I absolutely love this hotel. I stumbled on this gem when looking for somewhere cool and affordable. I stayed in one of the suites and loved the layout and room. The hotel itself has a great bar/restaurant with good food that you can grab quick. Everything was clean and looked well kept. The rooftop patio was amazing to just sit and take in Pittsburgh. All around everything is a convenient walk from the Joinery. Honestly I will be returning every time I get to Pittsburgh. Also, I wish I would have gotten her name but the Woman taking care of The Front Desk/Coffee Bar always has a positive attitude even when she couldn't even make Room Keys.

We booked our wedding ceremony at the rooftop terrace at the Joinery Hotel and it was an absolutely beautiful and incredible time! Scott worked hard to ensure we had everything we needed, the chairs and area were set up perfectly upon our arrival, the staff was so sweet and caring from valet to the front desk to the management. They even were kind enough to allow us to take photos inside their lobby for stunning photos of our wedding party. Everyone told us how much they enjoyed their time at the hotel and how beautiful the ceremony was. The photos turned out better than we could have imagined and we are all so happy and grateful to have had our big day at the Joinery. I would absolutely recommend the hotel to anyone looking to book their ceremony for the rooftop or to book any event. Thank you again to Scott and the whole staff!
We spent the weekend in Pittsburgh celebrating our anniversary and the Joinery was perfect! We stayed in the Presidential Suite Penthouse and it had great views of the city from the private terrace connected to the room or the rooftop terrace accessible from the 10th floor. The service was spectacular and the atmosphere is stunning from the lobby to the restaurant on site, this is one classy venue. The room was welcoming with an open living room. The bedroom with the high ceilings felt roomy and comfortable. The walk in shower and large bathroom connected to the room met every need we had. The clothing steamer was a great tool after unpacking to freshen up our garments before going out. It is within walking distance of the Gateway Clipper and many area attractions/restaurants near Station Square. The valet parking team is very responsive and respectful. The little coffee bar at the front desk was a great treat too if you need an iced mocha or something hot to sip. If you’re looking for a unique experience, Hilton has a gem here. Check it out.
Reconsidering my Hilton Honors membership. I travel often for work nationally. Was in Pittsburgh for a conference. A travel agency represented themselves in a way that made me believe they were affiliated with the conference when they contacted me. I booked through the travel agency. The agency confirmed my honors membership leaving me to believe my honors number would be applied. When I inquired with hotel on site, the agency booked with third party expedia. Hilton did not honor my stay for points because of this. Had I known, this was an expedia booking, I would have just booked myself as I normally do. The Joinery hotel was highly disappointing. There was no closet or dresser. No microwave. Just a rack above a small refrigerator. To hang your clothes is to drape them on the refrigerator because the clearance was very short. There was no iron or ironing board. A steamer that spewed water everywhere was available in the room. When I called the front desk, attendant stated housekeeping doesn't arrive until 9am so I can't have an iron which was located in the locked housekeeping closet. There was no table or chairs to sit. Bed was very uncomfortable. Window view was a brick side of building next door. The A/C unit was so loud you couldn't sleep. Temperature was very odd, hot then cold then hot again in the room. A few other disappointing things as well during my stay. My stay was horrible. Very disappointing. And the travel agency was very misleading. Definitely a learning experience as I book future work and personal travel.
Great location. Nice lobby with a bar. Full restaurant and 2nd bar. Great food. Clean room. Shower was not great. Walk-in style but water got all over the floor, slippery. They took our towels during cleaning and did not replace them. The front desk gave us floor mats instead of towels. Did not offer free coffee to guests.
