An awesome experience, our host, Mary was wonderful person, all around. A fantastic cook, and was willing to answer any questions we had. Also had jams and jellies that were available to purchase at a very reasonable price. This experience was the highlight of our Lancaster vacation! Our driver, Sandy was also fantastic, she is very knowledgeable and we learned alot about the Amish. Would highly recommend this tour!
Very interesting experience and I totally recommend it. The family we met with were very welcoming, gracious, open, and friendly. The meal they provided for us was delicious with some unique items, all homemade. A very educational day.
An authentic Amish meal in an Amish home with a wonderful hostess. Food was very good and we learned a lot about Amish culture. Highly recommended!
If you want to get a feel of being Amish and owing a farm this tour was fabulous. They cooked us an amazing meal as well. Had a fantastic time.
Perfect experience and wonderful food! Truly gives you the opportunity to explore the Amish culture in their home. Highly recommend!
The host and food was wonderful . Recommend to everyone learned a lot about the Armish . Had pumpkin pie like I have never had in my life and I am 83 years old . Tour guide was very knowledgeable and lots of fun .give it a 10 plus star
Great tour and great experience. Our tour guide Mike was excellent, the Amish hosts were amazing people and the food and atmosphere were fantastic. We had lunch and the food was delicious and our host Sara Ann and her husband are lovely people who gave us a lot of information about their lifestyle and traditions.Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for true Amish experience.
Moses was a great tour guide. Eating with the Amish family was the highlight of our trip. Lillian and Daniel were great host.
Sandy was a great tour guide, knowledgeable and fun. The meal was delish, the host was friendly and caring. Gave clarification on "no electricity", they use propane and solar.
Very informative about the Amish. It was short, concise, and straightforward information. Our group was just of modest size for a group tour in an Amish home. Moses, the tour guide, was very knowledgeable and eager in answering questions about the culture. Visiting an Amish residence helped us understand their way of life. Overall, the experience was memorable and highly recommended.
My husband and I treated a friend from Japan to a visit to an Amish home and a delicious lunch., something she would never have done on her own. The tour guide was superb! Gave an informative talk while driving the van so we could see the countryside on the way. The lady and her daughters were quite kind, answered everyone's questions, and gave us and our friend a view of Amish life we could not have experienced otherwise.
Great guide with lots of information Amish lady was very kind and welcoming. Meal was authentic and did contain lots of starches. Burnt buttered noodles, corn, fresh bread, chicken, beets and pickles, ice cream. Sweet family and we met the horses. Would recommend.
Excellent experience. We learned a lot, had a delicious meal, and were thoroughly entertained. Both the tour guide and the Amish hostess were exceptional.
The food was something we could have gotten in a buffet. We were expecting a tour with an Amish guide around the property. It was a newly built house. No history. I threw $100 out the windiest
This tour was a wonderful experience. The family we visited were very welcoming & the meal was delicious!
Wonderful experiences, great guide with lots of information, good food, and fun.
Moses was so knowledgeable and kind. He was a top tier guide. Sara welcomed us into her home and was very hospitable. She provided quite the spread of good food and was happy to answer questions. We had a great experience.
Lilian and Daniel's home for dinner. Lilian was very welcoming and the dinner was delicious. She was also minding her own children while serving us. They had a small barn for 3 horses next to the horse and 2 cute small dogs who enjoyed everyone's tummy tickles. Very sweet family. We enjoyed talking with Lilian.
We totally enjoyed the experience. The guide was very knowledgeable and we left having a better understanding of the Amish people. We felt very welcomed in our host’s home and were treated to a wonderful meal. We highly recommend this tour!
This was a great experience. On the drive to and from the house, Moses gave a lot of information that gave us a better understanding of the Amish. The meal was wonderful. I really learned a lot. Meeting point was easy to find.
Wow! We booked this last minute and so glad we did! We met our tour guide Moses at the pickup location which was the visitor center. He greeted us and was so nice! We loaded up in the van and he gave us all ear pieces and along the way he was so informative of the Amish lifestyle. We arrived at the home of Lillian and Daniel and they were so kind. The food was amazing, and they were open to answer any of our questions. They had two adorable children, Alana and Micah. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by, it’s the best experience we’ve ever had. Thank all of you for making this so special.
Moses picked us up and on the drive to Sarah’s house he gave us great information about the Amish and their way of life. He answered all of our questions and was really good at pointing out sights along the way. Our hostess Sarah prepared a delicious lunch in her beautiful home and told us about her family and also answered our questions. The experience was perfect and we came away with a good bit of knowledge about the Amish. We would highly recommend this tour!
What a wonderful, informative tour! Sandy is very knowledgeable about the Amish community, and my husband and I learned so much from her. The highlight for us was our lunch in Emma's home. The food was absolutely delicious, and Emma was such a kind and gracious host. Seeing the animals on her family farm was an added bonus. We're so glad that we chose this tour, and we recommend it highly!
You will be picked up and driven to an Amish family barn where the wife will greet you all. You will have a lunch, small conversation and driven back to the pick up location. This for $100.
Sarah was very welcoming and food was delicious. Sandy our tour guide was very informative and kind
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Amish experience. Our host served us a wonderful meal and was most kind and courteous. We would highly recommend this tour.
My wife and I had a wonderful time. We got super lucky and we were the only ones on the tour and lunch. They said they run the tour regardless so that is good to know. We had a nice informative tour of the Amish countryside and learned many fascinating things about the Amish way of life. The lunch was delicious and the host mother was very genuine and happy to answer questions. The Amish adherence to horse drawn buggies is some serious devotion. Maintaining multiple horses and all the space, maintenance and food that it requires boggles my mind.
Dale was a great driver and a wealth of history. Very informative. We had the most delicious meal at an Amish farm. Wonderful hostess. Want to come back! It’s a must to do!
The whole experience was amazing—very informative and interesting. The place we visited for the tour and lunch was wonderful; the host was so sweet, and the food was amazing. Dale, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and a captivating storyteller. He made the entire experience even more enjoyable and memorable.
Sandy is an excellent guide to Ammish culure and bridging between mainstream USA culture and the Ammish culture. The Sara family was very kind and the food delicious. Normally I don't like this type of activity but I learned very much and the experience was well organized and conducted. My only gripe is that downtown pickup/ dropoff should be possible.
Sit down meal with an Amish family was awesome! Wish we had also stopped at one of the quilt houses.
Was a wonderful experience and the food was delicious and the Driver was excellent!
What a wonderful experience. One of our highlights of our trip. Highly recommend doing this tour to meet an Amish family and have lunch with them. Our guide Dave was excellent! We would definitely do this again.
This was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide was very personable and we enjoyed his tour. Our meal and visit at the Amish house was a highlight of our trip. The hostess served a very tasty meal. She ate with us and answered any questions we had. Her home was lovely. I would absolutely recommend this Authentic Tour & Meal with the Amish. You won't be disappointed.
Enjoyed a nice bus ride through Amish country while our tour guide, Dave, answered questions and imparted to us the lifestyle of the local Amish. Had a wonderful lunch prepared by a local Amish family such as bread, Meatloaf, veggies, dessert and more! Enjoyed conversation with other participants in the tour as well as our host family and our tour guide. Would definitely do it again, there are multiple host families.
Moses was a friendly and knowledgeable guide and hostess Sarah and her children were a joy to meet. Thank you for welcoming us into your home.
Second time we took this tour. Very informative drivers. Spending time with the Amish family was the best.
Amish family was AMAZING, food was great and guide was very knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend
I was concerned about the meal (because I'm lactose intolerant) but decided to try this tour anyway. What I was able to eat was delicious and flavorful. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I learned quite a bit about the Amish people.
We can't recommend this tour enough! Moses was our tour guide and he provided interesting information and answered every question. Lillian, welcomed us into her home as if we were old friends. Any concern we had about visiting an Amish family was immediately wiped away. She told us about her family, the "district" makeup, her vacations and what big pickleball players she, her husband and friends are. That was quite a surprise! The meal she provided was absolutely delicious. We started with homemade bread and cinnamon butter. She prepared 2 meats, 2 starches, a fresh vegetable, coleslaw and bread and butter pickles. She finished with homemade whoopie pies and an amazing blueberry crumble with ice cream.
We had such a wonderful experience visiting this Amish family for dinner. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The meal was made with fresh vegetables and other homegrown, homemade ingredients, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. You could really taste the quality and care that went into preparing the food. It was more than just a meal—it was a chance to enjoy simple, wholesome cooking and warm hospitality. We truly appreciated the time they spent with us and the opportunity to experience a small part of their way of life. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic, memorable, and delicious meal.
Our Tour Guide Moses was fantastic and the Amish Family and food was great! I highly recommend you get to really see how a household functions with the kids and the beauty of the simple life
The meal with the Amish family was highly instructive in helping to understand Amish culture, and the the food was great.
I had a wonderful time with Moses and Sarah during this experience! Moses was very passionate and informative about the local history and culture and the drive went by quickly as he discussed Amish living. The food was exquisite! It was all fresh, delicious, and homemade. Afterwards the kids took pony rides with a little buggy which was so cute. I highly recommend this experience if you’re looking for a fun and informative time!
Moses was our excellent tour guide.. Thank you Moses for an unforgettable experience, sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm . Would love to do this again.
We had a wonderful time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food was absolutely delicious, and we learned so many interesting things along the way. It was a truly enjoyable and memorable experience. Thank you, Moisei and Susan, for your kindness and hospitality!
Knowledgeable guide, great group, and are Amish host Susie prepared a great meal sharing knowledge of her life.
We absolutely loved this tour! Our guide, Sandy, was super knowledgeable and informative which made the bus tour extra interesting. We liked having a 14-passenger van instead of a big bus. Our Amish host, Emma, was so nice and the meal was delicious! It was nice seeing the house and farm and learning more about the Amish.
Our driver moses was wonderful. He could answer any question we had about the Amish. He gave good info. The Amish woman Martha who cooked and served us dinner in her home was so pleasant n her dinner was sooo good. Loved seeing her home..I would highly recommend this tour.
