Mercure Rennes Centre Gare

For my needs it was fine. Very no-nonsense rooms. Bathrooms are big and lots of counterspace.

Maelyse delivered THE BEST customer service. When we arrived the had learned that the AC was not as advertised but Maelyse was so helpful! She did everything she could to make sure we had a comfortable stay. She truly went above and beyond. She 100% made our stay and sleeps so much better. Thank you :)

Nice location, and even nicer, found very nice restaurant near it. So two-in-one advantage

Rooms: Very run down and dirty. Walls of mold, air conditioning doesnt work, small windows. Beds (we were in a 2 twin bed room) were really small as well -- not to mention ants crawling through the rooms (pretty sure I was bit by a few ants when sleeping 🫠). Service: Unsure, we were part of a tour group. However, what I can say is that the elevators are horrible. There are 2 small elevators for the entire building. It took us 30 minutes to get everyone down since it was so congested. Location: Médiocre. The area has graffiti all over it. Shady people everywhere (even standing right in front of the lobby) posing as a hotel porter to steal your luggages. Feels very unsafe to go out for a walk. At night while trying to sleep you can hear kids screaming outside at 12am. Breakfast: Croissant and Pain au chocolat were good. Not a wide variety of food options.
