Really great visit to the parmigiana farm. The guide was excellent, and truelly knew about the craft of making the cheese. We were lucky to gave a small group, and your get up close to the different steps in the process. The cheese 'vault' as I like to call it, was very impressive, it's scale.
Very interesting tour and more fun than we were expected. Good drivers and smaller group size than some of the other options.
Lots of fun and very informative. Get to see the making of parmigiano regianno from milk to aged cheese unless then 2 hours!
This tour exceeded all of our expectations! From start to finish- tour was phenomenal! The factory was pristine- so cool to see the cheese master at work! And then to taste the parm! Highly recommend!
We love this tour. Very interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable. Easy ride from Parma to the farm.
Great tour with one on one tour guide. Guide was wonderful! The only thing that fell short was that we only tasted one inner core ring but would have been nice to try different aged cheeses to get to 5 star.
Instructions for pick up very clear. On time. Safe drive to the factory in the near countryside. Explainations were given both in italian and english. Very interresting to learn the production process from cow stalls to the worldwide known cheese wheel. And obviously the cheese tasting was much appreciated!! Had a very good experience and would recommend it !
Loved seeing the whole process from the cows to the cheese tasting all within steps of each other. We learned a lot and appreciate the craftsmanship involved. Prosciutto tasting nearby was unexpected bonus.
This was great fun and we learned a great deal. Very interesting to watch the professionals actually make the cheese. Also met some lovely cows!! Tasted a nice variety of cheese of various ages. Highly recommend this tour.
Very informative and fun tour. We even had a chance to go into the barn and see the cows! Plus a very generous sample of cheese along with wine.
Lovely visit that explains and shows the process from beginning to end. Great to be able to leave from the centre and not have to bother finding our way to and from. Danielle was a great guide.
The tour guide was awesome. Very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a small group, which made it more comfortable. I highly recommend this tour.
This was truly a great tour informative and fun. The tour guide made the experience like being taken to a family operation. He was funny , and gave us lots of detail
We had a fantastic experience learning about the history and process of how parmigiano reggiano is made! We visited a small farm outside of Parma, where we got to see everything, from the cows, to the cooking of the cheese, tasting completely unaged parmigiano reggiano, how the wheels are shaped, brined, and aged! Everything was amazing! At the end we enjoyed a young and an older parmigiano reggiano, paired with balsamic vinegar from Modena, crakers from Calabria, and a local wine. 10/10 would recommend! Our only regret is not doing the prosciutto tour combo.
This tour was amazing, our tour guide Sergio was the best person ever and if I’m ever going to do a tour here again I want to make sure I have him as a tour guide. The overall facility was a small producer and was amazing to see the whole process
We missed the train from Bologna and we were not able to meet at the meeting point at 8.30. I messaged the customer support and the tour guide. They quickly replied and suggested me to go to the cheese factory to catch up the tour. We took a taxi to the factory, not very far, around Eur20. Luckily we didn’t miss too much. This tour is amazing, leant a lot about the cheese making process and of course tried some amazing cheese, 22m and 30m with wine. The tour guide took care of us well. In addition, the tour mates are very nice, talkative and very fun.
We loved visiting the small family farm and seeing the cows being fed, the cheese master at work and then tasting in the aging room. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned a lot about this unique product.
A small and local producer, small groups, intimate experience, great guides and wonderful cheese. Highly recommend Parma Look.
The experience was fun and started with meeting the 🐄 cows. We found it informative and enjoyed the morning tour. We loved the cheese 🧀 and bought some to eat and some to share!!
Seeing the cheesecake being moved out of the milk and being divided into too cakes - amazing experience- to see the process!
Seeing the process start to finish was amazing! Our tour guide and the cheese-making master were so informative and entertaining. Truly it was a highlight of our Italy trip!
What a fascinating process it is to make Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. We saw every step… starting with watching g the very contented cows eating their special hay - occasionally interrupted when they felt the need for a back scratch with an automatic scratcher - hysterical. The farm is 100% organic and every by-product from this process is used. So efficient! Our guide was funny, very knowledgeable and the tastings were so yummy. Don’t miss this!
Great guide beautiful small operation where you get truly close up and learn everything about Parmesan Reggiano. Easy train ride from Bologna. Price of their best cheeses are very reasonable.
Great experience to learn how one of the best cheeses in the world is made, like fine wines you can taste a young to aged cheeses and appreciate how a young cheese is on your pallet to a robust aged cheese, lived it! I would suggest two types of wine with this tasting though as there was one...... be prepared with good shied this is not a sandal type tour.. cheers!
This was a fantastic tour, really a great look at a small operation that still takes great pride in their products. Our guide was really informative and we got to see first hand from the beginning to the finished product.
It was a wonderful experience👍 It was generally like the following time schedule with transportation included. Gather at 8:30 Arrival at the viewing location at 9:00 10:00 Tour ends ~ Taste comparison Departure from the viewing site at 10:30 Dismissal at 11:00 At the factory we are visiting, we will wear gowns and caps for the tour. I was able to see everything carefully, from the origin of the cheese name to the process, and even the moment the cheese was wrapped in gauze. In the aging cellar, I was able to experience cheese through sight, hearing, and smell, even hearing the cracking sounds. Because a Japanese person took the time to rephrase words I didn't understand, I was able to understand very well. It was a really good tour. Tasting is for 12 months, 24 months, and 36 months respectively. With Fortuna. I could buy the cheese and Fortana at the direct sales store next to the factory. I highly recommend it! By learning about the production process and production locations, food becomes even richer. If you come to Parma, I highly recommend it.
