The tour had a nice pace, Sergio was excellent!! He explained everything very well and his detail about the history of the place and the historic leaders of the country were superb. All the conversation was very good. We knew nothing about Hotel de Invalides before our visit and we had minimal expectations but after spending several hours with Sergio, we loved our tour and never felt rushed. Would highly recommend!

Itinerary
Your guide will lead you through the epic courtyard of the Invalides, discussing its 17th century roots as a veteran’s hospital under King Louis XIV. You’ll visit the cathedral that Louis had built for his former troops, who found respite here after returning from battle. After discussing the Sun King’s contributions to France’s military history, you’ll learn all about the nation’s most elite leader, Napoleon Bonaparte. A brilliant general and audacious emperor, he is synonymous with France’s gold days of military conquest. Ultimately pushing too far, Napoleon died in exile, though his remains are interred underneath the magnificent gold dome. Come face to face with his tomb, as well as the tombs of those closest to him, while basking in the ornate homage to this leader. Spend some time in the museum to learn all about this man, beyond his famous stature, through artifacts, recreations, and military maps that walk you through his many wins and defeats.

Cecile was amazing she had deep historical knowledge and a good dry sense of humour. We felt we got more than just the normal tour information Cecile made the tour so interesting and we learnt a lot about the French Revolution, Napoleons life and his after life legacy as well as some interesting facts about the current blood line relatives Highly recommend
Went on a tour today with Sergio. Prob the best tour guide we have ever had. Highly recommend him and the tour. Was sooooo good!!!!
Emilie was lovely, professional, knowledgeable, able to answer follow up questions, pacing was efficient and relaxing. Her presentations led me to research more about Napoleon.
Daniel A was our guide and was fantastic! He was very polite and professional allowing us to adjust the tour to focus on ww2. He was obviously a subject matter expert. Highly recommend Daniel A.
Our guide, Florent, was very knowledgeable, respectful, patient, and overall a great guide. We enjoyed this tour very much.
Florent was superb! I am a professional guide as well and I recommend him to anyone. Just outstanding - total command of the subject and history and an excellent and engaging storyteller!
Florence was such an educator, extremely knowledgeable. Friendly, entertains and answers all questions from historical and war based expertise. Highly recommended
Florian did an amazing tour for us at the Invalides. Extremely engaging, impressive depth of knowledge. Would highly recommend him for any tour in Paris.
Informative. Fun. Great pace. Our guide spent a lot of time explaining things and individualizing the needs of our tour. Was fantastic.
Wonderful experience! Wife and I could not be happier Sergio was an incredible, knowledgeable and personable guide. Five Star!
Florent C. Was so wonderful! Super knowledgeable and fun - felt so customized and engaging. We loved it all! We would love to work with Florent again on another location.
This tour was brilliant - we had a great tour guide, Michele who was both knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Napoleon. We were very lucky that we were the only ones in the tour so we could ask as many questions as we wanted. The kids enjoyed it too - my daughter was surprised at how quickly the time went. Highly recommended. I'll also note that a visitor at the venue overhead Michele's discussion with us and was so impressed he asked him for his details so he could book a future tour with him.
Anatole is the best guide in all of Paris. He was so informative, friendly and humerous. We enjoyed this tour more than all that we took
Anatole was a great guide on our Invalides tour, he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the background of various exhibits, we all enjoyed our experience with him
Had a splendid time here with Anatole! He was funny, so informative and brought us to see all the special sights and artefacts which my military buff husband appreciated. Totally recommend this tour with Anatole!
Florian is a really great, knowledgeable, and passionate guide! If you can spend more than 2 hours here, I’d recommend it because there is just so much to see! If not, you won’t be disappointed and you can always come back another time ;)
Excellent guide. There were only 4 in our group. Learned a lot about Napoleon and his conquests. The church tour was quite interesting but wished we had a little more time to spend in the army museum.
Wonderful tour with Emmanuel - we were running 10 min late due to train service interruption - he was easy to communicate with and it was a great informative tour.
Wonderful tour! Highly recommend to all ages. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept our attention throughout our time together. Five stars!
Great guide, very knowledgeable with subtle enthusiasm. Les Invalides is very interesting especially if you history.
Our guide Florent was terrific! He was very entertaining and thorough. We had a small group of 7 which was great. I learned a ton and it was a good balance to do this along with the other walking tours and art museums.
This tour was outstanding. Florent was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the museum and the history. He made the tour so interesting and enjoyable.
I strongly advise against this tour. I spent nearly $400 for just two hours, and they even charged me for my one-year-old son. It's unacceptable.
Was recommended by someone else and it did not disappoint. We were the only people so it turned into a private tour. Full of cool info in a laid back atmosphere
Anatole customized our experience and showed us all of the major highlights. He answered questions with ease and had a great understanding of all relevant topics. He was super kind and made the experience great.
Florian was fantastic - so knowledgeable and engaging. Highly recommend this tour. Les Invalides is very interesting and much less crowded than other places. Don't miss the collection of armor - it is spectacular.
Give you French history of emperors, kings, queens and the people. Has a beautiful Dome and interesting sarcophagus, all the Napoleons.
Fantastic guide, very knowledgeable providing an excellent tour of Invalides and Napoleon's tomb. Plan on staying after the tour as there is so much to see at Invalides. Would highly recommend.
My husband and I enjoyed the guided tour from the beginning to the end. Florian was very informative and passionate about the topic, he was able to answer all history-related questions my husband had without a problem. Even though the tour itself is very unusual for a major tourist interested, I’d still highly recommend it to those who are interested in history.
It is best to have an excellent guide, Romain, fit the bill. We were fortunate to have him. In addition to the excellent tour, he was very understanding when a metro malfunction delayed our arrival slightly.
The tour was top notch. Our guide provided a detailed and entertaining look at the historical and cultural items displayed in this magnificent museum. The anecdotes she shared highlighted the purpose and intent of the original building and the lasting legacy of the leaders. Highly recommend.
Florent was a great tour guide. He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject matter. He took us to the best parts! He showed us some really cool stuff relating to France and the US also. This place is huge! It would have taken us all day if we had not had a guide! Highly recommend!
Our tour of Les Invalides and Napoleon’s tomb was amazing. Florent was very personable, friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour as it will maximize your experience of this museum and its wonderful history! Thank you Florent!
Florian was a really wonderful guide. He met us about 10 minutes early and was such a wealth of knowledge about everything French history. He really seemed like he himself enjoyed explaining the history to us which made the entire experience that much more enjoyable and memorable for us. My wife and I would both agree that Florian made the tour an excellent choice and would highly recommend him for anyone.
The experience was excellent and we had a wonderful guide, Mathieu who was very thorough and knowledgeable. We were able to get really up close to everything and the WWI and WWII museums were phenomenally put together. An absolute must see when you’re in Paris, especially isle you love history.
So much to see on this tour and our guide, Anatole, did a great job showing us the highlights. Was also really good to have time afterwards to explore more on our own.
Tour well done, tour guide too long on explanation but appreciate his knowledge. 2heures sufficient pour le tour
We had a fantastic tour of the Army museum and the tomb of Napoleon. We focused on World war I and World war II history and all the amazing artifacts inside the museum. We highly recommend this tour and our tour guide of Florent was fantastic!
My husband, son and I voted this our most favorite tour between this, the Louvre and Versailles - reason being because we had basically a private family tour. Daniel had a wealth of information he bestowed on us, but he covered just the right amount. We appreciated his light sense of humor too! Cannot say enough complimentary things about our guide, and we truly had an amazing experience at Les Invalides. More people really need to do this tour!
Anatole was exceptionally knowledgeable and passionate. Could not ask for a better guide. I would recommend him to anyone visiting Invalides.
Very knowledgeable brought tablet for pictures of history very helpful. Great collection medieval weapons
Florent was one of the best guides I have ever had. He was patient and extremely knowledgeable about everything and filled the gaps with other miscellaneous facts.
Wonderful in just one word. Everthing is a unique experience. They gave us an unforgettable experience. We loved it.
The weaponry of Louis IV and the fascinating life and afterlife of Napoleon. 2 brilliant egotists.y Terrific overviwe by Florent. His passion and knowledge of these topics is impressive, educational and entertaining.
Our tour with Florent was outstanding. It was the highlight of our trip. Florent has vast knowledge and love of history that really shines through during our tour!
Loved hearing the stories about the history of napoleon and his exploits! Laurent was awesome! He was easy to understand and answered all our questions!
Great tour from a highly knowledgeable man with a deep passion for the history he was sharing with us. We had a great time and learned alot.
Sean was an amazing tour guide. Extremely knowledgeable about the rich history of the Hotel de Invalides and its importance to French history.
We had an incredible time with Michele as our guide. Although Invalides may not be the top pick for first-time visitors to Paris, I can't express how amazing the experience was and how much I learned about Napoleon and the fascinating history of that era. Michele's enthusiasm and extensive knowledge truly made the tour unforgettable. I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique experience.
