I love Women in Paris tours. We chose this one, since we didn't know Montmartre at all. Turns out it was a great place to start! Pat was a great guide. She was so knowledgeable and friendly. Even though it was very hot, and there were a lot of tourists, she made it easy to follow. Such unique information, too. I won't give any spoilers, but I gained a new appreciation for Toulouse Lautrec and Vincent Van Gogh, in addition to learning all about at least 6 individuals/groups of women. We also learned about the area, things I had never considered! And the treat was tasty! All in all, well presentative tour of the Women of Paris brand. We will come and do more still!
About Activity
Montmartre: most famously known for its stunning views over Paris, the Sacré Coeur, and of course its artistic residents. Artists like Van Gogh, Picasso, and Matisse come to mind, but what about the women who were vital in their ascension to world-wide success? You may have heard of Van Gogh, but what about his sister in law Johanna who dedicated her life to promoting his art after his death. Or Berthe Weill who can be accredited to the creation of some of these artists' fame. Alongside these daring women of the art world we will also discover a whole host of eclectic characters from Moulin Rouge cabaret dancers to 19th century revolutionaries. Along the way we will stop at a woman owned middle-eastern pâtisserie where we will try one of their best selling confections.
On this brand new walking tour we will meander the same cobblestone streets as these women once did, and discover how this once rural hillside became the charming, bohemian quarter it is today.

I had the best experience on the History & Heroines of Montmartre tour. It was my first time doing a Women in Paris tour and visiting Montmartre as well. Pat was a lovely, knowledgeable, and very engaging tour guide! I highly recommend this tour if you want to learn about the women there; it was very inspiring.
