amish tour.... beautiful scenery and interesting history told by our tour guide Lisa
Sit at the back of the bus for a better view. The scheduled stops were nice. We were astounded at the process of harvesting with a huge team of horses
Our driver and house tour guide ws Debbie. She was so great and knowledgeable. very nice and total exceptional experience. She made our trip.
Good experience especially Farm house and get to understand Amish family life.
The tour bus driver was very knowledgeable about the Amish and was able to answer all of our questions. The house tour was entertaining and also knowledgeable about the Amish way. A very enjoyable experience all around!
The bus ride was fantastic. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We loved stopping at different farms and walking around. The house tour was good. I probably wouldn’t have booked it if I knew about the stairs. My elderly father did ok going up and down the stairs but I was very nervous
This is in 3 parts: bus tour, house tour, and farm tour. The bus tour was great. We learned a lot about the Amish people and lifestyle from our tour guide, Cindy. She asked us about ourselves and set up a personal connection instead of just spouting facts at us. We stopped at an Amish quilt store and a bakery and had a brief time to shop. The house tour was interesting too - it was a mockup of what an Amish house would look like. The guide was very knowledgeable. The farm tour is on your own, and it was raining so we didn't spend a lot of time there. But it had lots of displays and information. Well worth the price!
This was one of the best things we did while in Lancaster area. We thoroughly enjoyed all three aspects of this adventure. Our bus tour was through beautiful country that we would not otherwise see on our own in the back roads. The bus driver was personable and informative about Amish everyday life, farming practices, traditions, and culture. We learned so much. We also made two fun stops at Amish businesses with crafts and baked goods as well as massive displays of local pumpkins and decorations. We enjoyed the farm tour more than I thought we would. There is a recorded narrated tour at each stop from your phone, which was absolutely wonderful. Some farming to see, and again a lot of information. The original farmhouse was typical for that era, but the Guide narrated things related to Amish family life, dress, religious practices, weddings, and funerals. Again, fascinating information, and it did not duplicate what we learned on the bus tour. Highly recommend this experience.
Very nice experience. The two young girls singing to us on the bus tour was the highlight for me. A wonderful and informative experience.
Looking at the photo that advertises this tour, I was imagining a big working farm and farmhouse. Not so. The “farm” is next to a Target! The 90 minute van tour was interesting and our guide was very knowledgeable. The farmhouse is quite small and the guide (Martha?) spoke so fast I could barely understand her. Also there was a lot of information repeated from the van tour. It was a bit disappointing overall.
The tour was very comprehensive, from an hour bus trip around Penn Dutch country to a quick tour of the Amish house and then the outside grounds. The guide knew a lot about the culture, beliefs, traditions which we were very interested in hearing about. We were on the last tour (3 p.m.) and some of the exhibits were locked around the farm that was the only drawback. Plus, it was weird to see this house and farm in the parking lot of a Target.
Front desk was very rural. No dress code. Not impressed with the hotel. The bathrooms on the main looked liked like a service station bathroom! Awful! Horrible first impression! Smelled like smoke! The bathroom in our room was beaten up and old! I was afraid to sit on the bedspread. The bed was very comfortable. Definitely Not a 4 star!! Maybe a 2 or 3
The 90 minute bus tour was very informative and included beautiful farms and Amish culture. We enjoyed the farm house tour which showed a lot about the Amish way of living.
Great little excursion. Loved the Amish family at the quilt shop. With the three sisters singing to us on the bus.
the bus tour was basically the same as going on the tour with the horse and buggy tour except without the horses. I took the bus tour because I thought it would be different. I enjoyed the the house tour very much. The farm in the back was ok.
Did the Amish tour. It was amazing. Learned so much about their lifestyle. Our tickets were waiting for us. John, our tour guide, was great. Very knowledgeable. Will definitely return
Fantastic way to spend a few hours in Lancaster! Our tour guide Cindy was fabulous!! She was fun and very knowledgeable about the Amish homes, farms and way of life. The bus tour (there weee less than 10 guests) stopped at 2 Amish shops (bought cute stuff and yummy food) and learned a ton! I highly recommend this tour!
Excellent tour guide and good value
Our tour guide did a great job of explaining what we were passing and answering any questions. Enjoyed our tour through the farm house and outside area.
This trip was fantastic! Cindy was an amazing Tour Guide… Very informative and taught us so much about the Amish way of life. We drove by many Amish owned homes and farms and stopped at two wonderful little shops. The bus that we took was comfy, clean and air-conditioned… Definitely a nice way to tracel and a great way to spend the afternoon
A touristy cash grab that feels like a walking infomercial, stripped of all real authenticity. What a shame.
The guide was very knowledgeable
I think that, like many people, we had very little knowledge of Amish culture, and this trip was spectacular in that regard. We learned a lot about Amish history—where they come from and why they arrived in the United States—and, most importantly, we dispelled many myths we held about how they live. I truly believe it is incredibly valuable for visitors to be able to learn about and gain insight into this culture.
We wanted to show the Amish culture to friends from Idaho. We all loved the tour and learned so much. Out driver, Oauk, was very informative and a blessing.
Several stops for bathroom breaks and fun purchases.... bring water and dress comfortably... be respectful of the land and people
2 week east coast mother-daughter roadtrip with my 20 year old. She said visiting Amish country was her favorite part!
Enjoyed our tour very informative
Good experience, fun, good service
Bus driver was good and knowledgeable. We not only saw the Amish farms, there was stop at the railroad
Don’t do this tour on a Sunday bc all the Amish businesses are closed. The guides were very informative but it was a very big group, like 30 people, and others were rude and were talking while the guide was talking so it was hard to hear at times.
Excellent tour our tour guide was very knowledgeable and took us to many out-of-the-way places to see the Amish lifestyle. I highly recommend this tour along with the Amish house tour, very worthwhile and informative.
Very informative Nice little stops along the way The bus driver was very friendly and knowledgeable As well as he forgiving the house tour. The man doing the woodwork was a pleasure to meet and did his craft well
