Had a extremely wonderful experience with the night shift receptionist, Shakeemah. Every night I stayed, almost 3 weeks, she was extremely pleasant, helpful and always greeted me happy and helpful! Very patient with my initial complications checking in and made sure day shift was aware as well. Unfortunately the room wasn't 100%, and eventhough I told Shakeemah, utility never fixed the issue in my room. I would still stay again, just from the best receptionist!

The breakfast attendant was probably the most frustrating part. She was rude when asked simple questions, like whether there was more cream cheese, and makes passive-aggressive remarks. The cleanliness here is lacking. Our headboard had a weird sticky substance on it with pieces of hair stuck in it, and when I wiped it off, the residue was brown. The room also feels damp and uncomfortable whenever the AC is running. Breakfast is mediocre at best. The waffle machines are constantly a mess because there’s no cooking spray, and the “hot” water for tea was cold. Between the poor cleanliness, damp rooms, average breakfast, and unfriendly service, I would not recommend staying here.
I give it a 3.5. Place is really clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is a plus. I gave it a 3.5 because I was only there for 2 nights (went to a wedding). The pool looked refreshing. The fitness room also looked neat and tidy. Not huge but in good order. Plenty of parking. They are animal friendly !!!
I love the location-it's quiet despite being hear a highway. I could see the mountain from my room and part of the river flows behind. It is in the historic district, so walking around and seeing the nicely maintained homes and properties was very enjoyable. The rooms are nice. Maybe this is not the norm, but breakfast was very poorly maintained-minimal food and serving areas not kept clean, and this was at 9am-breakfast was until 10. "Hot" water was barely warm. Regarding Front Desk staff-twice I needed something and was ignored upon approaching the desk. I had to initiate conversation both times-interrupting whatever she was watching on her phone. Staff training is desperately needed here.
The cleaning staff I encountered were lovely and kind, the breakfast was enjoyable, and the location was perfect for being in downtown Stroudsburg. Unfortunately, the condition of the room and hotel itself was very disappointing. For a “smoke-free” hotel, the hallways had a strong smell of smoke. While that odor thankfully didn’t carry into the room, it’s still not what you expect when paying over $100 per night. I will note that the smoke smell did improve during my stay. When I entered the room, I immediately noticed cleanliness issues. Both lampshades had strange splatter marks, the bed skirt had visible stains, and there was hair in the shower. I usually wipe down surfaces when I arrive, but this went beyond what basic sanitizing can fix. I did contact the front desk to request a new bed skirt, and they did replace it, which I appreciated, but that’s something that really should have been addressed before my arrival. Additionally, there were issues at the front desk regarding our wedding room block. Some guests were not given the correct accommodations tied to the block, and when asking about welcome bags, the front-of-house staff appeared to be looking through them and were rude when questioned about it. This added an unnecessary level of frustration to what should have been a smooth experience. I’ve attached photos to show the condition of the room and I have contacted Hilton directly for the issues.
