Versailles Palace & Marie-antoinette's Estate Full Day Private Tour From Paris

Roseanne was wonderful, great guide, very informative, knowledgeable, pleasant, made sure we gotr all of the information we needed, when Marie Antionette's village was unexpectedly closed, she was able to pivot, and take us to Monet's house and gardens which was a wonderful...we were thoroughly pleased with this option, if not for Rosanne we would have been left with nothing to do. Great tour, great guide!!!!!

This private tour was an excellent way to experience Versailles in a more personal and intimate setting. Zara was one of the most knowledgeable guides we have ever had. Her passion for French history made every room, garden, and story so interesting. She was also warm, friendly, and wonderful to spend the day with. Do not miss Marie Antoinette’s private estate, especially the Petit Trianon and the Queen’s Hamlet, the charming village she created. It was peaceful, beautiful, and one of the sweetest and most memorable parts of the entire day. A five-star experience with an outstanding guide! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fredrick picked us up at the hotel and drove us safely to Versailles. He was an absolute delight! I was impressed with his history knowledge which made the experience interesting and gave us such an understanding of the French history. I would absolutely recommend this trip.

Our guide Rozenn, was very knowledgeable, personable, attentive and a safe driver. She meet us at our hotel, drove us to Versailles and walked us through all the rooms and grounds on the tour explaining and pointing out details and telling us the history. This tour is a lot of walking, which was not a problem for us, as most of the walking is level. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Versailles with a private guide.

Rose Anne was the best tour guide! After picking us at our airbnb, Rose Anne was very informative telling us about Paris while we drove through to head to Versailles. At Versailles she was a wealth of information making it interesting for all. Lunch was amazing too. We were treated first class the entire time and I would highly recommend!

Julian was extremely helpful! He secured a wheelchair and expertly navigated Versailles while sharing his vast knowledge! Thank you for helping my sister to make a wonderful memory!

My guide was so knowledgeable about all the little details of Versailles and all the moments of history that lead to Versailles being used as the palace. I loved learning about why specific paintings were in each room and what the room was meant to convey. My guide knew the timings in the fountains, which only run for 1 hour, 3 days a week, and he made sure I saw them before they shut off. I chose this tour as a solo traveler who wanted all the history & details of Versailles, the gardens, as well as Trianon and it was even better than I expected. I couldn’t have had a better experience!

Not enough superlatives to describe the exceptional quality of our guide Zara. She was perfect in every way and we learned SO much! She made sure we experienced every single point of interest listed on the itinerary and knew how to navigate the crowds. We were especially thankful to tour both Grand and Petit Trianon with her and enjoyed visiting Marie Antoinette’s hamlet. Lunch at La Flotille was also wonderful and she made a long 8.5 hour day fly by. It was totally worth the high cost.

Versailles is stunning with the painted ceilings and beautiful furnishings. The topping on the cake is Marie Antoinette’s farm. It truly takes you back in time. And there are no crowds there. You can take your time and soak it all in. There are even animals there. Our guide, Chris provided great information and answered all our questions. A truly special day

We loved this tour, we had Rosanna. It was worth every penny and we actually received information about other monuments that we passed on the way out of Paris and wouldn’t have otherwise seen, in addition to receiving information and the history of Paris. We loved the restaurant choice near Versailles. We appreciated her tailoring the tour to our needs. She was very attentive, patient and kind.

Our guide, Anne-Laure was excellent! Became a fast friend. We felt like we had a new member of the family by the end of the day. She was sensitive to our interests and desires throughout the day. We saw as much of Versailles as we could in an entire day. Thank you!

We had the MOST incredible time with Rose on the private tour of the Palace and Grounds of Versailles! Rose’s knowledge of Paris on our way out of town and throughout the tour was top notch! Can't sing enough praises about this excursion. Our guide, Chris, was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. There is no way i could tell you in writing how beautiful Versalles is but you should definitely go. Also enjoyed Marie Antoinettes personal house where she took the children. Looked forward to seeing Versailles. Have booked private tours with thus company before. This time not as good as before. Booked all day tour with private guide. First the tour guide Chris showed up a half hour late as he went to wrong hotel even though the instructions were very specific. Informed operator prior to tour of mobility issues; however guide seemed annoyed. During the tour at Versailles, ran into issues that guide did not know gates and miffs were out of order (even though he does this tour daily and has for over 30 years). He left my wife somewhat stranded at o e point causing her to back track by herself over 500 meters. He seemed to want tour to be over as he did not make at the stops on the itinerary (missed Petite and Grand gardens). For the money spent ($1500 for two people) did not get value that should have been provided. Like stated, have used company before (Normandy full day private tour) - have full understanding of what to expect. This time expectation were NOT met v

Altogether we had a most enjoyable full day at the Palace of Versailles & grounds and can thoroughly recommend this tour especially if you want to see it all in one day & not least because they fetch you & drop you off at your hotel afterwards! One of the best tours we’ve experienced in a long time! Our tour guide Anne-Laure (Annie) gave us an exceptional day of exploring Versailles. We started at the main Versailles Palace, and walked through Marie Antoinette’s private and prized estates. Annie explained everything very thoroughly as we strolled through some of the most important times of history. It was amazing to be able to go to Versailles and have an exceptional tourguide to lead us along the way! Thank you Annie! The palace was great, and grand, and full of history, but the country palaces where amazing for people that enjoy outdoors and a simpler life....

Fantastic experience! Walking through history while learning so much. Zara was very nice, accommodating and knowledgeable. We had an amazing lunch on the patio of La Flotille and rented bikes to explore amazing groves. The whole day was a delight!

Christophe was an excellent driver and tour guide. He was engaging and knowledgeable. He took us to the best restaurant for lunch as well. He knew all the best spots to stop and take pics as well as helping us get family pictures. We had a great time.

Wonderful experience. Zara was an excellent guide. I cannot think of a better way to visit this amazing place. Having her there to explain everything made for a much richer experience. The palace was extraordinary. The true treat was the Petit Trianon and the nearby hamlet. Just charming. Not to be missed.

Zara was right on time and was very knowledgeable about Versailles - she obviously loves her French history and was eager to share it. The car was comfortable and it was nice not having to try and figure out the train system or wait in line. Zara got us into the restaurant which was great cause it was super crowded. And we enjoyed seeing the smaller ancillary palaces as well as the main palace. My husband is a history buff so a private tour was really very interesting and worth the extra money.

Versailles was a must see if in the Paris area. Our tour guide, Roseen, was so knowledgeable and very nice.

Our guide Chris, was fantastic, full of knowledge about Versailles, the history of the kings/queens, the city of Versailles. We could not ask for a better experience for a first timer to Paris. We treated him to Lunch at an amazing place just down the gardens (hint: Try the French Onion Soup, to die for!) We had little headsets so we could wander at our pace and still hear him describe the rooms, no need to be bunched together. Truly a wonderful experience and worth every penny. Thank you Chris for an outstanding time and many blessings to your family.

Rami, our Driver and Tour Guide, was just SO WONDERFUL! He was incredibly friendly and personable, very knowledgeable, spoke impeccable English, drove safely, and took us all over Versailles...and to the best lunch we'd ever had in France!

We really enjoyed this tour!!! Although it was expensive, we had our own private comfortable ride, starting from the front door of our hotel. As we drove to Versailles, our guide Zara gave us much background on many things along the way. Once we arrived at our destinations Zara had everything orchestrated perfectly. Being a private tour we were able to spend time on what really interested us. Highly recommend because of the comfort and attention.

I have been to Versailles before without a guide. With our guide it was so much better. She was a delight to be with and an excellent driver. Her knowledge of the palace and French history and culture was amazing. Our guide made a unique and wonderful experience.

Versailles and Petit Trianon were amazing but most amazing was our guide - Julian. He was very very knowledgeable, professional and a great companion for the day. We have been on a lot of guided tours and we thought he was one of the best we've every had!

Sylvan picked our 3 generation family of 8 up at hotel in Paris and drove us to Versailles for our tour. He was able to get us in fairly quickly and gave us a great tour around the Palace. He is very knowledgeable about the history and art, and engaged our 4 teen grandchildren with questions, which we enjoyed too! He got us out in time to see the fountains before they stopped at noon. He was very flexible with asking what we wanted to see of the outer buildings, and lead us on a walk around the woods and to the village farm. Very enjoyable and more than we would have seen on our own. Thank you Sylvan!

Very knowledgeable tour guide. It rained on and off but still the overall experience was outstanding!

We were guided on the Versailles palace including gardens and private royal residences by Julian. He was an outstanding guide. He was very knowledgeable about Versailles and the Louis’ specifically; but also about history and it social context, in general. On the drive out he discussed the historical relevance of the places we passed. At Versailles he knew exactly where to stand for the best views. His commentary was amazingly informative and we learnt a great deal. Lunch was great. Julian himself was engaging, thoroughly delightful, and very helpful in ensuring that our trip was perfect. We cannot recommend him too highly. Thank you Julian.

Roseanne, our tour guide made the tour special. We were so impressed by her deep knowledge of Versailles. She knew the art, sculptures and artist. She gave a wonderful humanistic history lesson. She was so kind, funny and smart. Roseann knew her subject matter thoroughly. We would take any tour with her. The time went by so quickly. She also was very kind accommodating my terrible knees I will be getting replaced in July LOL!!

We have been going on many tours but the private tour with Roseanne by far was the best. She was extremely knowledgeable. She knew so much about Versalles. She knew the art work, artists, sculpture, everything. It was like taking a tour with an art professor. There was literally nothing she didn’t know. She also gave us a very human side of French history which was lovely.

Absolutely my favorite tour! The highlight for me was the visit to Marie Antoinette’s estate. Amazing! I also learned new details and history about Versailles itself, even though I have visited multiple times in the past. This simply an excellent tour!

Our guide, Lucile, was fantastic. Wonderfully outgoing and knowledgeable....we learned so much on the tour. The tour itself was fantastic....we were able to skip the line at Versailles and get in right when it opened. Marie-Antoinett's estate was very impressive in its own right. If you can afford this, it's a great experience.

Chris was fantastic! He was very prompt picking us up. The drive to Versailles was smooth and comfortable. Chris picked our tickets up while we walked around the gate area and took photos. He took lots of photos for us in the Palace and had such a deep and interesting wealth of knowledge. He recommended the most delicious and affordable restaurant for lunch, and then took us to the Hamlet. We would absolutely tour with him again! He’s great and made this tour absolutely worth the price.

Julien was an excellent guide, from the moment he picked us up from our hotel until the drop off. I had been to the Palace previously and had done the "audio" tour but decided to plump out a little more as my brother and his son were there for the first time. In hindsight i should have done this myself in 2018 as this personal tour was well worth the money. Julien described every piece of art in the various rooms and provided little anecdotes which helped make the tour more interesting. Truly memorable and worthwhile!
