We stayed at Las Balsas for 4 nights on our honeymoon. Overall we enjoyed the property which has an excellent location in relation to Villa la Angostura. In our opinion Villa la Angostura is much cooler than Bariloche so we thoroughly enjoyed the town - we went multiple times. We were a bit disappointed by the service of the hotel — not the friendliest or most helpful front desk. We told them it was our honeymoon and they just shrugged and looked at us as if we said something confusing (where other hotels made sure we felt super welcome). We organized a kayaking tour which wasn’t planned properly and resulted in about an hour delay and the kayaking wasn’t great and not really as advertised. We ate at the restaurant one night which was good but very pricey relative to what you can get in town for the same quality. The best part about the hotel is the Spa and Sofi the spa manager was amazing. If for nothing else we’d return for the spa and pool area. The massage with Sofi was amazing. The rooms were small and you could hear through all the walls so luckily it was a quiet time we were there. Overall has great potential but didn’t meet our expectation.

Lovely place, the staff all very helpful. Sophia in the spa gives an excellent massage. Thank you
Had an amazing time at this wonderful hotel. Its hidden location is perfect for escaping the city and all the urban buzz. The hotel is nestled by a lake, right in front of the National Park, with stunning mountain views. The exterior has a historic charm, while the interior is chic and classic, a cozy chalet style. It seems like the hotel was recently renovated, as everything looks much newer compared to the older photos. The spa was beautiful, with a warm outdoor pool and a cozy fireplace inside - an exceptional experience. We also took a short forest hike on the hotel grounds and went on a horse riding excursion around the lake. The service was warm and welcoming. If you’re looking to escape the city and enjoy some nature without giving up comfort, this is the place for you.
My husband and I had an exceptional time here celebrating our honeymoon! Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the scent that carries you from the lounges into your room to the beautiful spa, the stunning rooms with lake views, and even a pillow menu—everything you could ever want. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make our stay extra special for the occasion. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone and can’t wait to return!
The staff were friendly, the place is lovely. The issue was the service and food. On more than one occasion I waited for over 15 minutes for water and coffee. The dinner portions for the fish and rice dish were tiny- perhaps 2 ounces. My vegetarian rice dish was soo small, I finished it in 5 bites. The fresh warm bread I had for one dinner was then toasted for the next dinner. I asked for fresh rolls and they said they did not have any. I heard others complaining about the long service delays. Another complained about the prices of the wines. I too found the wine prices very steep. I can only assume they were down staff in the kitchen and perhaps even the servers. However my first night there my husband and I were the only ones in the restaurant and we waited over 15 minutes for water. I hope they correct these issues soon as the location is beautiful and the staff are very kind
