Mount Airy Casino And Resort

​Great Stay & Atmosphere! ​The room was very clean, modern, and nicely kept. It included a convenient mini-bar stocked with items that automatically bill directly to your room. ​The resort features fantastic amenities, including an indoor/outdoor pool with poolside dining where you can either bill food to your room or pay on the spot. The resort also boasts a great golf course. ​The casino floor itself is very spacious with plenty of table games available, giving off a classic, old-school gambling vibe. Highly recommended!

Update... Thank you for your response Mt. Airy, but your pool is not heated at 84degrees, more like 58. If it was I would have stayed in the pool my whole trip instead of going else where to swim and spend more money. I was not the only person not happy with the pool temp. The pool temp was a conversation starter with other couples sitting at the pool eating and drinking. I have video watching other persons reaction getting in the pool. You have it yourself on your video surveillance. This is a very nice place, but I really came for the pool. Not what I hoped for since the pool was cold as h...... It felt like 58degrees outside temp, even after moving around. This water was NOT 80-82degrees. I was hoping for a warm pool like I had at the Embassy which was 80 degrees . The staff are very friendly and courteous. The casino looks nice from me walking around in there. I don't gamble, so I didn't stay in there long. They have several food options to choose from so you won't have to leave the resort. If you are coming here on Monday or Tuesday the buffet will not be open. Just a heads up on that. The rooms are very nice and spacious, well my room was. I had a suite on the 5th floor. Valet comes with your suite also by the way. Update...I wanted to cancel the rest of my stay here and stay at Kalahari since their pool was heated and felt heated so I didn't have to pay for the pool separate, but both parties have to agree. Too late to cancel rest of stay, but They did not give me what I was promised and that is a heated pool. I'm not a gambler so I didn't use or partake in that activity.

Upon arriving I was immediately chastised by a security guard as I was trying to pass through the casino to get to the hotel lobby to check in. He did not stop the people in front of us but made me feel like I was an idiot and a child trying to sneak into a place underage. It was my first time there and I haven’t been in a casino so I wasn’t used to the protocol, I would have completely understood had he been nice about it. The next day we had to get rechecked by a different set of security and they were an absolute delight and made good conversation with us even after ID checking, the initial person I dealt with clearly has an issue being responsible with his authority. Restaurant staff were also very careless and slightly rude. I politely pointed out, apologizing as I did, how one of our $15 milkshakes wasn’t filled all the way to the top and instead of receiving apology our server said it was the same amount of alcohol (not where I was angry, I just wanted an expensive drink properly filled. And also my milkshake was STRONGLY overpoured while the other was fine, so no- not the same amount of alcohol) and just topped it with some cream instead of offering a remake. The pool is a four season pool, yet it isn’t heated. They have jets going but they’re cold as is the rest of the pool. What sort of four season pool doesn’t offer a bit of heat during the off seasons? I had wanted to book a spa service and had called a few times before my trip, including leaving a voicemail and I never received a call back or an answer. I’m glad in the end I wasn’t able to book a service as I’m sure I would have been let down with that as well. I came here for my birthday and was sorely disappointed the whole trip. The host who checked us in and the two security guards that chatted with us our second day were the only nice and enjoyable interactions we had the entire time and I am very grateful to those three though I will not be returning to the resort.

The service and the details of the hotel room are truly beautiful. I love Mount Airy Casino. This was my first visit, and I instantly fell in love. From the warm check-in offering bottles of water, to being assisted to my room, and then enjoying the casino floor—everything felt welcoming. Although the smoky environment is part of the experience and worth it for many, I understand that if you're asthmatic or sensitive to smoke, it might not be the best for you. I did hear they used to allow kids in here but ended up stopping that they should definitely try to bring that back
