So relaxing. Nice clean, air conditioned rooms. A beautiful pool. Delicious food. The staff were great too.

I have stayed there three times for business. I honestly can say that my experiences were nothing but amazing. Please do not expect a super modern hotel with lots of ammentities, but expect a very hardworking team, great wine, unbelievable food and extreme cleanliness. Their breakfast is to die for.

The château itself is beautiful, with charming architecture that promises a unique experience. with charming architecture that immediately catches your eye and promises a unique experience. However, unfortunately, the stay doesn't live up to what one would expect from a place of this caliber. Unfortunately, the reality of the stay does not live up to that first impression. NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH?!?!!!! The rooms are not inside the château but rather in a cold, and unattractive annexes, with a design that resembles more a boarding school or even a detention facility than a boutique hotel. The view faces ongoing construction sites, with constant noise and trucks passing throughout the day, which eliminates any sense of peace. This area feels as if it were intended for the “less worthy” guests of the establishment, making a clear distinction between locals and foreign visitors. Room cleanliness is highly questionable. Sheets were never changed, only stretched over, and soap dispensers were neither checked nor refilled. On our first night, we discovered a nest of spiders in the room… OVER THE BED we requested fumigation or at least insecticide, but no help or solution was ever provided…. They look at us like we were the responsible for that … There are no basic services: no room service, no laundry, no iron available, and nothing that justifies a four-star rating. The restaurant only opens passing 19 pm …. With booking only … so if you don’t schedule one you’ll be spending all night without eating…….they don’t give a miserable sandwich over the counter or give service even if there are open tables. The front desk only works during office hours, leaving guests completely unattended at night. Even worse, the main entrance to the property is never locked, which forces you to secure your room and hope for the best. ( anyone can enter) The staff, both at reception and in the restaurant, is cold, impersonal, and at times even condescending. You never feel truly welcome. ⚠️ Strong recommendation: Do not stay here unless you are fully prepared to handle all services yourself, at your own expense, and by traveling to the nearby town located 8 km away—only during working hours, when services are actually available and not the best ones… In conclusion: a historic and beautiful setting utterly wasted by poor facilities, questionable cleanliness, careless service, and a lack of hospitality. A major disappointment.
