We enjoyed a great day with Julian, our guide. He was an excellent guide, ensuring we had the best experience possible. The hotel pickup and drop off certainly made things easier for us as well. 5 out of 5!

I was a little nervous about whether long drive would be worth the trip … it definitely was ! We had a great time. Herve was easy to talk to and very informative. Mont St Michel was simply stunning! Pictures on line don’t do it justice. I’m really glad we did this trip !

This was definitely worth the time and money!! My guide/driver was Hervé and I would 100% recommend him to anyone. He is very knowledgeable and we had great conversations!! Since this was a solo trip and we spent approx 13 hours together, it was so good to have someone to speak with. I know he also does other tours. I imagine if you are fortunate to have him as a guide for anything in Paris, you would be lucky. Also, he speaks 6 languages. Amazing!! His background is so diverse so the conversations we had were varied and we laughed quite a bit!!

A memorable trip to Mt St Michel. Our guide and driver Carlos was fantastic - so friendly, knowledgeable and informative, he made the visit much more interesting and meaningful. Didn’t need to worry about the long drive, as the day went by quicker than we’d anticipated. It was a magical trip - totally worth it!

Our driver and guide, Pablo, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable and engaging. He made a long day of driving go by quickly. Mont Saint-Michel is worth the trip, and I highly recommend this tour if you only have one day to explore outside of Paris.

Had a great tour, he was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging throughout both the long drive and the tour of St Michael itself. While a thorough trip from Paris, would still recommend - the castle was out of this world and the restaurant we went to for lunch was one of our favorites of the whole trip!

Fantastic experience for my family! This was my kids (12 and 15) first time to France. Mont St Michel was a favorite memory from my time studying abroad. Herve was exceptional and made it a once in a lifetime experience. He is unbelievably knowledgeable and has such a fascinating personal story. He was patient with extra stops for my daughter and took us to nice, clean rest stops. He knows all the secrets about navigating the island. We got to everything on the busiest day of the year! Burgers at the end were one of the best meals we had so far. TIP - bring a sweater, it's a bit cooler than Paris, we still needed sweaters in the August heat. Merci, Herve!

We travelled to Glasgow from South Africa and booked a car in advance. The service was impeccable, from coping with a day's delay in arrival to finding and returning a lost jacket after returning the car. Malcolm and his team did a great job.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the Mont St. Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and we were expertly taken care of by our guide Fabris from start to finish. While smaller groups may opt to travel via train, or even stay overnight, we had a packed schedule in Paris that required a different mode of transportation. Booking this with a private van and tour was absolutely perfect for my family of 7, including 2 senior parents-in-law. In a way, it felt a lot more personal to drive across the French countryside, as we got to see parts of France that told a more vivid story of the country's history. There were ample stopovers so the 3-4 hour drive did not seem so tiring, and Fabris regaled us with tales, anecdotes, and stories that kept us informed and entertained. When we got to the Mont St. Michel, there were heaps of people, both locals and tourists, but the tour allowed us a skip-the-line pass which was immensely helpful to cater to a relatively large group with seniors in attendance. (Fair warning: There truly is a LOT of walking and stairs to climb, as the abbey was built against the actual formation of the rock. So, elevation!) Every nook and cranny of Mont St. Michel, even against a shoulder-to-shoulder crowd of people, really felt like you were taken out of time and thrust back into the Middle Ages. Again, Fabris was a true expert in sharing the history and knowledge behind each wall, pillar, and architecture we walked through. You are given some free time to roam and eat as well, before heading back to your drop-off point. All in all, we were so happy to have had this experience to make family memories in Normandie, and the service was everything promised upon booking. The price may seem steep compared to other packages online, but by head, we rounded up to about €250~ each person. Tallying up the expertise of our tour guide, the comfort of van travel, the skip-the-line pass, and the actual tour of the abbey/monastery/chapel/village, it was well worth the cost! Can't recommend this enough especially if you are unable to take a train to Mont St. Michel, and kudos to Fabris for his kind attention and patience whilst we navigated every picturesque scene, sight, and landmark of Mont St. Michel!

While the journey is long, you will be amazed at the beauty of the sites. From the shops to the beautiful church, Mont Saint Michel is truly a wonder of the world. Our tour guide was wonderful and knew shortcuts to get through the town quickly.

Enjoyed the trip with my family of 7. Wish we had a bigger van as opposed to just a 7 passenger seater van as it felt tight for such a large group. Our guide Fred was knowledgable and kind and explained the site really well. Thank you!!

Our tour was offered by PARISMATICTOUR. The vehicle used was a Volkswagen Caravelle van that was spacious and comfortable. Our guide was Julian, who is specialized in art history and architecture. Traveling time flew by fast while we were engaged in conversation on diverse topics. Mt St Michael is a majestic destination and worth the effort. It is beauty, art, architecture, history, faith, and an escape that will provide leisure to your soul. Very much worth being able to enjoy it at your own pace. We also did a private 8 hr tour of the Palace of Versailles that was magical and regret not getting a private tour of the Louvre Museum. We were satisfied with our private tour provided by PARISMATICTOUR and recommend it without reservation.

Our family of 5 had a perfect day trip to Mont St Michel! Our driver, Philippe, was fabulous! He was wonderful at pointing out landmarks and sharing interesting facts about France. We were able to skip the lines and see the best parts of the abbey. We learned so much. After exploring and taking many photos, we were able to nap on the long ride back to Paris. I would highly recommend this outing! It was a magical, unforgettable day!

Over priced. Our driver drove like it was a race to get there as fast as possible often times going way above the speed limit and weaving in and out of traffic. When we got there it was a sprint to the top of the mountain and then our driver (I will not call him a guide) said he was going back to the car to nap. Don’t be fooled. There is no private tour or “personalization of the tour”. There are better cheaper options out there. Save your money on this one.

Bertrand was the best tour guide we have met in 10 years of European travel. He was knowledgeable in history, politics, philosophy, the arts and France. He should be a professor at the university!!

Mont st Michel was very very crowded due to a holiday. In spite of this our driver was marvelous. We were very happy with him.

What a beautiful trip! This was my mother’s bucket list pick. Done, checked off! A once in a lifetime opportunity for those of us that live in the U.S. . We had a wonderful tour guide and driver. Philip is the best! He is funny, calm, accommodating, friendly and very knowledgeable. It was all perfect! The drive took about 3 hours from Paris. We stopped half way to stretch and grab a quick bite. When we arrived, we walked about 100 feet to the tram that takes you on the bridge to Mt. St Michel. The village is beautiful with many shops and cafes. It took 400 plus steps to get to the top. If you have mobility issues, this is not a place for you. The village is do-able but not the walk up to the monastery. Thank you Philip! You made it very enjoyable! Merci beaucoup!

Julien (our Driver and Guide) was excellent, professional and knowledgeable! He made the travel to and from Mont Saint Michel seem much shorter than the expected 8 hours round-trip travel time. Julien was able to explain background history of the French and British, and how it relates to the Normandy region in general and of course he gave us the necessary background to explain how Mont Saint Michel was founded and how is has evolved to present day. His personal interest in history of architecture allowed him to further explain the historical architecture we witnessed at Mont Saint Michel! Thank you for a memorable and enjoyable trip!

Unknowingly, we booked our tour on a Sunday when the Monastery was marking the anniversary of its first dedication. As such, the Roman Catholic mass at the Abbey was presided by the Bishop of Pontoise, making our visit extra special. Our guide and driver Thomas was very knowledgeable and accommodating, and had a great sense of humor. Himself well-traveled, he had many topics of conversation he could cover. The round-trip of 8 hours on the road were easy and relaxing. This tour is definitely a less stressful way to visit Mont Saint Michel in one day.

First, we thank Phillipe for working to find our hotel as the address I gave the company was not transmitted completely therefore causing confit. But after we met, all was well. It’s a long ride but worth the journey if you only have one day. We received good info on the place but would have loved to have had the audio guide. Le Mont SM is a very special place. Do not miss it!!

Four of us traveled from Paris to Mont St Michel with Julien. This 14 hour day flew by!!! From pick up to drop off we were taken care of and taught fascinating history. Mont St Michel is a must to experience and Julien must be the one to take you and impart his knowledge.

Beautiful sunny afternoon at Mont St Michel. It was rainy when we left Paris in the very comfortable van. By the time we got to the coast the sun was out. Guide was extremely nice and talked in depth about the different parts of the island as well as the history of the area. Was nice having time for selves on the streets and having guide explain in depth the areas of the cathedral.

An unbelievable Majestic site! The little town was charming. Julian, our personal tour guide was amazing. He was a wealth of knowledge and a pleasure to spend the day with!

We wanted to get out of Paris for a day to see something different. This is probably one of the furthest you could get by car to and from Paris in 1 day with about 4h to enjoy the site. Car ride was very specious and comfortable with on board wifi which helps pass the time (3-4h each way). Mont St Michelle is just amazing - one tip - try to arrive late morning to see the monastery and then aim to get to one of the restaurants just before noon (they will suddenly become really busy and it will take about 2h to have lunch if you get caught in the rush - though 1h30 lunch with good table conversation is pretty standard in France). You can also walk from the bus area to the rock or visa versa in about 30 min if your used to daily walks. The climb up to the monastery involves about 15 min of walking up steps so be ready for that also!

We went as a group of 7 with Fred our guide through Prismatic tours. He did a wonderful job delivering excellent service. We travelled very comfortably in a Mercedes vehicle in our 4 hour drive (each way) to Mont St Michael. Fred clearly has done this tour many times before, was very knowledgeable about all the history not only of the abbey, but also of France. He is able to tailor the level of detail to what the group wants (don't hesitate to ask him for more or less info depending on what you and your group prefer). Overall we had a great time! Would recommend.

Fred, our guide and driver was punctual, courteous and very informative from the very start of our journey. it took little less than four hours to get to the penisula, and the van we rode going there was super comfortable with all the ammenities like wifi etc. Fred was even very acommodating regarding rest stops at your request or if you would like to make stops for pictures. Upon arriving at Mont Saint Michel, Fred gave is a detailed history of the place, you will simply be amazed of how it came to be. A mustry also is their traditional omelette, Fred can personally recommend to you a restaurany of your liking depending on your budget. I personally would recommend this tour. You are in good hands with Fred. Two thumbs up and one off our bucket lists.
