Best Western Plus Hotel De La Regate

Beautiful hotel. They have an eco-responsable approach which sounds good and probably works most of the time, but not in Summer. The rooms were very hot, and we were offered small ventilators. We were very disappointed because the place is really nice. The disappointment was such that even when they showed us other rooms in the tower part of the hotel, which were a little bit fresher but still not cool enough, our enthusiasm was turned off, and we chose not to stay. I trusted them and paid on arrival, the hotel says that everything was spelled out on the reservation sites and refuses to reimburse me. Contractually fair enough but that was for 2 rooms so I lost a good chunk of money. So my advice: don't go in Summer for sure, and perhaps in Winter too in case rooms become very cold due to their insufficient system.

A great hotel for a 1-2 night stay. It is located right by the river and in the middle of the forest, so it feels very peaceful and serene. It is a perfect place if you are looking for some tranquility. Just a heads-up: there is no mini-bar in the room. Also, the breakfast could be a bit more varied - for example, it would be nice to have some fresh vegetables.

DANGER OF HACKING PERSONAL DATA - Me and several other travellers received fraudulent What'sApp messages suggesting the payment to Booking.com did not go through. The hacker had access to my full name, email address, phone number, reservation number and dates. I just hope the Hotel has not stored my Credit Card number. Discussing the issue with the Hotel staff, they did not understand the gravity of the situation and blamed Booking.com. This is reckless at best. I would stay away to avoid sharing personal data.

I had a great stay here. Personally the location worked for me bc I didnt want to be in the city. I loved my room and all the front desk staff were incredibly helpful. I stayed in a cool season. I might hesitate to come in warmer months only bc rooms dont seem to have ac but they do provide fans. However my room had a tub w rainfall shower head in its own room, which I much prefer to the open floor showers I kept seeing at other hotels that were part of the room w the bed.
