Private Tour: Secrets Of Notre Dame & Latin Quarter With A Local

The tour provided a good overview of the historical features in the Latin Quarter including St. Sulpice and St. Genevieve Churches inside and out with Delacroix art, Luxembourg Gardens, views of Roman ruins, Parthenon and Musee Cluny. The Sorbonne, St. Germain, Odeon Cinemas and the many restaurants near Rue Descartes were highlighted as well. The tour gave us a great orientation to the district. The tour includes St. Chappelle and Notre Dame but we elected to forego them as we have already been.

Our tour guide, Isabel, was amazing. She was so warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and considerate that we wished we could have her with us for the entirety of our trip! We’ve been in the Latin Quarter a few times and had no idea what we were seeing. Isabel brought it to life for us and shared little hidden gems we hadn’t realized were there. We loved it!

Isabel was great. Very informative and very willing to accommodate our wishes for what we wanted to see.

So fun to have a private local with so much knowledge. Though I’ve been to Paris different times over the years I learned more on a private tour than I ever have.

It was magnificent, a lot of knowledge, wonderful personality, was easy to speak with. Hears great stories and he (our guide) was accommodating to our priorities in the trip whether we wanted to spend more time or less at some location. Our best tour of our Paris trip!

Tour guide was very knowledgeable about history and Paris. I didn’t discover until I read detailed itinerary on day of tour it didn’t include the interior of Notre Dame or Saint Chappell. I separately arranged tickets for visiting Notre Dame which our tour guide willingly accommodated into the tour, but probably caused us to miss some of the other listed attractions. The one suggested improvement I would make is to include more information about architecture and the changes in Paris streetscapes over time

We had gotten to Paris and it was beautiful and all but it still felt dull. Carlo’s did a great job of bringing the city to life through its rich and long history. He was so kind and you can tell he was so passionate about what he was doing. When we got there , he was our tour guide. By the end of the night , we felt like we had made a new lifelong friend. The guide did not show up. I was charged $220 US and still did not get my refund. Please be careful travelers!

Giedre is very knowledgeable about Parisian history and culture. She also shares a ton of information about place to go and eat during your stay in Paris. My advice will be to take a tour with her on your very first day of your stay in Paris and use all the information she shares the rest of your trip.

We had a fun tour with Welly! He was full of knowledge about the Latin Quarter and churches we visited. He made it interesting for my history-loving son and fun for my non-history loving daughter! That isn’t very easy!! We highly recommend him!

Carlos Gonzalez is an amazing guide. Very helpful and his English is excellent. He knows so much about the history of the area and is very attentive to what you want to see. The Latin Quarter is full of different eras of Paris, as well as the Sorbonne. Carlos is great at giving you choices and providing the context behind the building or statues or churches. We loved our time with him. Great afternoon!

Very enjoyable and informative walk through the Latin Quarter. This was a great introduction to the area, and will give you some ideas of things you might want to go back to later to see in more detail.

Carlos, a local, was a fantastic private tour operator. He gave us insight and customized our tour to end with our Next ticket. It's always nice to have a 'one on one' conversation with such a passionate and caring individual! What a great way to get in your daily exercise 'Steps' For the Day!

Our group all found Carlos' tour to be excellent. Softly spoken with a wonderful demeanour he showed us parts of the Latin Quarter and shared fascinating history of the area in a way that we would have not have managed if we had been on our own. He was accommodating to our interests and the diversity of our group and warmly tolerant to our laggers :)! Would definitely recommend.

Our group of four had a wonderful tour with Gelsomina. She was so warm and welcoming from the start, we immediately felt like we were with a friend. She is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Paris and also shared many "curiosities" along the way, which added an extra dimension to the tour. Her enthusiasm for Paris made her a delight to be with. Highly recommend this tour, and specifically Gelsomina!

Anukool was a great guide for our Latin Quarter tour. He had in depth knowledge of Paris and the neighborhood on every level. He answered all our questions and was able to adapt to our pace for the morning. We would highly recommend this tour and guide!!!!!

Isabel was terrific - knowledgeable, friendly, interesting, and very accommodating as we had some struggles which caused us to be late. Loved learning about the Latin Quarter, and if you don’t know the area, this is a great introduction. Very nice tour!!

Absolutely loved this tour! Our guide was VERY intelligent & knowledgeable about the sites. Visited places we would have not visited on our own. We learned SO much about French history, as well as cultural history that truly molded the world culture. Thank you to our WONDERFUL guide!

Our tour guide, Bibiana from Locals, was wonderful! So informative and fun and since it was a private tour we were able to stop for coffee and she lead us to where our next activity was meeting. I loved Luxembourg gardens and walking through the Latin Quarter

Anukool, our tour guide took the two of us through the Latin Quarter for 3 wonderful hours. He gave so much information and answered every question. He has a great personality which made the three hours fly by. We would highly recommend this Paris tour.

We were a family of 4 traveling to Paris. Isabel was super knowledgeable, full of energy and super fun. We felt so part of the Parisian culture after this tour.

Lucien was a great tour guide and we loved our tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Paris and was able to provide numerous insights on the City. We also saw numerous sites in Paris which we would not have known about without Lucien and he provided in-depth information on the sites we did know about it. I would also note he was very flexible as we were running late for the tour but this did not bother him. We would highly recommend this tour and Lucien.
