I had a great time with our tour director, Britney, she was the absolute best! So knowledgeable, very friendly and so happy to be on this tour to see the Longwood Gardens!!! I surprised my mom with this tour and she was ecstatic for her 71st birthday!!! 🩷🎈

Longwood is always a special place! Longwood at Christmas is a scene fille with ooohs and ahs and "wow...look at that!" The staff and volunteers are amazingly nice and delightful!
The tour was great! – Dale was our tour guide, and he is very friendly and manages everything on time. We also took his advice to check out the highlights in the garden.
Excellent tour of Longeood Gardens. Our tour guide was very well organized and informative. Dale Russell knows his topic very well.
I need the refund, the tickets didn’t work and I needed to buy the tickets again. Horrible experience. Very frustrating and embarrassing.
I visited at night ,our tour guide was awesome -Adam the gardens are spectacular-Holiday season-at longwood gardens
Adam was our guide and not only lead us on a wonderful tour of the gardens - helping us maximize our time there - but he was also solicitous, understanding and respectful when my husband experienced an unanticipated medical incident. We were fortunate to be on the tour with another person who even though we’d never met turned out to be a fun and helpful fellow traveler. We highly recommend this tour- it made our first time at this beautiful landmark memorable and fulfilling.
Safe drive with commentary. Got us smoothly in Knowledge and pleasant guide Great visit to the gardens.
We had perfect weather and a great guide. James was so knowledgeable and about Philadelphia history. My sisters and I chose to wander the gardens on our own . Longwood is so worth seeing. The expanse of flowers, trees, fountains and history was mind boggling. I would go back many times if I lived in Philadelphia. We found out too late about being able to get a motorized cart. My sister was in a wheelchair and would have loved using a cart.
Amazing guide … exceptional knowledge. Beautiful drive to the Longwood gardens and she made it so interesting. We learnt a lot. But you need a full day for this tour and we really were disappointed not to have time to see all that was on offer.
Longwood Garden was rated as number one garden in America 3/2025- We met driver at 9:00, got to the garden around 10:15. Left at 12:30. Had 2 hours to spend at garden. As Mother’s Day weekend quite crowded. Conservatory was nice but otherwise underwhelmed
I had a lovely time! this was my second visit and i saw even more beautiful flowers than i had before. id love to go back in the summer to see the fountains and lily pond.
Excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable and accommodating. Beautiful flower displays! Well worth the trip for flower lovers
This was my second time taking this tour. Marty was an excellent guide, a history expert! We learned so much and enjoyed the garden conservatory on a cold, windy day. Two years ago we toured with the same company and our guide then was excellent as well. We were so happy they changed their pickup location to right outside the convention center. I am always looking for opportunities to learn about the area I am visiting and of course, Philadelphia is rich with early American history. Marty was a wealth of knowledge!
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Philadelphia! Our tour guide, Marty, was very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the area, and kept us entertained all the way to Longwood. Once there, he escorted us around the garden grounds and described the history of the DuPont estate. He gave us free time to enjoy the inside attractions, and was very considerate of our schedule. Marty even found time for one more stop we wanted to make. This company was very reliable, safe, and considerate! 5 Stars 😊
When Longwood Gardens’ timed holiday tickets were sold out, WeVenture got us in! We met up with our guide, James, promptly at the entrance (he had already started to communicate with us the day before!) James knew the best paths to see everything, including hidden gems and places not to be missed as well as having a wealth of info to relate. His pace was our pace. After James took us on one complete loop (around 3.5 hours) we stayed 3.5 more having dinner and enjoying the lights, conservatory, music and fountains a bit more.
We took WeVenture tour to Longwood Gardens winter light show to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Everyone in our small group enjoyed the trip. Adam, our guide, contacted us via text in advance to coordinate the pickup in the center of Philly. Adam was extremly punctual, knowledgeable, and tuned to our needs and expectations. Upon arrival, we had about two hours to explore the gardens on our own or with the guide. There’s so much history to learn and landscapes to see at Longeood, that it definitely deserves another trip, perhaps in summertime. Some of our visit’s highlights were the old DuPont mansion housing a wonderful history exhibit, the new $250 million concervancybexpansion, and the bonsai collection. Thank you WeVenture for the experience!
The conservatory was a welcome refuge from the freezing weather. See the organ and the singing quartet there but enjoy the beautiful outdoor displays too Scooters are based on availability, but you can usually get one Tour guide Marty went above and Beyond
The light show and the history of Longwood Garden was perfect. The greenhouse area was also well scened.
This was our first time at Longwood and we were definitely amazed. James was an absolute great tour guide, taking us to all the cool spots of the garden and giving awesome commentary while we explored. Overall, our group made this experience very memorable and put us in the holiday cheer!!
The trip was amazing! The lights were beautiful. James our tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew the best route to take to see everything in a timely fashion.
We do not have a car and wanted to see Longwood gardens. This offering was perfect. It is a frustrating trip to drive this route with the heavy traffic. Then there is the need for advance purchase tickets and parking at the site. This tour handled all of that perfectly. Our driver was exceptional and was a wealth of great information. We had plenty of time with a perfect evening viewing of the amazing light displays. So easy!
Beautiful gardens and loved all the flowers in the conservatory. Really set the Christmas mood and enjoyed the cool air while strolling around in the park. Our guide Adam was very informative and helped point out so many items we maybe would have missed.
My first time to Longwood Gardens and I'm glad to have went during the Christmas season! Everything was decorated beautifully as if it popped out of a storybook. It was impressive to see the many kinds of Christmas trees that were set up (ever see one decorated as a phoenix?). Our guide Adam was very punctual, courteous, and had a great sense of humor. He had the experience running smooth from start to finish, offering us plenty of time to see everything available. With such a unique detailed scenery and expert facilitation in our guide, this is a holiday experience I won't forget.
This was a fantastic experience. Longwood was sold out, but we were able to get tickets. Our driver Adam was so great. There was a lot of traffic, but Adam kept his cool. When we arrived, he dropped us off with the entrance card and parked the car, so we did not have to walk a long distance. Adam gave us plenty of time and space to take our own pace and pointed out some places of interest along the way. The display was breathtaking. We had visited Longwood a long time ago, and the new conservatory is beautiful. Highly recommended.
The company arranged to pick up our group of garden club friends at our AirBnb as we checked out, then created a custom tour for us that concluded with an airport drop off. Full service! Laura was our delightful guide for the day. Laura was easy going and fit seamlessly into our group. We started the day with a ride out to Brandywine Valley. Along the way, Laura shared her knowledge of the history, industry, and political background of the area. We learned about the founding of the Pennsylvania colony and the City of Brotherly Love. She captivated our group with her strong command of all these subjects. We switched gears and enjoyed an incredible shopping and lunch visit to Terrain- recommended by WeVenture. We all loved it! Then we had a fantastic tour of Longwood Gardens. Laura deftly covered the botanical background, the DuPont family history, and the creation of the world famous gardens and conservatory. Breathtaking! On the way back to the city, she took us on a scenic route through the rolling hills. She shared fascinating details about the architecture, interiors, and owners of several significant homes in the area. Laura was the perfect tour guide! She gave us a day that was tailor made to our group. Highly recommend!
Dale was a great tour guide. He drove us to the garden and we had great conversation and info along the way. We chose to tour the gardens of n pur own. The gardens are not to be missed! I highly recommend this tour with Dale.
James was an informative guide from start to finish. He spent just the right amount of time at our various locations in the Gardens.
Laura was very knowledgeable and warm & friendly. Our little group was very cohesive all getting along together. I flew from Chicago to take this tour with my younger sister. And I’m grateful for this experience. The vastness of the gardens requires multiple trips. I will return for the tulips in May 2024.
It is a great place and has some nice plantings. We however have traveled to all 50 states and this is not even half the gorgeous places we have seen. I guess it is the big game in town here but try Butchart Gardens in Canada instead. (Victoria) Look at the pictures online.
James was excellent. He accompanied us the entire tour; he was knowledgeable about the history of Longwood Gardens and all the plants. We had a great time. We recommend him highly.
Wonderful experience the trip is a must see for everyone and especially those avid gardeners like me.Our guide Adam was fantastic so knowledgeable and so friendly he made our trip so memorable
We had an amazing time at LongWood Gardens! Dale Russell made this tour special for us. It was that feeling like good friend of yours giving you a tour.
Laura was an exceptional guide, teaching me about the history of Philadelphia, the BrandyWine area and of course, Longwood gardens. Appreciate that the company gave me the tour despite being the only person who booked. And the gardens were beautiful.
Tour was great. Our guide Martin and driver was very knowledgeable. Thank you. Would recommend to my friends
It was a good trip but it rained on and off all day. Better to have been able to go another day. The Guide was excellent. Friendly and well informed and supportive
We went with friends who introduced us to this expansive botanical garden adorned with a tree house and green house. We had great weather and thoroughly enjoyed our walk.
Best day trip ever! Highly recommend it. Ask to tour with Dale…. Informative, knowledgeable and a great sense of humor. He made the trip worthwhile. Can’t wait to book another excursion.
Beautiful gardens and fountains. Our guide Dale was very knowledgeable regarding the history of the gardens. We had a gorgeous weather day also that day. Highly recommend this trip.
Dale was very knowledgable about the Gardens and answered all our questions. He was very attentive to all our special requests.
Visiting Longwood was a dream come true. When planning the trip pre covid we did not think we could get there because we were not hiring a car. The tour solved all the logistical problems. The bonus was having Dale Russell as our guide - his horticultural expertise in general and knowledge of Longwood in particular was invaluable. His cultural and historical knowledge further enhanced our enjoyment of the tour and his attention to timeliness meant we got to spend enough time at every point and be on time for each event
Our visit to Longwood Gardens was very pleasant. Strolling through the lovely gardens was a perfect last day tour during our visit to Philadelphia. Owen, our tour guide showed us around to make the most of the visit. He was pleasant company and accommodating.
Just amazing experience from the fountains to the tre to the flowers. Can now check this off my buclet list. Don't miss it!
Tom was an amazing tourguide! I ended up being the only one in the tour and they still ran the tour anyway, which was HIGHLY appreciated! Tom was clearly very knowledgeable, not only in history but also in botany as well. He showed me the best bits of Longwood Garden and it was truly a breathtaking place. I would love to come back in autumn just to see the trees turning red. All the exhibitions were amazing and the flowers and plants were well taken care of. I highly recommend this tour!
Longwood gardens was fabulous! Definitely worth seeing and this tour was the way to go! It’s quite a ways from Philadelphia but our guide kept us entertained with stories about the area and did a great job of showing us around the garden so we didn’t get lost and waste time. Absolutely loved it!
Had a glorious tour of Longwood Gardens with James! Totally worth it! The gardens are fantastic but huge and he kept us on track and we got to see everything! He was a great driver and kept us entertained with information about the area on the way to and from Philadelphia. Quite relieved that we did not attempt to rent a car and find our own way there and around the gardens- we would have never managed it so well as he did. Great to have a native show you around. Highly recommend this tour!
Loved all the different tulips and other flowers arranged by color. The walk through the woods was beautiful and peaceful. Our driver and guide Owen was great.
Our tour guide Laura was amazing, both knowledgeable and accomodating. We would highly recommend this tour. Thank you again!
Don’t miss out on this experience! Longwood gardens is a feast for the eyes! Our guide, James, was knowledgeable, interesting and accommodating. He met us on time & shared a great deal on information on the journey to and from Longwood, as well as answering our questions. Taking this tour is easily the best way to get there and back without the hassle of renting a car or figuring out public transport. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat, but perhaps would like to have an extra hour or two at Longwood…. There’s so much to see!
We stayed in Center City, Philadelphia and had to rent a car to get to Longwood Gardens, about an hour away. GPS in the city can be confusing and we made many wrong turns the trip getting there was not helpful. I had visited once before with my mother and sister and knew I had to come again with my spouse. It was very crowded (mid April and beautiful weather) but definitely worth it. I wish we could visit often any time of the year. A special place with huge conservatories full of plants and beautiful walks around gardens and fountains.
