Mercure Le Mans Batignolles

It was a last minute booking as so glad we made it. Whole place is spotless, rooms are clean and have everything you need. Breakfast had a vast choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Would recommend a stay.

Just to make future guests aware the majority of rooms are in the old non-refurbished part of the hotel, not the refreshed images shown widely on Google and the booking sites. Our room and amenities would have been inline with a two star hotel. Tight floor plan, plain walls and hospital room vibe, hard unsupportive mattress, prickly bedsheets, air conditioning that was weak and made the room smell like a rubbish tip, one towel for two guests etc. Positives were that parking was secure and staff reasonable. My luke warm review is based in managing expectations. We believed that we were paying a higher rate for a room above a two star, based on the online images, and the reality was starkly different.

Clean well maintained hotel with small restaurant and overnight car charging. Room smallish and aircon noisy, however window opened for fresh air.

We stayed for 2 nights travelling through back to the UK. From the start, Manuel and his team went over and above to accommodate us, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is well located, clean, stylish and has everything you need. Admittedly, the rooms are basic but expected for this level of accommodation - pets are welcome as well. We couldn't of asked for anything more. Will definitely recommend
