met some nice people, but it was a little boring. too many people asking some silly questions. Host and driver were lovely. never saw how the balsamic was made...only a tasting. didn't go out into the vineyards. overall, it was a nice day, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful tour! Mattia, our guide, was so knowledgeable about all the local products and could answer all our questions. The small group was a perfect size, and the transport was great - not too much time in the car for 3 different stops! Would highly recommend if you are visiting Parma.
Our guide Mateo was attentive to the needs of all on the tour, while presenting a wonderful selection of facts and explanations for every step ofthe process of all the different products. I found his clarity, humour, and enthusiasm enjoyable and his grasp of several languages, impressive. I couldn’t believe how close we were to the cheesemaking process, seeing every aspect of it in wonderful detail. All our questions were answered well and professionally. All the tastings were interesting and educational,as well as being yummy.
I learned so much about the making of this wonderful cheese. The prosciutto di Parma was delicious. I also learned alot about the making of balsamic vinegar. Our guide, Matteo, was excellent. He grew up in the area and had worked with the cheese. His father was a cheese master so he knew all the steps necessary. I highly recommend.
Interesting and a great experience about Parma region. A very good and motivated guide. Very good company.
Great tour to visit parmigiano cheese, Parma ham and Balsamic production sites. The tour gave a great insight into the processes and was brilliantly described by our guide Mattia. The tastings were generous as was the time given to each visit. The only downside is my standards for excellence has gone up several notches!
This tour was the highlight of Parma for us. Fabiola was a fantastic host, very knowledgable. It’s great to see how everything is made, especially the cheese - fascinating. I highly recommend this tour, don’t hesitate in booking it, it’s great value for money.
Amazing experience! I was able to bring a 13 yo and he left full! Very cool being able to see local farmers and how they produce cheese, ham and vinegar! Also, being able to taste vinegar was amazing!!! Definitely brought home bottles for the states with no problem! Everything was wonderfully packaged and survived a trip home in a checked bag
Mattia was a great tour guide. He is knowledgeable and passionate about the food. Truly made our experience. We would highly recommend this tour!
Mattia the tour guide did an amazing job, was full of information on the history of some of the most amazing food I’ve ever tasted. I highly recommend taking the time to go on this tour because you will have a new appreciation for the dedication of the quality they produce.
What an amazing experience! Each specialty (parmigiana reggiano, Parma ham and Modena balsamic) was delicious and the owners gracious and informative. Our tour guides were awesome and set us up for a thoroughly enjoyable day. Thank you!
Great experience for foodies!
It was very informative. We had a very good guide and got to see how the Parmigiano Reggiano and Palma ham were produced. We would’ve liked to have seen how the balsamic vinegar was produced, but I presume it’s not the season. Even so it would be nice to see the equipment rather than just the storage barrels. Despite this it was very good with generous samples and a great guide, Matia.
The guides were very knowledgeable and pleasant and the stops were well chosen and quaint. Our only complaint would be our driver who must have been late getting home, could not understand a word of english and had a little attitude. Other than that we had a great time and would highly recommend.
What a great experience - guide and driver were superb. Fully recommend
This tour is truly one of those rare occasions in life when you get more than you paid for. Over the course of 7 hours we visited three different private producers to taste parmigiano cheese, Parma ham, and traditional Modena balsamic vinegar. Our driver/guide, Paolo, was a font of knowledge and a friendly face who drove us around for more than an hour in total. Each stop was excellent, with an in-depth explanation of the production process followed by a generous tasting and the opportunity to purchase products directly from the producing family. The details were well-organized, such as the use of radio headsets and the itinerary that went from the longest process (cheese) to the shortest (vinegar).
Fantastic tour, very informative.Mateo was excellent. Pick up and drop off on time. All three tours were great.
In-depth experience related to parmegianno cheese and prosciutto. We had a very friendly, knowledgeable guide.
Sergio was a fantastic tour guide! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the factories and how the products are made. The only thing that would have made the day even better was if Sergio was also the tour guide of the balsamic factory (he's the tour guide for parmesan and prosciutto factories) because of how excellent he was. We learned so much. It was a seamless day from start to finish with excellent tastings and tours. I highly recommend this trip.
We loved every minute of the tour - knowledgeable, tastings and experience. An experience of Parma and Modena - fantastic. Bravo!!
Mattia was amazing! From his knowledge to the way he included my kids, his passion for the area and for these artists truly shines through.
I really enjoyed this as a solo trip during the day. My guide Mattia was excellent and made sure to answer all my questions and provide the best experience possible.
This was a fantastic experience. Our guide was excellent and was very thorough in guiding us through the intricacies of the Parmagiano cheese making process and also Prosciutto di Parma. You really begin to appreciate the skill and care that goes into these wonderful products. The Balsamic vinegar part of the tour provided tastings of the different types and ages. The nuances in the flavors were enhanced by a thorough explanation of each. Very worthwhile. I would recommend this tour to anyone that loves Italian food.
We had a great time learning more about Parmigiano Cheese, Parma Ham and Balsamic vinegar! Our guide and driver, Sergio was very knowledgeable and shared with us loads of interesting information.
Amazing experience. Have a wonderful time. Tour guides were very good , it was wonderful to have met the owners of the various businesses
We booked this tour and we really looking forward to it during our stay at Bologna . The tour operator cancelled at the last moment so we didn’t get to go. Very disappointed and although the cost of the tour was refunded our $56 AUD currency costs left us out of pocket
Incredible experience - getting to see different local families produce and create the most beautiful cheese, ham and balsamic. Such an art and passion. So worth it!
This was a great excursion that began with a visit to the parmigiano factory, where we witnessed all aspects of the production this wonderful cheese, including a generous sampling. We also went on to the facility where they cure and age Parma ham, accompanied by a generous tasting with wine, and finally to the Modena balsamic vinegar tasting, Our guide Mattia was very knowledgeable and friendly. Being in this region of Italy begs this experience and this tour did not disappoint.
The parmigiana and Parma tours were excellent! However, the balsamic tour/tasting was disappointing. The woman spoke far too fast to understand much. It was more of a tasting to encourage purchasing.
This is a fabulous experience from beginning to end. We learned so much and ate & drank great food & wine! Roberto was a wealth of knowledge and quite humorous.😁 We had never been to Modena, so we did that extension and it did not disappoint! This is definitely a worthwhile and tasty tour!
Way Overpriced. 6-7 hour tour with no lunch provided. Limited restroom breaks. Parmesan Reggiano facility excellent. Tour guide excellent. Prosciutto facility was interesting. Modena balsamic tour was terrible. The guide was terrible. She rushed the tour and spoke with a heavy Italian broken English that was not easy to understand. I recommend not booking this tour
Great tour featuring all the delicacies of the Emilia Romagna Region. Nice tasting with Lambrusco wine. Interesting see how all the products are made. Would recommend!
Great experiences, great hosts, very glad we went - more upfront discussion on agenda and times would be welcomed to plan rest of day! Poor room for seating on coaches only flaw. Longer drives between stops was hot and cramped.
This was a fantastic detailed tour, and we learned so much about the history and process of Parmigiano Reggiano, Parma ham, and balsamic vinegar. Our guide Lorenzo was knowledgeable and fun. Pick up in Parma was smooth, the van was comfortable, and the drive in between locations was beautiful. There were small tastings at each stop: cheese & dried bread with sparkling wine, freshly cut Parma ham with bread and red wine, and spoons of different balsamic vinegars. I’d suggest packing water and a snack if doing the full day tour - we were quite hungry by the time we made it back to the drop off point.
The was a very enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend it. Our tour guide Matteo was the best. We learned a lot and had plenty of time at each of the locations. The tastings at each place were very nice.
Our combined travel family was so graciously accomodated and we learned so much while having great fun.
Matthias was fabulous - so knowledgeable and friendly and with great sense of humor! The bus was well air conditioned and comfortable.
Tour guide was great. He had personal vocational experience with cheese making. The balsalmic employee was difficult to understand
Our driver and guide Matteo was wonderful. We were somewhat disappointed that are group of 8 in the van tuned into a group of 20 touring the parmigiana and prosciutto factory. It was still a wonderful experience though and made me truly appreciate the differences between authentic DOP!!!
Very nice tour and great guide. A fair amount of standing and walking. Worth the price. Would do it again.
Exceptional tour. Lorenzo was knowledgeable, friendly, and has great relationships with the producers that enhanced our day. Highly recommend.
Wonderful experience! Our animated guide shared inside stories and chatted with us during the drive. We watched the cheese making process from start to finish which was enhanced with the tasting of cheese and local wines. We saw prosciutto being cured through the stages and ended the tour with breads, prosciutto and wine or water. That was yummy enough, but then we headed to the balsamic vinegar ware house. Never knew there were so many choices! We even tasted a 25 year old vintage. Our taste buds were educated during the total experience and we made friends sharing food. A great day!
Tour was very in-depth and informative. Loris our tour guide was well experienced, friendly, fun and answered questions professionally. This was a fantastic day out and a must when in Parma. Keep up the good work guys.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Not only was the food amazingly delicious, our tour guide Loris was very knowledgeable, entertaining, and charming. I highly recommend you take this tour!
It was the best way to get to know what Parma and Modena are famous for!! The selection of the products we consumed were EXCELLENT!
A wonderful and educational experience learning about the authentic Emilia-Regiano products. Everyone was informative and friendly.
It was amazing to experience the production process of Parmigiano Reggiano, proscuitto, and balsamic. Our guide, Mattia, was very knowledgeable and fun!
The tour was longer than we anticipated, but it was certainly worth it. The visit to the Reggiano Parmigiano, Prosciutto de Parma, and balsamic vinegar producers was exceptional and should never be missed.
Don't miss doing this tour! Mateo was so fun. Every place we went the families who owned the factories programs were so gracious. Tour was with about 8 ppl. Which made it very nice. Everything was top notch The places we went were either the oldest owned or small family operations which made it even better. Highly recommend!!!
The tour was great! We saw the parmagiano, prosciutto and balsamic being produced, met the owners of the factories as well as tastings of course. Our guide was very knowledgeable also.
