Disappointing Experience for Our First Anniversary My girlfriend and I chose The Swiftwater to celebrate our one-year anniversary, hoping for a luxurious, memorable, and special experience. Unfortunately, our overall stay was disappointing, especially considering we spent approximately $1,000. While the service was okay, it did not feel as exceptional as we expected from a luxury hotel at this price point. We were also disappointed by the limited options available for breakfast and food. For the amount of money we spent, we expected more variety, better service, and an overall experience that felt worth the price. An anniversary is a special occasion, and we chose this hotel hoping to make lasting memories together. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations, and we left feeling that we did not receive the level of luxury or value we paid for. Overall, we expected much more from a hotel in this price range. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration and makes improvements so future guests can have the special experience they are paying for.

My husband and I went to Swifwater for our Six year Wedding anniversary. We had not traveled in a while and we’re looking forward to going to a new state and having a good time. If you choose to stay at the Swifwater Hotel. Make sure you are traveling with a lot of money in your pockets are heavy Because they voluntarily take out 20% gratuity at their restaurant And they’re still in distilled water bottles are $30 for just one quart. We were hit with a heavy bill for breakfast. The food was not worth the price. We had fried eggs an English muffin We had fried eggs an English muffin that was burnt and fake salmons the toast was also burned. In addition, majority of the people were friendly and accommodating, but we came across a few staff that were prejudice And not friendly at all. You could tell they were just there to appease a Group of People. The rooms were beautiful however, the walls were paper thin we could hear the people above us walking and banging. It took away from the romantic experience and we could not sleep. The best thing at the hotel is the hot water pool. It was very clean and maintained in the hotel is beautiful. If you’re looking for a romantic getaway, do your work and search for other options. I will rate the Swiftwater as a 3 1/2 out of Five.
Just spent 2 days here and the best part for us was the people. Shout out to Nico (manager), Jonathan (concierge), Stephen (waiter / bartender) and Karol (waiter). You guys are awesome. It was great getting to meet you. The only knock I have is the concierge lounge breakfast was ok, but could be better. Room was great. Restaurant was fantastic. Karol makes a mean peach flambe. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, but did check it out. Water definitely heated, not just a heated room with a cold water pool. We hope to return soon. We shall see.
Our stay at The Swiftwater was very enjoyable overall, but unfortunately, a significant housekeeping issue affected our experience. On two consecutive days, housekeeping left our hotel room unsecured after servicing it. This made both my husband and me extremely uncomfortable, especially knowing that our personal belongings and privacy were left vulnerable. I did speak directly with front-of-house management, who was attentive to my concerns, made notes regarding both incidents, and assured me the matter would be addressed with senior staff and the housekeeping team. Upon checkout, I followed up again and was told someone would be contacting me regarding the situation and the inconvenience it caused. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive that follow-up. Regardless of how it happened, having our room left unsecured on two separate occasions was concerning and made us feel that our privacy and security had been compromised. Aside from this issue, our stay was very good. The hotel itself is elegant, the grounds are beautiful, and the staff were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. We stayed in a Concierge Suite, and having access to the concierge area 24 hours a day was extremely convenient. The heated indoor/outdoor pool was delightful, with a wonderful atmosphere that we really enjoyed. Our only other concern was the bed, which had a noticeable dip in the middle and wasn’t as comfortable as we had hoped.Overall, The Swiftwater is a beautiful property with wonderful amenities and lovely staff. Had it not been for the repeated issue with our room being left unsecured and the lack of follow-up afterward, our experience would have been excellent.
We chose this hotel for a relaxing luxury getaway in the Poconos, and while the property itself has good potential, our overall experience was disappointing—especially considering the price point. We visited during Labor Day weekend, so the hotel was extremely crowded. One thing that caught us by surprise was that breakfast was not complimentary and cost approximately $35 per person. As vegetarians, we found the options limited and chose not to use it. The weather during our stay was cold and rainy, and although the hotel has a heated swimming pool, it is quite small and remained consistently overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy. The biggest issue was housekeeping. We repeatedly had to call multiple times each day before receiving service, and it seemed the hotel was understaffed during peak occupancy. Another major concern was that the hotel was not very baby-friendly. We were traveling with an infant and needed access to a microwave to sterilize bottles, but the only microwave available was near the help desk rather than in a common guest-accessible area. That said, I genuinely appreciate the front desk staff, who were kind and helped us sterilize bottles and warm our food whenever needed. We also struggled with dining. The fine dining restaurant was difficult to access due to limited seating availability, and we were unable to enjoy that experience during our stay. Overall, for a stay that cost around $1,000 for three nights, we felt we did not receive the level of service and convenience expected at this price point. Unfortunately, our experience was frustrating enough that we decided to leave a day early. Unless service levels and guest amenities improve, I would not recommend this property for families with babies or for travelers expecting a premium luxury experience.
