We stayed at the skier's inn in San Martin de los Andes. Very clean everything, not too big rooms but with everything you need, excellent staff attention, very good breakfast.

Itinerary
Your scenic drive first takes you through Lanín National Park into the Pampa de Trompul, part of a local indigenous Mapuche community’s territory. Pass by the Piedra de Trompul, or ‘Chief’s stone’ in the Mapuche language. According to legend, strong thunder in its vicinity means rain or snow is coming. In the distance, look out for Savannah Mountain and Cerro Colorado, an extinct volcano.
Experience the captivating beauty of Peninsula de Yuco and its beautiful beaches, where you'll discover the mesmerizing Andean-Patagonian forest. Witness the rich diversity of pellin, oak, and coihue trees, immersing yourself in the tranquil surroundings and natural splendor of this captivating destination.
On the way back along route 48, we'll pass by the meeting point of Lakes Lácar and Nonthué, offering a picturesque view to remember.
We arrive at the border with Chile, where there are some small constructions from the beginning of the century, whose buildings are used by institutions such as Customs, Gendarmeria, there is also a house-museum of an old settler family, whose main income was the exploitation of wood, until the creation of National Parks.
Then, we will cross the Hua Hum river to reach a resting place inside the national park and starting point for a nice and quiet walk to the Chachín waterfall, where we will have the possibility to walk inside this colourful vegetation formed by ferns, quivers, nalcas, and millenary trees. Thanks to this easygoing 30-minute hike up to Chachin Waterfall, admire from a balcony, the 65-foot (20-meter) cascade roaring down into a clear green pool of water.
We'll wrap up our tour around 7 pm as we dock at Lacar Pier, marking the end of our journey.

Excellent excursion We loved the ride The boat in perfect condition The wonderful tour the landscapes The very but very friendly guides Very cordial and explained everything with a lot of dedication Juli a divine !!!!! Highly recommended to do this excursion
very good and inspiring since at almost 80 years old I climbed the 1000 meters to see the chachin waterfall. They are guided by a few kingpins. very good not only tell stories but teach you about the variety of plants.
We did this excursion with the people from the tourism refuge, an excellent experience since they did not explain in great detail everything that we had to note, the preparation and predisposition, we visited the Chachin waterfall and even though the entire excursion was carried out under torrential rain, it was very enjoyable.
Beautiful. All points are worth knowing I'm coming back. I'm given corners to meet. Wonderful experience.
Beautiful experience, very nice sailing and each place has a special charm Even some destinations I had visited before on land excursions, and this excursion is much more complete
I went on an excursion we visited Paraje and Hua Hum River, Yuco, Chachin Waterfall, Nonthue Lakes and Lacar.... It's beautiful!!!!
Horrible, not the opposite. I contracted with TripAdvisor and 5 days before the date, they started calling me from the El Claro Enterprise, to change the day. The day before the excursion they communicate (several times) with the Tangol Enterprise to coordinate hotel pickup times and are confused by excursion and time. We end up doing anything, nothing to do with the opposite. I claimed when I arrived in Tangol and was made to pay again for the tour, as the amount was less than I had paid, pledging that TripAdvisor would refund the payment in dollars of the tour that was not made. In addition, the excursion is offered through a platform in Argentine pesos and at the time of check-in they do so in dollars.
Nothing else in the world... we really thought about something else and it didn't live up to our expectations. Expensive not to see anything different and exhorbitant prices in the restaurant what is at the foot of the mooring. Good lake crossing and nothing more
Very nice outing, wonderful scenery, nice guide.the employee who sells ticket, needs training.Very nervous and spoke very impolitely. Except that, very nice walk
Beautiful excursion, tiring the path of ripio but worth it. Yuco beach is beautiful to have some mattes, the fantastic lake, those incredible landscapes. Hua Hum is a really nice place. You can take a catamaran trip on one of the lakes but I decided to stay to enjoy the tranquility and beautiful scenery. The waterfall is not a big deal but on the crossing, it is unmissable, the road is nice but on the climb about 1200 m. I totally recommend it
Beautiful excursion. Taking the provincial route n°48 of ripio, well-signposted travel about 60 km. through the Valdiviana jungle you can see the beauty of the mountain range. There are several sectors to stop and tour; Yuco, Lake Nonthue, Chachin Waterfall.
The best excursion of San Martin !!! The places are amazing! It's worth taking this trip! The good vibe of the guides! Juliet a great and captains are the most! We were accompanying the captain in his cabin the whole trip and enjoyed it very much! It's really a beautiful experience!
Beautiful landscapes, the incredible walk, between trees and the sound of water that you cannot see, almost arriving you can see for now the river until you reach the waterfalls: impressive and majestic, one is left to listen to the monotonous noise of the waterfalls
We did it on our own by own vehicle, the tour is impressive, in the end the hike to Cachin Fall very nice. It is an excursion to do in a day, starting as early as possible to enjoy the tour and the stops. As we say with my lady, RICHES FOR THE SOUL.
Diaphanous and sunny day, spectacular sailing and thorough guide in the story. Highly recommended trekking excursions. Combo 10 points
Leaving San Martin de los Andes early, you can stop at different places to finish with the hike to Chachin Waterfall. As soon as you leave the city, you take Route 48; you pass a viewpoint, from where you have a magnificent view of Lake Lacar and part of the city. Continuing along this ripio route (circular with caution) you reach the foot of the Colorado Hill, 1730 m high. It takes about 4 to 5 hours between ascent and descent but it is worth climbing for even an hour to appreciate a panoramic view of Lake Lacar that is impressive. Continuing along the same route you reach Yuco, which is a small peninsula with forest and small beaches. Turquoise Beach is of incredible beauty! well green waters. Locals attend more than tourists. It's unmissable! You can spend all day, carry food, there is (or I did not see) where to buy. On the opposite side of the road there is a path to the Las Corinas Lagoon, did not give the time as there are 3 hours between round trip through the forest but then I was told that it is worth doing. Finally you reach the waterfall, a kilometer before you reach Hua Hum, which is the border crossing to Chile. The walk to the waterfall is very good, in the middle of the forest and the view at the end of the road is beautiful!
We hire this tour that departs from the port and reaches Hua Hum. The landscapes are beautiful and the navigation was first class. At one of the stops you had to walk to Chachin Waterfall. The guide gave us little time and the walk was not easy as it was uphill. Some people stayed along the way and did not reach the beautiful waterfall. I think you could enjoy this excursion better (which is not cheap), if you leave earlier. We left at 12.30 and supposedly arrived at 20, but we arrived at 19.30. I mean, they made us rush for nothing.
Whole day program, great fun. The service on board was unbeatable, excellent guide and sailors. Highly recommended
