Outdoor Escape Room In Pittsburgh - Deutschtown

The team has done a phenomenal job of creating a very high quality product! The app and the materials were high quality and the whole idea was very well developed. We did the challenge on the hardest level and had to ask for a few clues a couple of times. My husband and I were very grateful our daughter was with us because she got us over on several of the steps when we really wanted to figure it out without more clues. This was a fresh way got us to spend time as a family.

Not the best part of town. Nobody bothered us just a lot of activity going on. But it was played with in two separate blocks. A nice little adventure outside. A lot of fun. And so glad for unlimited hints 😅

This was a fun concept. But I wish the scavenger hunt would have been in a nicer area.

Fun day together with my girlfriend took about 2 hours and found a few new restaurants

So fun!! My family of five, with three teens, loved this activity! We’re from Pittsburgh but had so much fun exploring a different part of the city we didn’t know before. Great activity for a family or a group of friends. Good way to pass a couple of hours!

Overall, great experience – completed the tour with coworkers. Great team building!

The location we were given to pick up instructions was a business that was not open. We then received a message directing us to an address in a residential area. There was a key in a mailbox that opened the door of an abandoned appearing row house that had terrible chemical smells and did not seem safe. Very disturbing and disappointing experience. We called the number on our reservation. We were not able to reach anyone. Later in the day , we received a call back. We are hoping the $75 fee will be refunded

My wife and I picked up our game box at Allegheny City Brewing. Great location and great beer. We had a quick beverage while looking through the box and working on the first clue. The remaining clues were all within easy walking distance and gave us the opportunity to learn about an area of Pittsburgh with which we were not familiar. The clues were challenging enough to be fun without being frustrating and each was accompanied by a short story. Mid game we returned to the brewery and had an excellent sandwich from Redeye BBQ and listened to some live music. All in all, a very enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

We had a lot of fun solving the mystery. The puzzles were hard enough you have to think but easy enough you don't get frustrated. You will overthink if you're not careful. Highly recommend.

This was a great experience for our family of 5! Age range is 10 years old to 45. Everyone had a great time and all were able to contribute to answering the clues. We love escape rooms and this was a great outdoor experience. All five of us highly recommend!

The game was AWESOME! I have been raving about it to everyone. I played with my husband, parents, and my brother and his gf (all of us Pittsburgh natives) and we loved seeing the city through new eyes. Our favorite part was finding the specific brick/facades of the buildings. We are thinking about ordering another city and taking a day trip!

A group of 6 of us took a girls trip to Pittsburgh to do the Outdoor Escape Room. We had a blast! Using the real world clues was a great way to explore the area. (We had already booked an AirBnB in Deutschtown, so this was absolutely perfect!) We ran into another group starting their escape as we finished ours! We were so pleased to meet another group doing it. We are already planning where our next trip will be to include another Outdoor Escape Room. Thank you so much for putting these together!

Four friends joined in this Escapely Who Dunnit adventure on the Northside of Pittsburgh known as Deutschtown. The starting point takes place on a fun street and the game leads you to clues at a nearby park, painting on walls, signed, etc. Directions are very good even if you are not familiar with the area. The difficulty level was perfect … but if (or when) you needed a hint they were available! The game is quite clever and really makes you use your brain(s). Kudos to the Escapely crew for such a fun afternoon with a lot of laughs. Highly recommended by our group.

We loved it. Everything was right where our Airbnb was. Recommend for couples. It was not as easy as you would think. We only used 3 hints.

This was a very fun experience and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a team building activity. Escapely did a great job of making the adventure hard but not so diffucult that you couldn't complete it.

It was a great experience, challenging but fair clues. My only complaint is that it was awkward walking around doing a family activity in the middle of an economically depressed area, felt disrespectful to the locals.

Our teenage boys had fun working through the clues that took them around the area near Allegheny Brewery! We hung at the brewery while they explored and solved the puzzles.

We had a blast with the escape room game. We do a bunch of escape rooms, scavenger hunts, and board games, and we found the difficulty level to be just right for a casual afternoon out with friends and their kid, who especially liked being able to participate and feel like he wasn’t in over his head (he’s six-ish). I think our favorite part was being able to use the game as a reason to reconnect with our friends who we hadn’t seen for a while, visit a part of Pittsburgh we don’t spent enough time in, hang out, and get some food and drinks before and after (we loved the local recommendations like Prantl’s and Allegheny City Brewing). Totally great social experience, and we’ll be recommending it to everyone we know who loves games as much as we do. We even talked about grabbing a copy for some nearby local cities as a pretense to go on a road trip.

We loved our experience! We found some clues to be difficult and needed a hint, but most we were able to figure out on our own. We really enjoyed the whole experience, and it had a fun twist at the end! We loved it and highly recommend!

Such a cool little neighborhood although as the day went on, there were some rough characters around. The game was lots of fun and we only needed a few extra clues. There were 5 of us playing. There was one clue that we couldn't get because the name of the business had changed so that needs to be updated. Otherwise we had a great time and enjoyed looking around the neighborhood. Afterwards we cooled off in Allegheny City Brewing and got sandwich wraps from the Smash Shack. We would definitely play a game like this again.

Played the game with my best friend while our wives were out of town for the weekend. It was a great experience would highly recommend!!!

This was so much fun! We had a few hours between landing at the airport and checking in to our hotel so we bought this thinking it would fill the gap. We have done over 100 escape rooms together and thought this was going to be an interesting twist on that. We were surprised with the clues and how everything seemed to work seamlessly. We did use a hint on a couple of the clues and it was easy without giving away the actual answer. I would highly recommend this for anyone, some of the puzzles may be harder for kids to get, but many of them would be great for any age. We will definitely be checking out the next city we travel to for another one of these outdoor escape rooms!

This outdoor escape room was fantastic! Difficulty level was good! We played with our kids and the beginning part was difficult (and could've been more easily done at home), but overall they could contribute and have fun while their parents did the same. We stumbled upon this while looking while looking for things to do and since we are avid Escape Room players and wanted to do something over the holidays with our family, we thought this was a good fit! We enjoyed interacting with the Deutschtown area and it was really fun to look more closely at the signs and utilize our surroundings. We would highly recommend it!
