Itinerary
The rooms are studded with sculptures and selections of more than 200 paintings that Rodin had accumulated over his life. You’ll explore his various studies of the human form, including numerous hands and the life-sized “The Walking Man.” Learn about his contemporaries, whom he depicted in clay, like the French writer Balzac. Discover the details of his masterpiece, “The Gates of Hell,” including the most recognizable of Rodin’s work, “The Thinker.” After exploring the inside of the museum, you can stroll the beautifully manicured gardens where more sculptures are on display. Through this epic collection of his works, you’ll learn all about this renowned artist who became, even if unwittingly, a father of modern sculpture.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, and was able to help us understand the techniques used by Rodin to develop his creations. She was very friendly. She frequently checked with us to make sure that we weren’t overheating on our visit and provided information for where we could get some refreshments after our tour. We were very pleased with our tour guide. Thank you. Clyde & Rita Thomas
Our tour was outside and our guide was very knowledgeable. We had been to the Rodin Museum before, had visited the Rodin Museum on Stanford campus in California, USA and my wife as an artist had studied Rodin in school and still we learned a lot of new and interesting things about this remarkable artist. It was a great experience.
Antole was great in providing information, interpretation, and in answering questions. Without a doubt, extremely more valuable than trying to visit the museum alone.
Julien is the best. Shares his passion for the museum. Just go!
Excellent tour by Sunday. She made the experience interactive. It was informative but not overwhelming. Her education in Fine Arts made it possible to discuss not only the history of the facility but aspects of the sculptures themselves
I’ve been to the museum before but this time it was a real treat. Donja was an excellent tour guide who’s knowledge about the artist as well as cultural history relative to the time period in question was unmatched. Highly recommend this small group tour!!
Incredible experience, kept us entertained and informed. He was very knowledgeable. The entire family had a fun tour, would highly recommend!
Belen arrived promptly and introduced herself as an artist. She provided lots of insight into the characters we were seeing and the production process. She didn't talk much about Rodin's life - we did learn about his wife and mistress, and their depictions in the museum.
Knowledgable, funny tour guide—worth every cent! Our tour guide, Anatole, was very knowledgable, funny and made very thoughtful comments both from an artist perspective as well as the historic perspective. He spoke English very well. I definitely learned a ton about Rodin but done in a thoughtful way. We appreciated the tour especially compared to visiting the museum on our own, 10/10 would very much recommend!
Ana was kind of thoughtfully shared her knowledge of history, making sure we were following along to best understand the story behind Rodin's work. I especially enjoyed her exposé of the Honore de Balzac and appreciated how she taught us how important the piece was as a conceptual art work. Over all she led a good tour which I would recommend, though for the first part it seemed as though we spent a little too much time outside before entering the museum proper, possibly out of her desire for fresh air which I do understand.
Julien gave us good insight into Rodin’s art, how it reflected his life, and the times in which he lived. It is so much more meaningful than just seeing the art. Would like more information on the Hotel itself and broadly on the other art. Also could have an iPad with pictures and info of the Rodin factory outside of Paris to share plus other info
Julien was a well-informed, personable, and understandable English-speaking tour guide. I would highly recommend him.
We thoroughly enjoyed a private tour of Museum of Rodin with a very knowledgeable expert named Sunday. It was a very delightful experience with just the right amount of information and intriguing background and appreciation of the works of Rodin. Sunday was delightful !
We had a spectacular tour thanks to Sunday, the name of our tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided a fun, deeply interesting with a lot of humor narrative of Rodin, bringing to life the man and his talents in both the context of his time and his influence on art going forward. I’ve been to the Rodin museum before, but the experience with Sunday seemed like I had not been there before. We learned so much and had a fantastic time. Thank you Sunday!
This was a great tour with Dunja. She was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. We learned a bunch. What a great museum!
Great tour and excellent guide. Very knowledgeable of all things Rodin. It was very informative, entertaining and enjoyable.
We had a phenomenal tour of the Rodin museum with Hugo. He explained the history behind the pieces in a way that was interesting and entertaining, and we left with a much greater appreciation of the works than we would have had otherwise.
Floriant our guide was excellent! He was very knowledgeable of the art and artist. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with him!
Excellent .... very good .... would recommend to others. But I would not recommend this review process.
Informative and enjoyable visit with our knowledgeable guide, Sunday. This was our first trip to this beautiful museum and we enjoyed it very much. Highly recommend.
Malaika was a very knowledgeable guide. She was on time, the check in was smooth, and she had a wealth if knowledge about Rodin, his life, his art, and artists at the time. She shared interesting facts and tidbits. Highly recommend her! One thing she did that I appreciated was to send the actual museum tickets to us beforehand. We could go inside and use the facilities while waiting for her and not wait in the heat. The importance of this became obvious when we booked another tour to Louvre by Get Your Guide and City Wonders. They do not send you the original tickets. If you fail to meet at the meeting spot, you cannot even go inside on your own. I appreciate Malaika’s and Babylon tour reliable practice.
All it it. Balen was fabulous. Everything was perfect because she made it that way! One of the best tours I have ever done.
Our guide was amazing. So informed. She made it an amazing tour. She could not have been better! She knew answer to every questioned asked.
We did the private tour of Musee Rodin with Belen. The tour was absolutely wonderful. Belen is incredibly warm, friendly, funny, knowledgeable and more than anything, very passionate! We truly felt that we got so much more out of the museum having experienced it with a guide and I genuinely learned so many things. I would highly recommend!
This was our second tour with Hugo, and it proved just as delightful as the first! Hugo's storytelling and artful explanations truly immerse you in the experience and provoke deep emotions. He is a tour guide and philosopher rolled into one! Hugo will always be our top choice when exploring our favorite city, Paris. Highly recommended!
The Rodin museum was incredible - the gardens, the building, and the art were one of our favourite places in Paris. Our guide Barbara was outstanding -- her knowledge of art history, and Rodin in particular was excellent. Her awe and love of art and history was a pleasure to learn from. We really enjoyed our tour with her. Thank you, Barbara.
Loved our tour with Florent! We received so much interesting and useful information which greatly enhanced our visit to the Rodin Museum. Cannot recommend highly enough!
Anatole was an excellent guide. His knowledge of Rodin was apparent. The museum is fascinating and Anatole taught us so much about the sculptor and the process of his creations.
Malaika was a wonderful guide to the Rodin Museum, she took us on the most thought-provoking exploration of Rodin's most important works. She was wonderful at telling stories, taking us through Rodin's life and work to paint us a picture of life in Paris during the turn of the centruy, without giving us a dry recitation of facts. We can't wait to book with her again!
Malaika was an excellent tour guide and kept us all of us engaged throughout our wonderful tour of the Rodin Museum
Excellent tour of the Rodin museum and its collections. Our guide, Dunya, is studying art history at the graduate level and had an exhaustive knowledge of Rodin’s works and life in the cultural context of 19th and early 20th century Paris. We had seen several Rodin sculptures and plasters earlier in the Musée D’Orsay as well as many works by rodin’s friends and colleagues and our guide was able to seamlessly integrate and discuss those works in context of explaining Rodin’s progression as an artist and the influences on his development, from antiquity to contemporaries to his loves and lovers. My partner and I both have doctorate degrees and are not easily impressed, but we had a delightful experience.
The insightful commentary of our guide which made a connection between us and Rodin, his life, loves, friends and passions.
This tour was definitely a highlight of our vacation in Paris. Belen our tour guide was simply amazing and we learned so much about Rodin and art, so much it has sparked a new interest to learn more. Thank you 🇨🇦
The house and the gardens are very beautiful and the life, works and collections of Rodin very evocative and interesting. Tanya our guide is extremely knowledgeable and freely shared that knowledge including visual aids which were very helpful. She also provided great context so we could make connections to the time and contemporaries of Rodin, as well as past and future tours of other museums. However what was most memorable is that unfortunately I had a medical episode during the tour. Our guide Tanya was so kind and caring doing everything in her power to take care of me and make sure I was ok. I am truly grateful.
Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly an eager to please. We would have never have learned as much without him.
Our visit to the Rodin museum was absolutely wonderful thanks to our exemplary tour guide, Lucien. His extensive knowledge surrounding the art and the history brought it all alive for us. He was very patient with our questions and gave us thorough and insightful answers. We highly recommend this tour with Lucien.
My friend and I knew very little about Rodin when we came for our tour. Lucien did a great job of telling the back-stories on the sculptures to give us a real feel for what life was like for Rodin and what inspired each piece of art. We would highly recommend this tour because it gives you the knowledge to really appreciate Rodin's work from many angles.
Tour Guide Lucien was very knowledgable about the Rodin Museum, history, art in general. Would highly recommend this tour. HE was so good there we other visitors that hooked onto his narration throughout almost the entire tour. he was personable, engage with all in our group and brought Rodin to life -- content we'll forever remember. And full of surprises.
Our guide, Lucien, was by far the very best guide we had on our entire trip to the Loire Valley and Paris! We took many guided tours and we wished Lucien could have been our guide for every tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, friendly and funny. He also spoke perfect English. The museum and gardens were beautiful and it was fascinating to learn about Rodin's life. Highly recommend this hidden gem and if you can request Lucien as your guide, you will not be disappointed!
Best guide ever! If you are lucky enough to get Belen Roncoroni you will be amazed at the depth of her knowledge and the graceful way that she conducts her tour. We felt like family with her immediately. She has dedicated her professional career to Art and it colors every aspect of the tour. Thanks Belen! Dirk and Sarah
Taylor was very knowledgeable about Rodin and his works and gave us an amazing, private tour of the Rodin museum! She was wonderful and informative and we would not have enjoyed Rodin's works nearly as much without the knowledge she shared with us! She was extremely kind and helpful. We did a few guided tours and Taylor was the absolute best! I wish we would have booked all of our guided tours with her!
Incredible visit with Florent. Very complete comments and very friendly visit. To be done again with great pleasure
We had a wonderful private tour of the Rodin Museum in German with our guide Marcel. Although I had already read up on Rodin before our trip, my girlfriend and I learned so much new stuff. Marcel made his tour so pleasant and answered all of our questions brilliantly. He also showed lots of pictures and provided lots of explanatory quotes from Rodin's time. He really is an art historian with a talent for getting other people excited about his subject. If you don't just want to take pictures of Rodin's thinker, but want to understand this great artist, this tour is highly recommended. We were simply satisfied with the museum and our guide Marcel, and there were no complaints.
El guía que nos acompañó no nos dio una explicación profunda del artista solo recorrió las salas con nosotros fue muy amable pero esperábamos más información del museo y del artista. Fue una pena pagar un tour privado para lo que recibimos. No volvería a contratar !
