Wine Tasting In Paris

Lovely venue in the 6th arrondissement. Such an educational experience but done in such and easy going manner. Thierry has a great style about him and we learned a lot in a fun environment. Heartily recommend for an early evening activity.

This is my third time taking a tasting here with this Sommelier but this time I brought two friends who had not been to Paris. It was a full house but a small group and as always the presentation is both fun and educational and interactive. I love this place and I’m pretty sure I’ll be back there again for my fourth time when I’m in Paris again and I will recommend this place and bring people here.

Brilliant experience tasting wines from some of France's main regions. Thierry was friendly, funny and knowledgable. We learned lots about the different varietals and how to properly taste. Some great wine selected to try throughout the session as well (the Bourgogne definitely beat the Bordeaux :)). Great little wine shop as well in a lovely location. Would absolutely recommend!!

Awesome room to taste some nice red wine and white wine. The instructor was very informative for the winetasting class and the wines were delicious.

It was an engaging demonstration of many wines and wine regions. Thierry is clearly knowledgeable as well as funny and articulate. I've attended several wine tasting events in Paris and this was one of the best. Rue des Boulangers felt more like a very wide alley than a street, so be prepared for that. The event is an easy walk from Jussieu Metro stop as Rue des Boulangers is right across the street from the Metro.

Excellent experience. We did 6 tastings 3 red 2 white and one champagne each one better than the next. Sommelier was exceptional with an incredible amount if knowledge would highly recommend also great value for the price point.

Was one of our favorite things on our trip. Thierry was amazing - super knowledgeable and fun. The wines (and the champagne) were all really great. I'm hoping to find some in the US. We got cheese platters and a charcuterie board as well. The cheeses were unbelievable, and he told us which ones were best with each wine as we went through the tasting. We are totally obsessed now with the butter and have running arouneed trying to find equivalent cheese at home. He even recommended local restaurants for dinner. The store is so cute too. I've done a lot of wine tastings and this ranks among the topsl Definitely a 5/5

We had booked this tasting after a different tasting fell through and let me start off with I am glad it did. Me and my girlfriend ended up with a solo tasting and it was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable. All of our questions were answered and it was genuinely the best experience of our entire trip. He also had other recommendations on other experiences we could try. Overall just an amazing class, experience, and person! BOOK THIS EXPERIENCE!!!!

We had a fantastic evening with Thierry, he was a great host and really helps you appreciate the wines you're drinking without being overbearing with information. The setting is really relaxed and the whole group had a really good time. And most importantly, the wines were delicious. 100% recommended!

We were a small group of just three, which made the class feel very personal and engaging. The sommelier, Thierry, was extremely knowledgeable about French wines and the regions they come from. He explained everything clearly and simply—very friendly and approachable without being pretentious. We started with Champagne, then moved on to a white from the Loire Valley and another from Burgundy, followed by three reds from Bourgogne, Bordeaux, and Languedoc-Roussillon. Each wine was unique and came from smaller, less mainstream wineries, which made the tasting even more interesting. We learned how to identify different flavours and compare the characteristics of various wines and regions. This was the best wine class we’ve ever attended, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone interested in French wine!

This was a very good experience. Host is knowledgeable and a good teacher. Nice balance of learning about the French wine business, how to taste wine, and enjoying a variety of wines.

The sommelier was extremely knowledgeable about wine and the regions they came from. His presentation on where the grapes were grown, how it was made and why they tasted the way they did was excellent!! He was very friendly and enjoyed interacting with the patrons. He clearly has a passion for his expertise! We would highly recommend the experience!!!!

He is a master and explains so you can understand wine and the whole process. Great pours and lots of fun. A lot of information but so much to learn from Such a great instructor.

The host is a sommelier and can speak to beginners in wine and the most experienced. He was friendly, educational, very knowledgable. I think everyone could have fun and learn something from the host—beginners and advanced. The experience comes with six full pours, so eat before you arrive.

It was an outstanding experience. I will go as far as to say you need to do this when in Paris. Theirry is a master of wine and cheese. He used his 30 years of experience to craft a perfect experience regardless of if you are an ameteur in wine and cheese tasting or an expert. If you want to hit a home run with your wife or family. You can guarantee it with this experience place.

Fabulous wine tasting experience. The owner, Thierry, is extremely knowledgeable well-prepared and has a nice style. He teaches wine courses to professionals and is able to explain to all levels the nuances of the various wine regions and wines. What was particularly impressive were the wines he selected to taste, offering us some that would be tough to find on your own. He also sells wine so you have the opportunity to purchase anything you really enjoyed. We left with two lovely bottles of Burgundy that are so hard to get that he has to beg the vineyard to sell him a few cases every year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Next time, I'd do the wine and cheese pairing.

My 2nd time taking one of Thierry’s tastings. Previously last year I took wine and cheese; this time I took the wine and champagne tasting with different set of wines. It’s a fun learning experience you will enjoy. The shop is on a quaint Parisian street. Inside is like a French village shop. This should be the only wine tasting you should do in Paris. That’s why I did it twice!! Next time in Paris I’m going to take his walking tour!

Loved this wine tasting, the choices you try are so nice! Thierry is very informative and the group of people we met were absolutely lovely! Would have loved to buy a bottle to drink in the shop but that’s not a possibility. Definitely recommend this experience.

One of our favorite experiences in Paris! The class was a mix of learning actually how to taste wine, background on French wine regions, and yummy tastings. It’s an intimate group so you get the chance to have a lot of nice conversations! Overall would definitely do this again - and it made our trip so special.

Very informative but not over the top. Had many slides to accompany the presentation. The wines were all amazing and from smaller vineyards which we loved. We left feeling much more comfortable on how to select French wines that match our palate. Location is easy to find and right by the old Roman stadium.

The tasting was amazing! We have done many tastings over the years, but this one was so informative. We learned many new things! His presentation and explanation were outstanding! I highly recommend it.

My husband, daughter and I recently visited Wine Tasting in Paris for a wine and cheese pairing. Everything about the experience was wonderful. The welcoming and cozy atmosphere, the charm and knowledge of M. Givone, and of course the delicious wine and cheese. We left with a greater understanding and appreciation of French wines and cheese. Will highly recommend to anyone visiting Paris. My husband thought it was the perfect way to celebrate his birthday!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Thierry! The bread is complimentary, the cheese board is not and we’d recommend purchasing the cheese board. Thierry did a great job showing us which cheeses to pair with each wine. It really enhances the experience. If you’re in Paris and looking for a fun, interactive experience I would encourage you to book this experience. It’s great for wine and non-wine drinkers alike.

Being from California we wanted to learn more about the wine regions of France and how bottles were labeled by region rather than varieties. Both were very well explained and documented. We now have a much better understanding of how to identify French Wines.

This was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting France, and for anyone interested in increasing their understanding of wine and wine production.

Thiery talked us through the basics of wine tasting and the wines regions of France, and then we got stuck into the delicious tasting experience. He explained everything really clearly and answered all our questions. Thiery is super expert so if you're already knowledgeable and passionate about wine, he has lots of expertise to share and for those of us who are more novice, it's a great opportunity to get an introduction and build some knowledge. I really enjoyed trying some posher wines than I would usually come across and build a bit of confidence about describing what I'm tasting and understanding what I like. I took my 19 year old son; we both learnt lots. Others in the group were generally beginner level, like us, while a few were more experienced. The group size is small enough for everyone to be able to ask questions but big enough to create a fun atmosphere. Highly recommended!

So Good! The best part of our trip to Paris. I CAN’T say enough about how knowledgeable and charming Thierry is. He is so patient with everyone’s questions and was very thorough in teaching us as much as he could. He also made it fun. The wine was all so good as well. I wish I could have also done the wine and cheese tasting. I will do that next time I’m in Paris. This tasting is a must visit while you’re in Paris. 10/10

An absolutely outstanding experience. Thierry did a great job in detailing the various wine regions and fundamentals of wine tasting. What made this different was that it was very well structured with PowerPoint slides for those wishing to take notes or photos. He also provided brochures and a page listing all the wines. The six wines we tasted were great. Highly recommended.

It was great experience. We were in a small group of 7 people, some people had some wine knowledge some complete novice in the wine world but he made it interesting for everyone. Therry is a very knowledgeable wine expert and has a great visual material to go along the wine tasting. He is also attentive to his guests. Good wines, very professional service and warm atmosphere. Definitely worth doing it.

We had a very interesting class on french wines, from all over France. Thierry is a true expert, not only in french wines, but is also knowledgeable on wines from all over the world. I suggest tourist to get the wine&chenese combo for a better experience. The wine selection chose for this event was excellent: champagne, white wines and reds.

Still talk about this wine tasting class almost 2 years later. It was such a memorable experience and we had so much fun. We learned about all the different notes that go into wines and how to identify them in different parts of your mouth. Truly amazing experience that I have recommended to all my friends and family and hope to one day do again
