It’s all day. Beautiful countryside… interesting culture. The Amish are very friendly. Unfortunately you don’t see furniture building or other artisan workers.
9am to 5-6pm(traffic). Fantastic experience. Jason was very knowledgeable. We loved that he took us to of the regular path stops. We visited a toy making business and a quilt shop as well as the traditional market with all the shops. I can’t express enough how much we enjoyed Jason as our tour guide. Would highly recommend this day trip!!!
It was my highlight of coming to Philly. Actually it is the only reason I came to Philly is to go to Amish country. This is completely worth it! Jason was amazing super fun, super lively, very engaging person explained so much answered all of our questions catered the experience for us! There are a lot of foodies in the group so he definitely catered to that. Learned so much about the Amish people. And had a wonderful time. I would highly recommend this tour to anybody that wants to visit Lancaster.
Brittni is very knowledgeable about the Amish. She made the ride up to Lancaster enjoyable. Enjoyed seeing the Amish village (nice Amish man in the school room), goat farm, the leather shop (great place to shop and appreciated Levi fitting our bought belts) and the Rhiels place (very nice Amish ladies). Got to see a different aspect of the Amish society which was more modern from my previous mindset.
This "poor" review reflects my overall experience of the trip but doesn't reflect upon my admiration for Jason (Guide) who is a really kind, likeable guy - passionate and knowledgeable about the history of the Amish. He's a great host who is keen to deliver a good customer experience. I rate him 5/5 and wish him well in his endeavours. Maybe my expectations were too high ahead of the trip but I thought we would be visiting an Amish Village (not, as it turned out, a model village) and have the opportunity to observe the Amish way of life / work / business etc. The reality was the model village was hugely disappointing - a perfunctory insight to how they used to live and no Amish people in sight, other than those who worked in the shop where you can buy their goods - a regular theme on this trip. We visited a fantastic furniture store - again, the only opportunity of meeting an Amish person being someone who was willing to sell their goods (which were excellent by the way). We visited a cafe and mini--market store where you could buy Amish products; We further visited a goats cheese farm, a toy shop and a store selling Amish hand crafted, quilts, leather goods, bags etc - you get the picture. Outside of a polite "hello" we didn't get to speak with any of the Amish people or observe / gain more insight to their day-to-day lifestyle, unless they all work in shops selling their wares. The best part of the trip was Jason himself who provided great historical insight and was happy to field any questions. He explained at outset of our journey, that part of the initial deal / agreement that brought the Amish to Lancaster County in the first place, was their assertion that they did not wish to engage with the English lifestyle or people, save for when necessary for business purposes. Sadly, that was the experience we went through on the trip. Had I have done my homework properly, I would have been unlikely to have made this trip - perhaps a shorter trip where expectations were less than those I had envisaged when I made the booking. The cynic could argue that the Amish are happy for you to visit to buy their goods, but don't offer any engagement or insight to their way of life - which is the whole reason I wanted to go on the trip in the first place. On the upside, Jason is brilliant, Lancaster County is very scenic, the chilli soup at the cafe was delicious, the goods in all shops were fine quality and reasonably priced - but I didn't book my trip to go shopping.
This a great starter trip. The guide, Jason, is very knowledgeable in Amish history and practices. He knew all the store keepers by name and had good insight into their products.
The tour was exceptional from start to finish. It was so educational and fun learning about the Amish way of life, their culture, interacting with their animals, trying some delicious, and most of all seeing some jaw-droppingly beautiful quilts since that's where my passion lies. Brittni is one of the best guides I've experienced, and I appreciate her extensive knowledge and close relationships with the Amish folk. Her positivity is infectious, and she has a real passion for sharing her knowledge with her tour guests.
Our tour guide Brittni was exceptional! Knowledgeable, fun, respectful - I thoroughly enjoyed our time with her.

Jason was an excellent tour guide for our day with the Amish people. During the journey, he discussed our particular interest so he could tailor the visit. He was extremely knowledgeable and managed to keep us attentive.
A very informative fascinating tour of Lancaster county with our tour guide Jason. He was very knowledgeable and friendly, the day was the highlight of our visit to Philadelphia. Jason had a great rapport with the people we interacted with and took us to places other tours didn’t go to

This was a great experience, we met our great guide Dale on time. He had planned a wonderful day where we got to see how the Amish lived and worked. Additionally, we got to meet some and learn about their way of living. Our guide, has invested time and effort building relationships with the community and that gives a great experience for the guests in a respectul way for the Amish community. Additionally, Dale provided us with great background on the Amish. Fantastic experience.
This was a great tour and our guide Dale was personable, informative, and a great guide all around!!

Everything about the day was exceptional. I had a blast learning about the Amish culture, seeing the animals, landscapes, and trying the delicious food. Jason was one of the best guides I’ve experienced and I appreciate his patience, knowledge and genuine passion for sharing Philly!
James drove our small group giving us very comprehensive information about the Amish way of life and their history throughout the drive. He knew the answers to our many and varied questions, even some quite off topic. The Lancaster countryside was very picturesque and James took us to a variety of Amish properties. It was an interesting and very pleasant day. Thanks James.
It was a beautiful day in the country and Brittany was the best driver of our whole trip. There is a lot to see and do in Lancaster County, but also time to relax after being in the city.

An enjoyable day. Saw so much and the guide was very informative. Stopped at and Tje food was so fresh and delicious.
Our guide Jason was awesome small group of 5 made it more private, we were lucky that there was a mudsale on, and for me that was the highlight, fantastic guided trip which I would recommend day started at 9 and we were back in Downtown Philli at 5.30pm.
We loved this tour. Britney was a fabulous guide. She was so knowledgeable and fun. We loved that it was a small group. The size of the group allowed us to fit in more things than you could in a large group. Visiting the Amish farm was great but actually shopping in the shops where actual families live was a wonderful w as y to learn about their lives.
A really good day, we got out of the city and saw some of the life of the Amish community. Our guide Jason was really knowledgeable and passionate, he gave us a really good history of the area and the Amish people.
Dale was extremely pleasant, informative and helpful. His van was clean, modern, comfortable and pleasant to ride in. Dale provided so much information about what we were seeing. There was only five of us on this tour and it was a pleasant group mixed with Americans and Australians. Dale took us to a great spot for lunch called Dienner’s where we could choose the buffet or order off the menu. The visit to the Amish village was very interesting and Dale’s established relationship with the residents helped us understand and enjoy the community.
Dale was fantastic tour guide. So much history to share. Answered all our questions. Stopped by several Amish shops and a nice lunch at a Mennonite restaurant. Full day tour was very enjoyable.
Excellent tour. Lots of good info from our guide Jason. Very interesting tour of the Amish Village. And stops at businesses selling Amish-made crafts and foods, and a goat farm. Recommended.
Very professional and courteous driver who was very knowledgeable. The tour was very relaxing and fun.
So educational. Marty was a wonderful guide, super knowledgable and gave us so much insight on the Amish and their daily life. Would absolutely recommend this tour.
