We had a fantastic tour with Nils he highlighted the key examples of fine art that we were to see and explained techniques, stories about them. Nils was entertaining and looked after the group intently. Our two boys were engrossed in the animation of the exhibits. The running quiz of questions to the group also kept us engaged. We moved through the museum at a good pace and had ample time at the Mona Lisa to take a family picture.

Really good experience for value! Tour guide was very informative and engaging with group (Nels). No complaints with this tour showed us all the highlights and information. Would recommend to others to do! Good time of year to come museum was very empty.
Amazing tour with Nils. He was super knowledgeable and did a great job explaining everything important. Highly recommend! Great price.
Sid was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. The small group of only 6 people was also a plus.
The paintings were extraordinary, Mona Lisa was just a small portion of the fun. Elena was our guide and appreciated that she walked us first to all the exits to get our bearings (the museum is huge), the lockers and the bathrooms. Strongly suggest you take a guided tour first (less queueing and the entry is on the arch side) then wander around your own time. We took the 345pm one which was less crowded (was super easy to get to Mona Lisa!) But downside we didnt have time to go around again. Note there is an underground mall with food and shopping past the security (but without needing tickets yet) and you can hang out there instead of the plaza with the pyramid.
It was wonderful. The guide was very knowledgeable and great
Liz was our tour guide - her knowledge of the Louvre is outstanding. She even told us the best places to stand to really appreciate the best angles of the sculptures. Despite there being another tour running simultaneously with ours, she was conscientious of that group and ours and her timings between items was impeccable- we seamlessly slotted around each other ensuring that as a group we got front row views each time. Her information started from the minute we walked thru the door, she spoke with huge knowledge and passion. The audio was great, it was via an earpiece that was supplied by Liz to each person and the quality and comfort of wearing it was great- there wasn't a time that I couldn't hear with clarity what was being said. I would 100% recommend this trip, it was fantastic value for money and gave us far more info than a self guided tour would have offered.
10/10 Highly recommended Leo, very knowledgeable about his history of the museum. Would definitely do again!
Great experience with our tour guide Elena. Louvre is huge and this was just the highlights, but worthwhile to understand some history and significance of the paintings! good way to get started without being overwhelmed. We plan to do couple more Louvre trips.
This Louve tour was very well organized. We got exactly what was stated in the description. Sylvia, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and provided very interesting information on many different pieces of art as well as information about the Louve itself. I highly recommend her! She was nice, pleasant, informative, helpful, organized, and did a great job at being efficient by getting us from one spot to the next. It's definitely worth it to do this tour, especially given how big the Louve is.
Elena was our guide. She was on time and did a great job. We hit the highlights of the Louvre and it was so worth it. You are allowed a special direct entrance into the museum.
Very well organized tour. I love that our guide Elena took care of all logistics first (exits, meeting pts, bathroom etc). The discussion was just right in length, very clear on the earphones and Elena was very knowledgeable and kept the group together well. I would recommend again. The right highlights were covered. P.s. we took the 345 pm tour and the crowds were less, it was quite pleasant. Tips: The meeting place is very neat the group entry gate and not the gate for individuals. The inside of the louvre is practically a mall with food and shops. You can wander about without a ticket inside first.
Nils was our guide and was very interesting and educational. We learned some new things and got to see the highlights in the time allotted!
Great tour to see the highlights and learn about the art. Our guide Nils was very knowledgeable 👍😀
Got caught in traffic and missed our meeting place for tour. Tried to buy tickets but museum was sold out.
Our tour guide was exceptional! Perfect tour to get you in and out and see a few of the major pieces.
Wonderful tour and the Tour guide was very knowledgable. We went later in the day so it was less crowded. Would suggest this option because it was still quite crowded
We had an excellent tour of the Louvre! Our guide was knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate, bringing the museum’s incredible artworks and history to life. The tour was well organized, fascinating, and truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Paris!
We had such a great time at the Louvre! The tour was really interesting, and the guide was super knowledgeable. I'd highly recommend it! 😊
Florian was a perfect tour leader. He showed concern for the seniors in our group and paced his tour accordingly. He was knowledgeable and passionate about the various art pieces he highlighted.
Elena was an amazing guide! She was very knowledgeable and gave us wonderful behind the scenes knowledge that we would have not learned on our own. Having the headsets enabled us to roam away for a closer look and still hear her commentary.
Nils was a wonderfully patient, calm and informative tour guide. My tour was on a very busy Saturday and nils explained exactly how we would get in as there was a change to the usual entrance that day. He kept watch over group to make sure we were all safe and able to do the extra walking. In the museum Nils gave thorough explanations of the highlights. He taught us about art and the history of the museum. It was a fantastic tour run by an extremely professional tour guide.
We got a great tour from Nils and he explained a lot in details witch made you really understand the detail of the art.
Brilliant tour. Best guide. Goes nice and slow. Keeps group in check. Extremely knowledgeable. Knows where all the good photo opportunities are. 100% highly recommend. Would do again in the near future. Steve Australia
Great tour of some highlights sy the museum. Elena did an amazing job guiding the group.
Our Guide Elena was excellent and so well informed Thanks
Liz was a wonderful tour guide! She was very knowledgeable and friendly, and she shared so much fascinating information about the art in the Louvre—not just the usual facts, but interesting stories and details that made the experience truly enjoyable. We really loved the tour and her explanations. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Liz as your guide!
Great tour! Guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining why the masterpieces are considered masterpieces. Very very pleased!
Great experience with a lot of historical information which we enjoyed and expanded our learning…..,,
The Louvre is an incredible place. We had a tour on an extremely busy day (because of a strike). Our tour guide knew the tricks to get us into the museum quickly. Nels was an awesome tour guide. He knew art and how to explain it in a way that kept us engaged and looking at the pieces carefully. A tour is a must at the Louvre.
Our guide, Sylvia, was amazing! She was very informative and knowledgeable. We saw the highlights of the Louvre on our tour.
Sid was a great guide with a great sense of humour. He gave us a very interesting and animated tour. He was great at summarising the history of the works we saw.
Liz from Crown Tours was fantastic. she’s very informed and helped in making me appreciate the views.
It was a great experience. Nils was a great guide and was very engaging. The tour felt quick but thorough.
Paola is the BEST guide you can have for the tour. She was so personable and full of knowledge. She brought us to the well known and most visited areas in the museum but also shared her own personal favorites. An art and history lesson well worth doing!
Our tour guide was excellent. He was informative and entertaining. However, they let too many people in the museum at once.
Writing We paid a premium for a private tour of the Louvre, expecting an informative, engaging, and somewhat personalized experience. Unfortunately, it felt more like we had paid to be an audience for our guide’s stand-up comedy routine. Our guide told us he was a comedian, and he seemed determined to work that into the tour, including repeated Trump impersonations and jokes that often distracted from the actual history and art we were there to learn about. The information he did share was difficult to follow because of the constant attempts at humor. Even more frustrating was the uncomfortable feeling that we were expected to laugh along, with deliberate pauses for punchlines. It became exhausting trying to politely manage those moments rather than simply enjoy the experience. We also asked to see a few specific pieces, but our requests were dismissed because they weren't part of the planned route. I completely understand that it's impossible to see everything in the Louvre, but part of the appeal of booking a private tour is the expectation of some flexibility and a more curated experience. Instead, we felt like we received a standard group tour with no meaningful personalization. We came to the Louvre excited to learn, ask questions, and experience one of the world's greatest museums with someone knowledgeable. Instead, we spent much of our time navigating our guide's attempts to entertain us. For the price we paid, this was incredibly disappointing. A private tour should feel like the guide is there for the guests, not like the guests are there for the guide.
The tour was fine, Maeva was great, funny and knowledgeable. Didn’t wait in any lines. Meeting spot easy. Lots of walking and stairs , it gets hot and stuffy in there. Come hydrated and not hungry. Be prepared for a room full of rude people to push through to get to Mona Lisa. I missed the Napoleon apartment, wasn’t mentioned and didn’t know it was our first time there.
Meeting point was easy to find. We skipped every line. The tour guide Maeva was funny and knowledgeable, she knew art, perfect English. They bring you to Mona Lisa at the end of the tour. I was too hungry and thirsty to partake in exploring the rest. Only issue - we somehow missed napoleons apartments… wasn’t mentioned.
In depth discussion of the history of the construction of the wings of the Louvre as well as the artworks. The tour was very informative and helped us move thru a very crowded and massive museum
Nils was wonderful. Very informative, friendly and very funny. Learned a lot on his guided tour. Would definitely recommend
Nils was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable! We had such a great time
Incredible! Loved our tour guide Florian he was so knowledgeable, friendly and adaptable to what we wanted. This experience made our whole Parisian trip even more extraordinary.. thank you so much 🙌🏼🥳💖
Our guide Leo was fabulous. Got us around the crowded Louve and was knowledgeable and interesting. Would highly recommend
Our guide was frindly and competert We did the tour with our 16 year grandson. I can recomend the tour as a very good version of what we call LOUVRE LIGHT
This was a good introduction to the museum and the major points. The museum is so large it is impossible to see everything so if you are on a time crunch, this is a perfect tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. Only downsides were that her mike kept cutting off (not her fault) and she walked very quickly. It was hard to keep up especially since it was very crowded. At one point we did lose the group but eventually found them again. Her holding a flag would have helped. Lots of walking and stairs so not recommended for those with mobility problems.
Elena was great and quite knowledgeable.
Nice tour but extremely busy. It lacks organization by the Louvres, especially if you want to see the Monalisa. It’s a mad house in that room
Fantastic experience! Florian is very knowledgeable and seems to speak every language. We saw what we wanted to see and learned a lot. Highly recommend.
Liz was fantastic! Knowledgeable, great personality and energy. Highly recommend booking with Crown Tours. The live audio feature was very helpful as well.
