Hotel Passauer Wolf

Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet our expectations at all. When we made our booking, it clearly stated that free parking was available in front of the hotel. In reality, no parking space was provided to us. We got the impression that the parking spaces were only given to certain guests, while we were forced to park more than 400–500 metres away at our own risk. If your car gets damaged or broken into, the hotel takes no responsibility. This is something that should be clearly explained before guests make a reservation. Another major issue was the cleanliness. There were numerous spiders and spider webs in our room. It was obvious that they had been there for quite some time and that the room had not been cleaned properly. We also found hair in the bathroom, which is simply unacceptable for a hotel charging premium prices. The housekeeping staff should also be supervised more carefully by the management. After our room was cleaned, it was left with a very strong smell of body odour, making it unpleasant to stay inside. I believe the hotel’s hygiene standards should apply not only to the rooms but also to the staff providing the service. Another disappointing aspect was the communication. We felt that if you do not speak German, you are not treated with the same level of attention or service. I am sorry to have to write this review, but after many years of travelling and staying in different hotels, this is the first one that has disappointed us in almost every aspect. If it had been a budget hotel, some of these issues might have been understandable. However, this is an expensive hotel, and for the price we paid, we expected quality service, not the experience we had. The only positive thing we can say is that the hotel is located in a beautiful area. Unfortunately, the quality of the service does not match the location. I honestly do not understand how this hotel has received so many positive reviews, because our experience was completely different. We certainly will not be returning and cannot recommend this hotel.

Great location with roof terrace overlooking the Danube, free welcome drink. Room was large and very comfortable. One of the best breakfast buffets I have seen for a long time ,smoked salmon, fried and scrambled fresh eggs ,2 types of sausages, bacon ,cold meats ,cheese ,fresh fruits. Only minus point was wlan was very slow Would highly recommend

From the guest location is great, right on the Danube, but the area is flooded frequently, so is not the best.

Nice hotel. Felt like a family boutique type. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and the bed very comfy. Looked out over the river where the tour boats pull in. Great location for exploring the old town. Short walk from the station. Well organised for EuroBike tours. Entrances from the shopping street straight to reception or the riverside and up in the lift.
