This restaurant was not worth the price that was paid. There were no waiters on the floor at the back end of my experience. They only stopped by for refills that is if they stopped by. The atmosphere was only just music which is typical for this chain.

The food was ok, but not worth the price. The service was great. We love the atmosphere of Hard Rock with all of the memorabilia and music
Colorful, noisy, fun atmosphere like other HRs I've visited. Staff seemed "busy" for a weekday night in a room that wasn't at capacity. Perhaps a server was on break, or short staffed that evening? Anyway, my World Tour burger was nicely done. Artifacts always worth a post meal walkabout.
Acoustic menu is very limited - choice of 4 different burgers, 3 different sandwiches or a couple salads. Desert is a brownie without the ice cream that it comes with on the regular menu. No substitutions. Burgers are large
Stopped by the Hard Rock Cafe Philly just to grab some souvenirs since I’m local. Staff was super friendly, and I was surprised with a generous discount on their awesome Eagles merch. Great experience!
This was such a disappointment. The woman showing us to our table got huffy when we requested one that wasn't behind several walls and completely away from the main theme. She literally threw our menus at us and went off without speaking to us again. Whilst our server was "mostly" attentive, he seemed over-worked and we often had to ask for drinks/water repeatedly. When what appeared to be a manager appeared to talk to the tables, we raised the issue. He made noises but there was zero effort to remedy the situation. Our server then told us that our issue wasn't the first one raised - they don't seem to care. The food was reasonable, but overall, the experience was underwhelming.
We just hung out at the bar before our dinner plans and we enjoyed our time here. Our drinks were well made and the bartender was very nice. Prices were what you would expect at a place like this.
Food and customer service very good. Slight hiccup with Viator voucher but efficiently dealt with by Thomas . A huge chocolate brownie and icecream served to each of us due to the slight inconvenience.
The Hard Rock Cafe used to be a go-to restaurant for our family of five. However, our recent experience has completely shattered our trust in their commitment to customer safety. One of their most commonly ordered sides, the French fries, had its recipe changed to include eggs—a top 9 allergen—and there was absolutely no notification to alert patrons of this major change. After repeatedly questioning our waitress about the safety of the meal we planned to order for our child with an egg allergy, it took three attempts to uncover that the fries now contain eggs. Only when we insisted on speaking directly to the chef did we learn that the recipe had been "recently" altered. The fact that such a critical change was neither reflected on the menu nor communicated to the staff is not just careless—it’s dangerous. As a parent of a child with food allergies, I am appalled by this negligence. The failure to notify customers of such a significant change could result in life-threatening reactions like anaphylaxis. I urged the chef to ensure that any future recipe changes involving allergens be clearly disclosed on the menu, as this oversight could have had catastrophic consequences. For a restaurant of this caliber, I expect far better. Transparency and accountability are non-negotiable when it comes to the safety of your patrons. This incident has left us unable to trust Hard Rock Cafe, and I hope no other family has to face such an unnecessary risk.
This was nicely situated on Market street. You can not miss it with a huge spinning guitar right in front of it. I popped into the shop to buy some merchandise, the staff member was helpful, and offered other sizes if needed. Not a massive range of different (designs on t-shirts/same design just place different) merchandise, from other hard rock cafes in USA.
Good bar and location. Food was slow but well cooked etc. we were reimbursed with some free drinks. Could do with a bigger selection of draft beers.
Typical thematic chain restaurant location on the worldwide Hardrock craze of which I am not, a drinker or fascinated by v the craze so to me it was just another bar serving rock music, food and alcohol.
It was super cool as it was my first Hard Rock Cafe and the stage was awesome and a very historic building as it was a part of the reading terminal market. It was also cool seeing many famous musicians pieces of memorabilia such as Dave Matthew’s guitar and his signature. Would definitely recommend for anyone and everyone.
The staff were friendly and helpful. There did seem to be some problem with the air conditioning when we were in meaning there was a lot of background noise. The food was s okay, the burger seemed slightly over cooked though my ribs were nice. The portion of fries seemed quite small by the usual US standards.
Avoid if at all possible. Staff was disengaged, food was less than mediocre, and atmosphere was unappealing. You’re better off finding a mundane fast food restaurant or a convenience store in my opinion.
Just go to the store, don’t eat here. Returned my meal, how can you get a salad wrong, and kill a salmon fillet. The drinks menu is incorrect, they just bring something similar…
We had a dinner there.very classic very good. Staff were kind and fast . Food was good. Good ambiance and good location. Price was reasonable.Messi ( football player) Advertises the burgers And we asked for everything who advertised. In my opinion it was not something different or new but delicious.
I don't think we've ever had bad food at any hard rock cafe. However, this one was interesting in that it was never clear who our waitress was. We were seated by someone who grabbed our drinks, and then another person came over to grab us drinks, and it appeared to be confusion as to who was doing what, as they kept switching off. But I can't say that the service was bad. The drinks and the food were very good. And we found out from the gift shop person that we could have gotten 10% off our meal due to having a AA membership. Apparently they don't make it known, but if you ask for it, they will give it to you... whether its in the restaurant of the gift shop.
My wife and I stopped in for dinner after arriving very late at our hotel. Service was amazing; Stewart made us feel right at home and we had several nice chats. Food was okay; not great. I had a burger and (very few) fries. My wife had a steak salad, which she said was good. I had a beer and she had a cocktail. Both of us got souvenir glasses. Total was $82 with tax, before tip, so pretty reasonable.
We brought a group of 36 (mostly kids) in at dinner time and we were in and out in less than an hour! Now, that said, we had reservations and a preset menu, but it still went incredibly smoothly. Everyone seem d to enjoy their meals, nothing too fancy, but decent meals all around.
We went in mainly to say we went to the Philly Hard Rock. Thus is a small Hard Rock location. The drinks are good and the food is normal. They don’t have salsa which I thought was funny bc they have nachos, but the nachos were fine. The big surprise given some of the other reviews was the great service. And…it’s close to Reading Market and a Septa stop.
When you come to a restaurant or bar and see fruit flies it is a bad sign. That means the place is dirty and has the potential for cross contamination of food and drinks. It is over whelming and surprising that they have not been shut down.
Absolutely the worst service we have received anywhere in the US ever! Server would disappear for long periods even when there was no-one else in the restaurant. She was friendly enough but that's only half of the service. Being there to take food and drinks orders and, more importantly, when we want to pay the check! This is where the service took a massive turn for the worst. She appeared with the check and was asked if military discount was available (tip: it is - 15% on food and non-alcoholic drinks). She said she didn't know but would go and find out. Fair enough. 15 minutes later she came back to say that she'd added the discount and our credit card was taken away for payment. After 10 minutes (where we could see she was serving drinks to other customers) my wife went and spoke to a manager to complain. Their response was that the server would be "back soon". Eventually the manager appeared with the check and our card giving some rubbish excuse about a till being open for another customer so that they couldn't run our check through it. There was, in my view, at least two other tills available where payment could have been made. To add insult to injury, the military discount hadn't been added. At this point it was 2 hours since we arrived (we had a salad and dessert!) so I didn't to wait for this to be corrected. I took the discount out of the potential tip the server would have earned. This meant that I left no tip but I do not feel in any way guilty about this. I am happy to leave 18-20% tips while here in the US where the service warrants it. The server here did not. I would highly recommend that visitors only visit the shop and avoid the restaurant itself.
Great location, but like others there was a bit of a slow service. But once the food came it was amazing and the music was good. Well worth a visit if you’re a hard rock fan
We were there at an off time and were greeted and seated right away. The server took our order without writing everything down. Came back to check on something then still brought the wrong food. Send it back and confirmed yet again what I ordered. Came out piping hot, and wrong again. I chose to just eat what I was given because I was super hungry. When the bill came they left on all three entrees, including the one that was wrong. Had to wait to get it fixed. There were no other tables that they seemed to be serving at the time we were there, but they were in too much of a rush to get things right the first (or second) time.
We ate here on a recent trip to Philly and it was by far the worst meal of the whole two weeks. The waiter really didn't seem to want to serve us although he was happy to spend a great deal of time hanging round the table of two young (ish) ladies at a nearby table. The first drinks took an age and getting a refill of my soft drink proved almost impossible - it eventually came just before we finished. My husband's meal was ok but my burger had been cooked until virtually cremated and came with cold fries. The only decent part of the meal was our shared dessert but this also took an age. We definitely won't be rushing back to Hard Rock anytime soon
Booked a table for 18:45 this evening and were immediately seated and given menus. A waitress said she'd be with us in a minute. 10 minutes passed and a waiter took our drink orders, of two Coke Zeros. Another waitress said she'd be with us in a minute and apologised for the delay saying she had four tables to wait on. 10 minutes passed and two sparkling waters arrived, which we had not ordered, no Coke Zeros in sight. At this point I realised this was going nowhere so we decided to leave. My son was disappointed but I explained that if a restaurant is struggling to take your order, they usually will struggle even more to get that food to you in a timely fashion.
I frankly dont know what to say. I am befuddled.. i am very upset. We came in here for lunch. We sat down at 12:05 by 12:49 we had no water or drinks which were ordered. Additionally we were prepared to order right away in the interest of saving time. On hour later still no drinks and our children's kids burgers just arrived by 1:15. I cannot believe it!!! Even the music couldn’t serve as a distraction… lol i refuse to let this ruin my day. I will NEVER come i to this establishment nor will i EVER send anyone here!
So our visit started by the host asking people waiting for a table to get up then wanted to have us sit there. Yet there were tons of empty tables. I apologized to the other guests and asked to be seated elsewhere. It took 30 minutes for a waiter to take our order. Food was ok. Compared to many other Hard Rock cafes that we have visited (like New York, Orlando and San Francisco ) this was poor. They did not have much on the walls either.
Stopped in for a drink at the bar, and a hurricane glass. The bartender was great. Friendly service. Great drinks!
Fun fun fun. Haven’t been to a hard rock in years. This place is fun. The food was good. Nothing special but very well executed. Prices were reasonable. But the memorabilia is tops. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Very nice for a quick bite.
We went to Hard Rock for an early dinner, thinking that it wouldn't be as crowded. We had a reservation so we didn't have to wait. It was a bit crowded, but not what i would consider "slammed". Our server greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. My husband requested his drink in a tall glass rather than in a rocks glass. It came in a rocks glass. We ordered appetizers, which were served in a reasonable amount of time. Spicy shrimp and nachos - both were just ok. My husband ordered another drink, reminded our server that it was supposed to be in a tall glass. Again, it came back in a rocks glass. We ordered our entrees, which arrived fairly quickly. My salmon was excellent. My husband's strip steak was cooked a perfect medium rare but it was very tough. He ordered another drink which FINALLY arrived in a pint glass. Our granddaughters burger was just ok, the fries were over salted, and our daughter's chicken sandwich was just ok. Not at all what we had experienced at many other Hard Rock locations. As far as memorabilia goes, there weren't many pieces at all. Maybe they're going for more of a minimalist look? The Rock Shop has a decent selection of shirts and gifts. Bottom line, reasonable wait time on food, friendly personable servers, great music. Over priced drinks - $15.49 for Captain Morgan and Club Soda in a rocks glass...charged as a double shot, which it definitely wasn't. $15.99 for Captain Morgan and Club Soda in a pint glass, charged as a 2.5 shot, which it definitely wasn't. I doubt we'll go back to this location again.
Quite a queue to get it, yet the restaurant was not that busy. Service in the rock shop was non existent. Stood waiting for ages, cashier finally came over after being requested to by a manager. Never said hello, apologised or was welcoming. When giving me my total she never said please. Then said your welcome after giving me my receipt and goods in a sarcastic was because I never said thank you. Well you show me manners seeing as though you left me waiting and I’m the one choosing to spend my money and then maybe you will get some manners in return.
I've eaten in other Hard Rock Cafes before, and figured this would be a good place to stop for dinner as I was staying at a hotel in the city. I had my go-to dish of the macaroni & cheese with chicken, and it was good. The music from the videos being played was very loud, which is to be expected, however my server was soft spoken and hard to hear. I had to ask him to repeat things many times. Overall, it was a good meal and I'm happy with my decision to dine here.
Here I am at another Hard Rock. Had been here years ago but was in town again and needed a late night dinner and this was close to the hotel. The menu was the standard Hard Rock menu with no local dishes on it, so I went with one of my favourites, the Twisted Mac. My server Sheila was very good and friendly. They actually were playing great music that day and I had fun watching other visitors enjoying it. Had a good visit and would come back again.
Stopped by for a quick lunch. New Impossible burger on the menu, switched out the fries for a wonderful Caesar salad, The burger was fantastic, service is always wonderful at Hard Rock. Nice vacation atmosphere
Went here for our anniversary dinner. Everyone was so kind and sweet. Gave us a free dessert and a signed hurricane glass!
This may be the first time that I’ve given a Hard Rock less than a 5-star review and I’ve eaten at nearly 30 different Hard Rocks around the world. The staff (people who took our reservation and servers) were very friendly and personable. Unfortunately, it took forever to receive our food and drinks. We waited a long time just for our drinks and even longer for our appetizers and the main courses. The food was mostly good but the chicken in some of the dishes was too dry as was the salmon in a salad. Our burgers were all excellent, just like at other Hard Rocks. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Nachos, one with chicken and the other with beef. I suspect that this Hard Rock was understaffed. When we arrived we noticed that the restaurant was relatively open and yet there was over an hour wait for table. I highly recommend making a reservation at least an hour or two before you want to eat. The delay in food prep and delivery also probably resulted from short staffing. Hopefully, this Hard Rock will improve wait and serving times, giving diners a five-star experience.
Good food. Great atmosphere. Excelent rock music and cool memorabilia around the tables. A must to go to anyone who likes rock in Pensilvanya.
Overpriced cold sandwiches. Stopped in for dinner after Christmas shopping. Restaurant was not crowded but service was extremely slow. Ordered appetizers and sandwiches. Pork sandwiches were cold. Attempted to get the check for over 20 minutes and missed light show at Macy’s. At least the old guys playing music were good!
Tried calling for reservations, was told they are booked until 9pm. My wife used an app and got us a table. Upon arrival there were a ton of open seats. The nachos were good, but the actual food took forever to come out. When it came out, my wifes burger was only half cooked. By that I mean half of it was cooked and the other half was not cooked, as in still bleeding. The waitress we had was very inattentive. I will never eat at another branded hard rock resturant again.
We were shopping and decided to stop for lunch before heading back to our Airbnb. We had the California chicken salad and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent and the service was even better. Great atmosphere as well. Would definitely visit again!
It was every pleasant visit. We liked the food, the attention, and the music. At the beginning there was an issue as were to sit us. but they agreed to sit us were we preferred...
Food was okay but we waited a long time before our drink order was taken. I agree with another poster that the bruschetta was too thick. All in all the experience was meh.
Food is always good at Hard Rock. I had the burger and was great. Hanna our server did a great job. Great environment too.
My wife and I were in Philadelphia visiting we stopped at the Hard Rock. We were not disappointed. Even though I'll ts very noisy there the food and service was great.
Food and drinks were amazing. I can recommend BBQ Ribs. It was fast and without reservation. On the other side while paying the waitress was very arogant...
I love the hard rock burgers and drinks. I have been there several times since Dec. 2018 last time was Feb 4, 2019 The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. awesome burgers! My sister had a cobb salad that was very good.
We stopped in for a drink while waiting for the Septa rail lines to come up. They never did. The staff here are the NICEST people. Our first waitress (sorry - lovely girl with blackbird tatoo) was so nice and encouraged us to stay when her shift ended. Next waitress, Kaitlyn, was just as fabulous. We were there for SIX hours (OMG). All hotels sold out by 5 pm. Had just a few of drinks and appetizer, husbands drove in to town, but took a long time. They then stayed for dinner. Gentlemen behind counter charged all four of our phones with his own phone charger. Mixed drinks were outstanding (recommend the Coconut Mojito). Also, I have serious food allergies - they separated everything on the nachos for us! Nothing was an inconvenience as they revisited our table over the hours. They gave us hotel recommendations and made us feel very welcome in spite of not getting our table turned over. Best service and loveliest people. Menu is not very wide, but go there and feel the city's LOVE, even if just for a drink. We will be back. Also, enjoyed the throw back music videos. Hard Rock ROCKS. Thank you!

Good choice and price ok. The dessert was fabulous , maybe we were lucky as it was molten lava cake. Service great, attentive server and filled drinks up regularly
