I have been in a lot of Adagio 4 star apartments but this one was by far the worst. The apartments are old there is mold in the shower the wooden floor is coming up and you hear a lot of noise even if you have a courtyard window. The staff is not interested and slow and have no attention. I was happy not to have booked a breakfast for 2 for 35 euro, it looked so bad and was not a 4 star breakfast. They don’t have a bar and you can’t buy anything. They also had window cleaners in the week I was there and you had to make room and let them in on their conditions. Too bad this aparthotel has such bad management because location is great and hospitality can make a big difference. —- Update: Changed rating in 3 stars. My opinion about the window cleaners was based on written information at the reception desk, thanks for the clarification. I can judge breakfast by seeing it because it gives a clear view on what they offer and the quality. Staff is not bad but needs more hospitality training, greeting guests and informing how their stay is/was. And I know there was no bar but it is something I missed especially because most adagio 4* have.

We had a great experience at Aparthotel Adagio. The location is absolutely beautiful, and one of the highlights for us was the free, secure bike storage, perfect for cyclists. For cars or motorbikes, there is paid parking available. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which really made us feel welcome. The apartment itself was well-equipped with everything you could possibly need: a small kitchen with various appliances (even a compact dishwasher!), a spacious bathroom with both a bathtub and a separate shower, and a separate toilet, which was a big plus. The room also had large windows that could be fully opened, a comfortable, sturdy bed, and there was an elevator in the building, very convenient. That said, the place could use a bit of maintenance. The heavy blackout curtains had some holes, the sliding panels on the wardrobe were cracked, a lampshade was broken, and the floor showed signs of past water damage. Nothing major, and it didn’t affect our enjoyment, but it’s worth mentioning. The hotel itself was quiet and peaceful, which we really appreciated. We had a room at the front with an amazing view. The only downside was that sleeping with the window open wasn’t an option due to street noise, and there’s no air conditioning, which might be a concern in warmer months. All in all, a lovely stay in a fantastic location, we would definitely come back!
Nice place, the staff was super helpful and smiley (difficult for France) The rooms were nicely decorated, clean, spacious and provided amenities to even cook if you want to - which is always useful for a relatively expensive city like Nantes. The bed was comfortable and most importantly the wifi really fast. We did not have the breakfast but it looked good I am only giving a star less because of something weird, I have never seen in any other hotels... What genius designed the WC door to be like a 'Saloon door' and not really keep it more private???? I mean, sometimes it is nice for a couple to have a bit of intimacy but toilet should be more private in my opinion... Another thing, we stayed in the 2nd floor which was overlooking the alley and during the night there were a few drunk or people shouting, which was a bit scary but ok....
My husband and I were able to get a reservation on short notice during a busy weekend and were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms are incredibly spacious (due to being mini apartments, but still!) and the bathroom held both a standing shower & a separate bathtub. The front desk staff that we interacted with were very kind and welcoming and we found the location of the hotel to be ideally located just minutes from the train station and from local transit.
Wonderful friendly staff who go out of their way to care for guests. A very convenient, a comfortable hotel with free coffee in the lobby. A short walk from the station and very easy to wheel your suitcase right up to the lobby. Nantes is lovely expressive city full of culture and life. I was here for collaboration at a conference.
