Versailles Small Group Guided Tour With Tranportation From Paris

We had a lovely time visiting the Versailles. The drive from Paris was quite nice to see more of the city. Versailles was over the top. We knew it would be unlike anything we have seen and it did not disappoint. The opulence was beyond our expectation. It was beautiful, as were the grounds. We saw the highlights of the Versailles and had time to enjoy the grounds. Versailles is worth seeing. We had an excellent guide

Tour guide was excellent. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and communicative. The tour was a small group allowing better communication with guide.

Oliver was outstanding. The palace was beyond impressive. His knowledge of the palace and it's history made the visit so much more. Highly recommend. Ask for Oliver! And the transportation from Paris was worth the expense. Id do it again tomorrow.

My husband and I had an incredible time on this tour, largely thanks to our fantastic guide, Nicholas. This was my husband’s first visit and my second, but both of us felt like we were listening to an engaging university lecture on French history. Even when a fire alarm delayed our entry into the building for about half an hour, Nicholas didn't miss a beat. He quickly modified our plan and got permission for us to view the gardens instead, ensuring we didn't waste time standing around at the entrance. He was incredibly funny and deeply knowledgeable about everything at Versailles—from the history and paintings to the pottery, sculptures, and furniture. Though it was a half-day tour, he was so engaging that we easily could have stayed for a full day! Additionally, the meeting place was easy to find, surrounded by great cafes, and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, making post-tour planning a breeze. Tip: It was quite cold at the start, so definitely bring a warm jacket!

Versailles is amazing and Isabel was a great Tour guide. She explained all the areas in Versailles, and answered our questions. During the drive there and back, she provided fascinating stories about Paris and French history. I highly recommend this you and Isabel.

The tour guide did a good job providing the history of the French Monarchy and the role Versaille played. We kept moving and covered a lot of ground. Would have liked a little more time in the gardens.

This was a decent tour but not outstanding. Our guide Sebastian was very knowledgeable but at times sometimes difficult to understand. His comments on the way there were helpful. I felt he could have shown us the gardens even if it was a quick outline of the place. It was a good tour, covered the basics but wasn’t the best we have done

Guide is professional. She knows the history well and share with us a lot of stories about Versailles. One of the best guided tour I had during my trip. Highly recommended.

Shockingly boring. Lots of walking!! The opulence and grandeur was just not that interesting. The tour guide spoke excellent English but was rather flat and boring. It was very hot. The air conditioned van ride was good. We were able to walk right in and skip the line. In addition, the palace smells like cat piss. The guide explained that bathing rarely happened back in the day and it still smells like funk. Yikes! I was too exhausted to spend much time in the gardens. But they are very beautiful with a long view.

I attempted to book only small group tours and this was a very wise choice. The guide and the driver made the day enjoyable. I think that this is a great way to see Versailles. All I had to do was get to the meeting location and they took care of everything else.

There are lots of tourists at this site, as in all tourist attractions, but it still is lovely. The flowers are beautiful. Our guide was informative and fun.

The tour was scheduled on the wrong day. I attempted to change the date to September the 18 . I was instructed that I would get a email but am still waiting

It was very hott and very busy but our guide Nikola was knowledgeable and quick so there was not a lot of lingering in crowded spaces which I liked. The grounds are enormous and an hour is not enough time to even begin to look around- especially in the heat. Id recommend doing a separate tour with golf cart for the grounds so you can really enjoy it.

Excellent tour. Only problem was with accessing the meeting point on the site. Every time we tried to access that information it would take us to book another tour.

This was our absolute favorite tour while we were in Paris. It was well-organized, the bus was comfortable, and everything ran smoothly. Versailles was more vast and beautiful than we could have imagined. But the best part of the tour was our guide, Ricardo. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided information and insight about Paris and Versailles. He wove all the facts about the kings, history and the palace together in a very interesting way. He was the best tour guide we had. Would highly recommend it!

Excellent tour of Versailles! Saw everything we wanted in the time provided. So happy we went. Ricardo was an excellent tour guide who provided much detail about the structure and the history of the kings. He was terrific! Well worth the money. Pick up was easy to find and I was very grateful to have the ride. I would never want to drive in Paris!!

It’s an amazing experience. It’s best to get the earliest ticket possible and check your time schedule. You want to have time to explore everything.

Our guide for our small group tour drove the second vehicle with another seven people in addition to the five in our van. Did not feel like a small group tour. We had some mixup getting into Versailles and there was an altercation between our guide and the entry staff. Our guide Wasted too much time in crowded rooms of the palace. At least three large groups passed ours. He was excited to mention Thomas Jefferson’s black wife and the children more than once. Half of the time, our guide was in a different room from at least six people in our group so we had difficulty hearing him, even with the whisper ear devices. The two other people that had been in our van taking the ride to Versailles left the tour while we were in the Palace. After the Palace, we were told we had 50 minutes to be back at the parking lot. I told our guide to leave if we were not there. We were looking forward to experiencing the musical fountains. I was not sure we could do the fountains, and return to the parking lot in time. So, I told our guide, twice, that if we didn’t return the parking by the time he gave us that they should return without us. We would get a cab for our return. I still received two texts about the rendezvous time. Overall, a little disappointing. It felt like our guide was determined to do this experience his way, and he had no interest in anyone else’s experience. The whole experience was hard to follow. Drama is not an activity I enjoy on vacation. I would not recommend this guide. The Palace is certainly the star. But the musical fountains are not to be missed. Our guide was a solid 2.0 on a 5.0 scale.

We were looking forward to this tour but the other couple that arrived the day before had an issue that made it impossible for us to participate in this tour. When this issue occurred we were inside of their 24 hour cancellation policy for refunds. We tried unsuccessfully to contact the tour operator by phone and by message to reschedule with no response. I asked the tour operator if they would refund my money as a good faith gesture. They decided to keep my money and deny my request - not very helpful and poor business practice. I guess that the tour would have been good but their lack of contact coupled with their poor business practices makes this tour less than acceptable. Pay attention to the Terms And Conditions!!!

Our guide Gilbert was impeccable. Kind, communicative, and clear throughout the tour. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the palace, the Kings Louis/Marie Antoinette, and the era. I left with such a deeper appreciation for the history of this place and the people of it and France than I expected. I’ve been on probably 100s of castle/palace tours, and to be honest I wasn’t exactly ecstatic about the idea of the tour before we went, but I was just so impressed by it all. That feeling was in no small part because of this tour. Given the crowd sizes as Versailles, I also highly recommend this tour as a it’s a small group tour with 8 people maximum. First, the transit to/from the grounds is very comfortable. Next, you have many chances to ask questions and dive deeper into different areas of the tour. And third, the small group also gives you more time on your own to explore a few areas and take incredible pictures. My only suggestion for how to make the tour better would be to add additional time and include an option for an included golf cart rental so that we can see more of the gardens. They were so incredible, but with only about 30 minutes of time on our own for them, there’s not much we could see in person. Overall though, I wouldn’t change anything about the actual palace tour itself. Oh and also, the tour office (where you meet your guide for the transport) has a very well maintained restroom you can use before and after the tour. Definitely a bonus!

Go see the gardens immediately after the palace or you won’t have enough time! We loved the tour and our guide - we just wish we’d had an extra hour!

From start to finish, the tour at the Louvre with Matt was great. He was waiting exactly where I was told to expect him and was wonderfully knowledgeable throughout the tour. Highly recommended!

The tour guide was awesome and witty. Unfortunately the volume of visitors to Versailles may have distracted from a full appreciation of the vast knowledge the tour guide was able to share.

Excellent tour. Well organised on morning of tour, bus was neat and tidy. Our tour guide (Nicholas) did a great job with great insights on the way out from the city, during the palace tour and also on the way back. Was good to get the tour guide experience in the palace but then have free time in garden to wander.

The tour was ok. I felt it was a super quick visit when there was not enough time to wander and appreciate the beauty of Versailles. I would have loved to have more time in the mirrors room, which deserves some time. The one hour in the garden was not really as interesting because there was not flowers at all. We took 15 minutes to take a picture and go for a quick coffee. It will be great to have some time in each room to really absorb what’s in there. Our guide was knowledgeable of the history of the Palace and France but, I felt in a hurry the whole time. We paid a lot of money to be rushed .

This trip was phenomenal! Dave our guide was an absolute gem. Knowledgeable, hilarious, personable and genuinely kind. Biking was so much fun and gave us an amazing opportunity to see so much more of the castle grounds. Hands down, this was one of our most favorite activities on our Paris vacation! We highly recommend it!

Had a great tour, met up with our driver and he made should all were able to hear in the vehicle. Great information and would use them again. Wish we would of had more time but that was on us. It was great for all ages in our group 6 - 50.

This tour was fantastic! Honoree was our tour guide ace he was so great. Brought Versailles to life. Gave us the history on the ride there and back! It’s fantastic to skip the line as it was VERY crowded! But Honoree made super we got up close and got the time to see everything we wanted! Highly recommend this group as they are all very organized and professional! Thanks!

This was a great quick tour which gives you the highlights of the palace. Our guide Honoré did an excellent job navigating through the palace crowds despite our morning entry time. It was packed. The audio earbuds were key or we would not have been able to hear Honore. Because of the crowds, you don’t get much time to wander the gardens. We had a brief 15- 20 min to walk around before heading back to Paris on the bus.

Versailles is a must-see experience while in Paris and this tour was the perfect length to not only see the incredible opulence of the palace and wonder in the exquisite gardens but also to understand the role the palace and those that lived there played in the French Revolution. Honore, our tour guide, was amazing. I learned more about French history in the few hours we spent together than the whole rest of my time in Paris.
