Gettysburg: Devil’s Den Self-guided Walking Tour

You've seen the photos and definitely take the time to explore Devil's Den. You can truly feel the scars of the battle. The area was larger than I imagined.

Plan according to the weather. It was definitely hot walking through the area. You can see some from driving, but you miss a lot that way

We loved the experience but the audio was challenging. If you want to learn more about the Civil War battles this is for you. Seeing and experiencing this makes everything we learned in school come alive.

My husband and I got this tour because we wanted to explore Devil’s Den. We found it very informative! It took us to some of the nearby monuments around the Den. Even took us off the beaten path for a different view of Little Round Top. It took about 30 minutes, which was perfect for us.

A visit to Gettysburg is a must for any history enthusiast; it really helps you understand this important site even better.

Honestly, this self-guided tour was okay, but let's be honest, you're paying for an app that mainly just offers GPS-triggered audio, which was kinda cool for avoiding getting lost in the boulders. Still, the whole thing felt a bit gimmicky, like just another quick way to cash in on the history. If you're a history buff, you might find the info a little light, but if you want a quick, simple walk-through of Devil's Den, it does the job without needing a human guide. It’s definitely a bit pricey for what you get, but I guess the convenience comes at a cost!

This walking tour was great EXCEPT for the stops of 4 thru 6. These sections were a bit confusing as to which way and where to walk to. Had to replay about 3-4 times but we finally got. Other than this, we enjoyed it thoroughly. Very informitive. We really enjoyed this tour......especially being self paced.

Getting a great overview of the site, and what soldiers from both armies went through. I thought the re wording was very good. I think the instructions for installing were a bit confusing though it all worked out.

It was a great mix of tech and history. The GPS-based guide was super smooth and took me right to all the key spots without any hassle. The audio part was crystal clear and really interesting – it felt like history was happening all around me. I totally loved the tour. It was a fresh and cool way to dive into Gettysburg’s history.

As someone who also took part in the Gettysburg self-guided auto tour, combining both experiences was an incredible way to immerse myself in the stories and sacrifices of the past. A truly unforgettable experience!

Nothing worked...the Action yours Devils Den Action Tour rep could not fix our problems. I am trying to procure a refund since the tour was unusable. After a wasted one hour we abandoned the tour and went off on our own...never again!!!

Couldn't figure out how to work it. The stop numbers were different than the numbers when you were driving around

Highly recommend!!!!! Very easy to use. Gained so information for our Gettysburg trip. Just one tip make sure you take your power bank on this walking tour.

Great way to experience Devils Den. Being able to see and here about what happened at our own pace was perfect. Would highly recommend.

This was the best birthday present ever. My six year old daughter absolutely loved using the map on my phone and being the navigator. We’ll be back!
