Barbara was a fantastic tour guide! Full of fun facts about Pittsburgh! She was friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and remembered all of our favorite foods! The tour was just the right size with 10. We were surprised how full we were by the end of our tour. Everything was delicious! We went back to a couple stops to purchase some take home treats! We highly recommend this tour and Barbara!

Come hungry! This is an amazing tour with a huge number of samples (4 slices of pepperoni roll) and interesting history. Our guide, Richard, knew all of the owners and most of the staff. Richard was fun and full of facts and info. Even if you are a Yinzern take this tour.
Lots of food. Tour was interesting. Should have a coffee stop. Food was great. Tour guy Richard was terrific.
Barbara was a great tour guide! She was funny, super knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. The food was delicious and filling! It was cool to learn about the history, too - loved the two churches, the inclines, and the history of the Strip District.
Barb was maxing! Food was excellent!
We did the Strip District International Food Tour. Marla was absolutely a great guide and gave us a very historical representation of the Strip. The samples were good and my appetite was satiated after the tour. The walk wasn’t strenuous and we did get to sit down on one tasting. If you have any allergies be sure to let them know as well as doing any stairs as one stop had about 20 stairs to the top floor. So worth the price and so much fun!
Fun, informative and delicious! Well worth the price. We were stuffed when the tour was over. We had plenty of time at each vendor and they were all very pleasant. Our tour guide, Richard, was so knowledgeable, not only about Pittsburgh history, but about each of the vendors as well. I highly recommend.
Thank you for accommodating my wife's allergy. Everyone was so helpful and nice. Would highly recommend.
Marla was an amazing tour guide. Amazing food, drinks and sightseeing! Learned so much from this tour and I have lived in Pittsburgh for over 20 years! Highly recommend for anyone traveling to Pittsburgh or locals!
Marla was an amazing tour guide! She knew so much history about Pittsburgh and the places we visited! We went with a bunch of friends and we are from Pittsburgh and still learned so much! Definitely a great time for anyone wanting good food, drinks and to enjoy our beautiful city! Highly recommend!
Another excellent tour with "Burg Bits and Bites Food Tours"! Barb was our tour guide, She did a great job sharing her knowledge and insight. The owners and employees at the various stops are informative and so nice! I have done this tour many times through the years and I always learn something new. Taking friends and family on this tour is a great way for them to learn more about the city I love and why. I enjoy taking food tours wherever we travel. However, taking the tours offered by BB & B throughout the Pittsburgh area is a great way to get to learn more about Pittsburgh. Highly recommend not only for visitors but for residents as well! Best tour company in Pittsburgh area in my opinion!
Great tour. Great food. What more can you ask for.
I loved this experience and I loved trying all different types of foods I never had before. I give this tour a 10/10
it was a fun a cool time with our tour guide Rich
I went with my school and we have a fantastic time with our tour guide Richard. He’s great with kids/teens and keeps them engaged.
I live in Pittsburgh and go to the Strip District often, but I still learned a lot on this tour. Mary was an excellent guide, gave us a lot of interesting history about the neighborhood and kept everyone involved. Mary clearly had a relationship with all the shop owners, and that helped give an insider feel to the tour. There was a nice variety of food sampled and large portions--come hungry and don't make lunch plans.
Wow! Richard was great! one can tell he loves Pittsburg and the food!
We had a wonderful time. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She taught us some historical information about the strip district and had ample knowledge about the food. My husband is vegetarian and they made sure to still include him in every stop!
We had a fantastic time learning about the Strip District in Pittsburgh and tasting a wide variety of foods from all over the world. Our tour guide, Mary, knew so many interesting facts about the area and its history. We look forward to taking more tours with Burgh Bits and Bites!
Great guide! She has a lot of personal knowledge of the area and its history. Also a great way to sample the many varieties of cuisine available in the Strip District of Pittsburgh.
My friends and I went on the Strip District tour today. What a wonderful tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area, and we stopped at some amazing places. It was so nice to meet all of the people working at these stores, and the food tastings were great. I highly recommend the Strip District Food Tour. I learned a lot, and I even live here in Pittsburgh!
So much fun!! Great food and also a Nic learning experience. A nice combination of different types of foods while also learning about the city!
I held an event in Pittsburgh and sent our Spouse/Guests to this tour. They all came back happy and full! They said it was a great experience and perfect choice for this group tour. Thank you, Sylvia, from 'Burgh Bits and Bites for working with me! I hope to hop on this tour the next time I am in Pittsburgh!
Our guide Karen was fabulous. She was very knowledgeable about the strip district and the tasting. I was not sure what to expect from the food, but they were all amazing from the sausage and pepperoni rolls to the mini donuts. It was obvious that Karen is a part of the community and loves to share about the Strip District.
Our guide, Mary, was amazing. Great personality. She shared lots of interesting tidbits as we made our way through the Strip District. There were more stops than I anticipated, so very filling. Probably the best part was meeting the restaurant/store owners and learning more about their families and history of their places. Such rich cultures represented. Would definitely recommend!
On my final day in Pittsburgh, I joined the Burgh Bits and Bites tour in the Strip District. It's a great decision because I'll get to taste the Strip's iconic food while also learning about the fascinating history of famous attractions. Karen, our tour guide, was fantastic and filled the tour with interesting information about the history of the area and each food store we visited. We covered approximately 8 outlets in 2 hours, which I believe is well worth it. I would highly recommend Burgh Bits and Bites Food Tour for a complete gastronomic experience in Pittsburgh.
Marla was an amazing tour guide! The food was delicious, and it was so much fun — we visited so many places I had never been to before, even after living in Pittsburgh for a while. I’ll definitely go back to several of them for my own little shopping tour — I liked them that much! Totally recommend this tour, especially with Marla!
Had a great time with Richard. Very informative and interesting. Enjoyed all the selections and thought it was good value for the money. Would recommend!
This is such a fun way to experience Pittsburgh with friends or coworkers. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, and I learned so many fun facts about Pittsburgh! Highly recommend!
The experience was fantastic. It was everything my wife and I have come to expect from food walking tours. Our guide, Marla, was very knowledgeable, not only about the food and establishments but also the strip district as a whole. She was professional, providing a trash bag for our garbage and always maintaining a bright, positive attitude throughout. The tour was a good length, and we strongly felt like we got our money's worth from the experience. The Strip district is practically flat, making it easy to traverse for all kinds of people, and when we took the tour, the crowds were manageable. While I cannot speak for any potential adjustments during hotter months, you will be spending some time outside so keep that in mind if you're looking to book in the summer. Still well worth it in my opinion. If you appreciate history, culture, and good food, I would highly recommend.
This was an amazing. Richard was knowledgeable and ADORABLE! I learned so much and related to some of it due to some information pertaining to my family in Fairmont, WV. The food was delicious and I appreciate all of the owners who took time out of their days to talk to us and of course, feed us! I would love to do this again. Thank you!
Amazing experience! Great food, merchants, history and stories! The pepperoni roll was our favorite. Such a vibrant part of Pittsburgh.
My boyfriend and I did this tour for his birthday. Richard was our tour guide - he was so friendly and made our tour so personal for us - he even reminded all the business owners that it was my boyfriend's birthday. This was such as wonderful experience - it was so nice to be able to visit all the local business, try the food (obviously), and learn about the history of the city. We are life-long western PA natives, but we learned so much that it gave us a new appreciation for our home! This tour also gave us great ideas of places we want to visit again in the future. Highly highly highly recommend. It was also incredibly affordable! We were so full afterwards that we didn't eat until the next day!
Great tour of the Strip District...perfect combination of history and local eats! Robert did a fantastic job of pointing out the history of the area along with the stories behind the fantastic cultural variety of foods!! Highly recommended!
Although native Pittsburghers, and despite having visited the Strip District numerous times, my mom and I had a wonderful time sampling food from shops I've never entered and learning history of the area that was "new" to both of us . Richard was GREAT! He connected with the group immediately, was delightfully funny, and his knowledge of the area is amazing. I would suggest if you take the 1PM tour have a small snack before the tour. There is a lot of info shared before the first tasting and the tour builds as it goes...we were literally stuffed by the end of the tour!
Barb was an Amazing tour guide. We enjoyed our tour so very much! We learned so much and ate so well! Would definitely recommend it to others. Well done!
Richard was a great guide! As a non-native Pittsburgher, I learned a lot about the Strip District, and all of the food was delicious! Would definitely go again!
We had a great time with Richard and would recommend the tour to anyone considering it. He was really knowledgeable and added in some extra surprises along the way!
I had a great time on this tour. Our guide, Marla, did an excellent job taking us to fun places and the food was terrific. I went back to three of the places today to buy additional food!
Great tour, highly recommend! We did the Friday afternoon tour with Richard. It was like taking a tour with an old friend- he was passionate about Pittsburgh and making sure everyone had a good experience. We visited several of the stops the following day. The food sampling takes awhile to get started, would recommend you eat before the tour. The initial samples are small, and the pace is leisurely, you will be starving like us if you don’t eat before you go!
Richard was outstanding! So knowledgeable and very funny. Highly recommend for all local yinzers and visitors to Pittsburgh!
This was an awesome food tour! I’ve lived in Pittsburgh for two years and have been to the strip district a lot. However, this tour went to places that I wasn’t as familiar with. The samples were generous in size and diverse. Everything was wonderful! Richard was a great tour guide, he was fun and informative. I highly recommend this tour!
Tour guide was great very knowledgeable and engaging. I actually did the Lower Lawrenceville tour. The samplings of foods was mediocre for some places. @ Greek grocery store they needed to dress salad with some Greek olives, to showcase. Greek oil. They also should explore more of the Greek feta cheese. Frankies hot dog place was not good- who eats boiled kielbassi sandwich with boiled onions! Need some grease to pop flavor! Last Lebanese Schwarma needs a sauce- chicken was dry , Also a little history of sandwich would have been nice.
The food was outstanding. The variety of dishes was perfect. We enjoyed listening to the owners/employees talking about their business. Richard was a terrific tour guide with so much historical knowledge. We learned alot about Pittsburgh and their food!
Excellent tour and Mary (our guide) was amazing! Mary was very knowledgeable and informative, plus she was fun. I highly recommend this tour and hope you get Mary as your guide.
We had family in town and thought a tour of the Strip District would be cool. We met at St. Patrick's Church which I never even knew after 58 years in the Burgh, existed, with a beautiful courtyard and wonderful interior with grand steps and a spiritual meaning. Sylvia was our tour guide. She is wonderful and had interesting facts about the church. Then, it was the start of the food portion of the tour! As we went into each mom and pop type business Sylvia knew the owners making it even more interesting as they personally spoke to us in many of the businesses. The food was amazing and the pride of their food made it even better! Be prepared to be "full" after this tour of businesses like Mancini's Bread, cinnamon bread swirl, yum, Mexican chips and salsa, middle Eastern, home -made hummus, a Italian Atomic pizza roll , doughnuts, amazing Italian sausage shop, biscotti, and to top it off ending up in a winery with a tasting! Many Cute restaurants will also be discovered that you would not know are even there! Sylvia interacted with us the entire time with her knowledge of the area. She is kind, smart, and runs a wonderful tour! The price is right, the food is right, the scenery is right, and this tour is right! We highly recommend it! We will be going again soon to the Lawrenceville Tour as she offers multiple tours of different areas of town! 5 Stars! Thank you, Sylvia for making our day! (412!!!!)
We had a great experience. Richard was our tour lead and he was great! seeing and hearing about the various cultures was fun and informative. the food was delicious. you get A LOT of food from various cultures. would definitely do this again!
