We had a great day in our small group tour with our wonderful guide Arthur. The difference between the small and large champagne houses was very interesting and Arthur was also very informative and made the day great fun. The hotel pickup was also a big bonus.

Itinerary
Your day begins with convenient pickup directly from your hotel or Airbnb in Paris. Sit back and relax in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle as you leave the city behind and journey towards the world-famous Champagne region. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into the history, culture, and winemaking traditions that have made Champagne one of the most celebrated regions in France, setting the stage for the unforgettable experiences ahead.
Your first Champagne experience takes place at one of the region’s renowned Champagne houses, such as Moët & Chandon, Veuve Clicquot, Taittinger, Nicolas Feuillatte, Mercier, Boizel, or another prestigious producer, depending on availability. You will begin with a guided tour of the estate and its cellars, learning about the history and production methods behind some of the world’s most celebrated Champagnes. The visit concludes with a tasting experience showcasing the house’s distinctive style. What makes this tour unique is the opportunity to compare two different approaches to Champagne making. After visiting a major Champagne house, you will continue to a smaller family-owned producer, where tradition and craftsmanship create a completely different atmosphere. Experiencing both in the same day offers a unique insight into the diversity of Champagne production.
Following your Champagne house visit, you will enjoy a traditional French 3-course lunch at a carefully selected local restaurant. Featuring a starter, main course, and dessert, this meal offers the perfect opportunity to discover authentic French cuisine and regional flavors in a relaxed setting. More than just a lunch break, it is an integral part of the Champagne experience, allowing you to immerse yourself in the local culture and way of life before continuing your journey through the region.
You will then continue to the world-famous Avenue de Champagne in Épernay, often referred to as the “most prestigious street in Champagne.” This remarkable avenue is home to some of the region’s most iconic Champagne houses, with grand historic estates lining both sides of the street. Enjoy free time to stroll along the avenue at your own pace, admire the elegant architecture, and capture unforgettable photos. This is one of the most atmospheric places in Champagne, where heritage, prestige, and centuries of winemaking tradition come together in one unique location.
After visiting the prestigious Champagne houses and the iconic Avenue de Champagne, you will continue to a small, family-owned Champagne producer. This final visit is designed to complete your understanding of the Champagne world by showing the clear contrast between large-scale production and artisanal winemaking. Here, you will enjoy a guided tour of the estate and its cellars, followed by a tasting session of their handcrafted Champagnes. In a more intimate and personal setting, you will discover how tradition, craftsmanship, and family heritage shape a completely different expression of Champagne compared to the major houses visited earlier in the day. This experience allows you to truly understand the diversity of Champagne, from world-famous brands to passionate independent producers.
Your experience continues at a beautiful scenic location known as Royal Champagne, offering breathtaking panoramic views over the vineyards of the Champagne region. Here, you will enjoy a relaxed blind tasting experience hosted by your guide/driver. In a fun and interactive setting, you will compare different sparkling wines and try to distinguish Champagne from Crémant, turning tasting into an engaging game. This stop is designed not only for learning and enjoyment, but also for unforgettable photos, with stunning vineyard landscapes creating the perfect backdrop to capture your day in Champagne.
At the end of your Champagne experience, you will relax on the journey back to Paris in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle. Your driver/guide will drop you off at the same location where you were picked up in the morning, ensuring a smooth and convenient end to your day after a full immersion in the Champagne region.

Alexander (Sasha) our driver and tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and took us to great Champagne houses. We really enjoyed the entire day
Alex was the best! Really on top of his game. Very informative. A lot of fun, especially our last stop. Don't miss this tour!🥳
You go to 2 champagne wineries You have lunch at small winery Driver won’t stop for coffee breakfast so have before you go
Our champagne tour in Reims was truly one of the highlights of our trip to France, and so much of that was thanks to our incredible guide, Arthur. He was knowledgeable, engaging, warm, and made the entire day feel special rather than simply like a series of tours. We started with a wonderful visit to Veuve Clicquot, where we learned so much about the history and craftsmanship behind Champagne. We also visited the beautiful Reims Cathedral, and finished the day with a quick stop at Moët & Chandon. Lunch was another standout at Clos Corbier: an amazing meal at a small local producer that felt intimate, authentic, and completely different from the larger Champagne houses. We were treated like family. What impressed us most was learning about the incredible cellars, history, traditions, and amount of work that goes into every bottle. Arthur brought it all to life and made the day both educational and incredibly fun. One of the absolute highlights was Arthur teaching my daughter how to saber a bottle of Champagne—such a fun, unexpected experience and a memory we will never forget! The only downside? After seeing how Champagne is actually made and tasting it in Champagne, I’m not sure we’ll ever be able to drink anything else! Highly recommend this tour—and especially Arthur. It was the perfect combination of Champagne, food, history, beautiful scenery, and a few unforgettable surprises.
The champagne lunch and tasting tour was fantastic! Our tour guide, Max, was incredibly informative, professional and courteous. It was a perfect tour as it was small. We met some great people along the way and the to/from drop off from our hotel was extremely convenient. The lunch at Le Clos Corbier, small champagne house in the region, was superb, with the family and workers serving glasses of their best champagne. Max was able to give us a tour of their cellar, explain the champagne making process and having us explore the history of the champagne region. To top it off, we went to Moet & Chandon and experienced what it’s like to visit one of the big champagne houses for tastings and appetizers. We also loved visiting Reims and walking through and learning about the history of its Cathedral de Notre Dame. I would recommend this tour again for anyone looking for a getaway from the busy Parisian lifestyle during their trip and would attend this tour again!
We had a very enjoyable day of learning how champagne is made at a couple of different locations with tastings of different types of champagne, along with wonderful lunch, a stop at a high-end champagne house and finished with a special surprise from our guide Alex, of learning how to open a bottle of champagne in a VERY SPECIAL way. Our daughter completely loved this extra surprise, and so did we. Our guide, Alex was extremely knowledgeable and personable, which made for a wonderful learning experience and a fun, very memorable day. And the views of the vineyards along the way were so pretty.
THE BEST EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!! Came to Paris on a Graduation trip from University and this was the best way to top it all off. Not only was our tour a surprise private tour, Alex (our fabulous guide) made sure that my sister and had had the most remarkable experience. The tastings and lunch were amazing but the intention, conversation, and friendship was so much more valuable. THANK YOU ALEX for the best trip a wine enthusiast could ask for!!
Fun, fascinating and memorable. An extremely well conducted day. Notre Dame in Reims, The caves at Veuve Clicquot. An exceptional lunch at Le Theatre in Epernay. A sabrage lesson overlooking the Champagne-Ardenne valley. And a beautiful tasting at Dom Caudron (a French cooperative👍). Merci Alex!!!
We had a perfect day with Alex! From the church in Reims to Veuve Cliquot to a spectacular view over the vineyards -- we had the best day imaginable. Drinking champagne in Champagne was on my bucket list -- and thanks to Alex and this fantastic trip I can check it off the list. I would not hesitate to do this trip again with my friends and family on my next trip to France!
Our guide Arthur was fun and knowledgeable, our group was super friendly, we had an amazing lunch and learnt a lot about champagne…and, the Notre Dame Cathedral…Wow! Highly recommend this tour…absolutely loved it!
Great guide with wonderful travel mates.
The trip was so much fun. Our guide Arthur was one of the best guides I have had… generous and kind, flexible, great information, funny and he wanted us to have a good time and delivered. The day was such a great mix of experiences. A very large champagne house, lunch, an experience in the vineyard, a smaller unique champagne producer with a few extra stops added in. It was a great day and we highly recommend it!
This trip was sensational ! , our Guide Arthur a very genuine , friendly , witty guy , he provided plenty of useful information without overload. Group of 7 people was ideal , 3 course lunch excellent and the Champers ...plenty of it !!! MAGNIFIQUE !!!
Author was our driver guide. 200% the best!
Could not ask for a better experience! Alex was an amazing guide! He was super friendly, funny, knowlegdeable and kind! We were picked up and dropped off at hotel which was very convenient. Our lunch that was included so sooooo good! The champagne houses we visited was a mix between the larger and smaller ones and of course we drank way too much! Alex surprised us at the end with a stop of a breathtaking view of the countryside and more champagne! Meanwhile to tell you how exceptional our guide, Alex was, when I woke up the next day I realized my favorite sunglasses were gone. We texted him and he found them in his van. He happened to be available and dropped them off at our hotel. What an honest person who went above and beyond! Not many people would do that these days! If you are thinking about this excursion, we would 110% recommed!
What a wonderful experience! We got to see a variety of champagne houses from large to small, all of which were amazing. The provided lunch was delicious. Our tour guide, Alex, was both friendly and knowledgeable. He worked to make our trip fit our preferences, was funny, and provided great service. Would highly recommend!
Alex was a great guide who took us to many great spots where we learned great information about champagne and the region!
It’s a long day out of the city and into the beautiful countryside. An informational tour about the champagne process with champagne tasting!
I wouldn’t recommend this tour as it was inferior to other wine tasting tours I have taken. Though two of the tastings were enjoyable the lunch was st a horrible restaurant that looked like a cafeteria and the food was not eatable. Usually the lunch would be at a boutique vineyard, with a view and third tasting. Way too expensive for this experience.
Safe driver, good food, lots of champagne.
Arthur was knowledgeable, fun and great guide. We thoroughly enjoyed the group and the tour. Tasted several kinds if champagne and visited a couple of champagne houses. Lunch was very tasty!
Excellent tour. From the pickup, visit to a vineyard, champagne tastings, delicious lunch, stunning views to the drop off, everything was great! Our tour guide Tomer was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this tour.
A perfect day. Well planed, informative and very personal. A big thank you for a everlasting memory.
Very personal and friendly guides showing both small and large champagne-houses and the Notre Dame in Reims - amazing.
This was a fabulous experience! Great communication with tour operator and Guide. Very nice ride to and from the Champagne region. We visited very different types of champagne makers, tasted many varieties and had a nice lunch. And a surprise treat from our guide. We were returned safely to our Paris Hotel. A beautiful day!
Amazing experience and Alex was the best guide . He knows a lot about champagne. Highly recommend !!
A really fun and educational day trip for my daughter and I. We went to two champagne houses and had 5 small glass tastings. Lunch was nice and in a small, quaint restaurant. Loved the door to service.
Sebastian was a great tour guide! This tour had a wonderful lunch and ended up being about 12 hours including drop off and pick up, including plenty of wine and sightseeing. Would strongly recommend !
We learned so much about champagne! This is better than we expected, very interesting and enjoyable. TJ is very knowledgeable and just a really nice guy. Our lunch was very good and such a fun experience. A truly perfect way to spend the day!
Alex was a great guide very detailed, informative, and fun. So he gets 5 stars. However, the tour had only 2 visits to champagne houses: Taittenger and a smaller house because Moët was closed. There was a surprise by Alex but we much rather have a 3rd visit to another Champagne house since the drive was 2.5 hours one way. I would suggest to have lunch at a different restaurant as it took over 2 hours to go over lunch.
We had such a fantastic experience! Would hands down recommend to anyone. Definitely book this. TJ was an amazing guide! We came as part of a girls trip and it was such a perfect day trip from Paris. Loved getting to visit the houses and champagne tastings. Such a memorable experience - a highlight of our trip!
Tomer was an amazing guide. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel, saving us a walk or metro trip. We had a very comfortable van and 6 people total on our trip, 7 with the guide, Tomer. Tomer also personalized the trip for us, adding in extras like Don Perignon’s tomb, a tour inside Norte Dame Cathedral in Reims (which honestly may have been better than the one in Paris), and more. We had a delicious lunch that lasted about 90 minutes or so and gave us time to get to know each other and enjoy a 3 course menu. This wasn’t some thrown together sandwiches, but an actual restaurant. Tomer and the champagne house tour guides all did an amazing job explaining the history of champagne, how it’s made, how it’s regulated, and more.
We did this in July. Too much driving. First champagne house didn’t know we were coming so nothing was set up. More driving. Then a very odd ultra fancy Lunch with no champagne. Tattinger and stop at vueve were nice but overall I don’t recommend this tour.
Sebastian was PHENOMENAL! He took us all around the Champagne region and showed us breathtaking spots we didn't even know was on the itinerary! Veuve had a great tour that really explained the details of Champagne making. Then we went to a smaller vineyard where we had a decatant lunch and was met with open arms by the owners and family of the chateau. It was a highlight for sure! Lastly he took us to the top of the vineyards with breathtaking views! Luckily our weather was perfect for it! It was a great day!
We had an amazing experience with our tour guide Tomer. The wine, food and views were all great. I would highly recommend this tour to see the Champagne region. It lasted about 12 hours with traffic getting back to Paris. It was overall a great experience.
Alex was a good driver and treated us to his knowledge and his own tasting. The car was comfortable and views incredible.
We just got back from our day in the Champagne region and we had a great day! Alex was a very attentive guide and made sure we all had a wonderful experience! One couple in our group lost her purse during the day and Alex was doing his best to juggle helping her and keeping all the rest of us happy and taken care of! The day ended up being a little longer than expected but not by his fault at all! We appreciated his kindness and patience to her and his determination to keep the rest of us happy and having a good time! Taittinger house with the tour of their caves was very interesting and the champagne was delicious! Then we went to Veuve Cliquot (our favorite and we were so excited to have it added to our day!) for a quick stop to shop in the boutique and have a glass of champagne there (this was not part of the original plan but we all decided as a group to forego the cathedral to make this stop instead). Then on to a 2 Michelin star restaurant for lunch which was fantastic! After lunch we went to Moet and Chandon, again for a quick stop to shop and get a glass of champagne. On the way to our last stop Alex took us to a park that overlooked the beautiful vineyards for a tasting he had brought with him. The views were breathtaking! This is where the missing purse came into play but we were all on board to help locate it. After about an hour of calling the previous places and searching the park and the van, he took the couple with the missing purse to the police station and then drove the rest of us to the next tasting. (We missed the tour of this champagne house by we didn’t mind as we felt bad for the couple and for Alex.) We were a few hours off course but it didn’t take away from the day we had! Met some fun new people and had a blast! We would do it all again!
Tomar was a very knowledgeable guide. I recommend this tour if you are interested in the champagne region of France.
TJ was amazing! He was super informative, took exceptional care of our whole group, made sure we were nicely buzzed during the trip, and regaled us with amazing stories about the region/ the champagne making process and his own life - loved it!
We had a fabulous time on our champagne tour with Sasha. He was amazing and can’t recommend him and the tour enough. We had a great time with our group, we learned, laughed, ate and I even learned how to saber a bottle open. Simply amazing day.
Excellent! Worth going to Moet & Chandon. Beautiful views and delicious lunch. Tomer our your guide was excellent.
It was awesome! Alex was a great tour guide!! Learned to saber a champaign bottle. Great music on the ride and the guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. Great all around experience. Definitely recommend.
The beauty of the tour was having a designated driver! The driver, Sebastian, was quite informative before, during, and after each tasting. During the travel to the champagne region, he had a question and answer game for us. That game made the time fly. Sebastian was diligent in his duties, making sure we were on time for each tasting, no one got lost, and setting up the glasses for the tasting when necessary. We had a fun group too, with plenty of laughter. I will recommend this tour to friends and family coming to Paris.
If you’re considering a champagne tour in Champagne—stop thinking and book it, especially if you’re lucky enough to land Sasha as your guide. This guy is part historian, part comedian, part sommelier, and 100% the life of the bubbly party. From the moment we hopped in the van, Sasha was dropping fascinating facts about the region like a local professor who just happens to be outrageously charming. He guided us through gorgeous vineyards, world-renowned champagne houses, and hidden gems only a true insider would know. By tasting #5 (or was it 6?) we were all a bit tipsy, very happy, and bonded by bubbles. The champagne flowed freely and so did the laughter. Somewhere between a cellar tour and a breathtaking hilltop view, we stopped for lunch—and wow. A delicious, perfectly paired meal that might have been even better than the champagne (and that’s saying something). We started as a van full of strangers and ended as a giggling, glass-clinking crew of new friends. Sasha didn’t just show us Champagne—he gave us a day we’ll never forget (even if the details get a little fuzzy thanks to, well… the champagne). 10/10 would do again—preferably tomorrow. Santé! 🥂✨
A fabulous day out in the countryside of France after all the bustle of Paris. The champagne houses we visited were all different and thoroughly enjoyable. The coach was comfortable. Loved our stop, overlooking the vineyards where we had a fabulous al fresco tasting and champagne bottle opening lesson - outstanding!! The only negative was the length of time for pick up and drop offs at each hotel - really would suggest a couple of more central meeting points for people to get to rather than braving the Paris traffic. The lunch was delicious but would have liked to have been in a champagne winery location with a glass of bubbles as opposed to buying our own drinks in a local restaurant. However, overall a great day out and recommend.
Max the driver and guide was excellent! One of the best guides I’ve ever experienced! He was so knowledgeable, friendly, flexible went out of his way to show us extra places!! Courteous and always available! He was outstanding!
The tourist starts early, so be prepared! To speak to our individual tour we had a good group! There was only seven of us in the group which made it fun and we were able to learn a lot about each other through the day while sipping on and learning about the various grapes of champagne of France! Our tour guide Sebastian was extremely accommodating if something wasn’t on a route for a stop in. he made sure we did and still kept us within the time of getting to the places planned.. I would recommend this tour however I would recommend during the week so you could actually see the protection happening but going on a weekend was still fabulous being able to ship champagne and join in the Parisian culture for the day!
The tour was outstanding and our guide Sebastian was excellent! We visited two champagne houses, sampled some delicious bubbly and also had a tasting overlooking a breathtaking view of the vineyards and village below. The lunch at a Michelin restaurant was delicious. These are just the highlights, and I can't stress enough how our guide Sebastian made it extra special!
Great experience seeing the region, a smaller producer that walked us through the process, and a larger house that gave a different perspective. And some great Champagne to try along the way. Lunch was very good as well, and really enjoyed the stop to see Reims Cathedral, just spectacular.
