Le Manoir Du Lys, The Originals Relais (Relais Du Silence)

My husband, myself and two friends stayed at the Manoir du Lys in July this year at the end of a three week holiday. Arriving at the hotel,I was pleased with the free parking, grounds, reception area, and greeting given by the staff. Our room No 28 was on the 2nd floor, lift only goes to first.We had to ascend two flights of stairs and disappointingly there was a musty smell in this area, which remained throughout our stay...Bed was comfy and linen spotless, however we were disappointed in the bathroom which was in need of a makeover and carpet was faded and well used. Dinner that evening was enjoyable and staff pleasant. Please review your check out bill carefully....We were charged for two glasses of champagne pre dinner when we only had rose, we were also charged for two bottles of wine at dinner, when we only had one, also charged for bottle water when we had tap, Amuse bouche [ which we had been told were free pre meal ] were not...After numerous e.mails Manoir du Lys refunded us the bottle water, one bottle of wine and also the price charged for amuse bouche.However we were never reimbursed the difference between our rose wine and the champagne. There was no apology from The Manoir Du Lys regarding their billing mistakes...Sadly we will not be returning.

Fantastic food with a wild mushroom theme. The bedrooms are fantastic and very well prepared. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here with our dogs who are made most welcome and we will be back.

Beautiful quiet location not far from the center of town. Excellent rooms and fabulous parking accommodations. Friendly and accommodating staff, dog friendly, and not to miss restaurant. We will come back.

Room was very hot, very small and stuffy. No fan and no air conditioning. No window to open, only a door, couldn’t leave open at night. First night, the food was fine, second evening unfortunately, the protein element was rubbery. Outside terrace and grounds quite pretty.
