This a really interesting food tour in that we visited small niche establishments- a spice store, an olive oil shop, a few bakeries and a finish at an old cafe with a charcuterie board and a glass of wine. I really felt we learned a lot about the Parisian culture of food. Paulo was a fun and enthusiastic tour guide.

Labeled as being one of the most picturesque squares in Paris, Place de Furstenberg can be found in the heart of the affluent 6th arrondissement. The “place” is in reality a road, but the way that the surrounding buildings are placed around the central island, form a kind of courtyard, hence its title. This tour includes 10 food and drink tastings. Your local host has hand-picked each one of the tastings based on their love for food, and knowledge of the city. Enjoy only the most authentic bites the city has to offer!
A semi-circular plaza located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. It was built in 1779, and its concave-fronted buildings have not been altered since. A food tour in Paris would not be complete without the most typical and beloved dishes in town. Enjoy a bite of the ultimate classics tapenade and macaron and taste them in their true local flavor!
This tour is more than just food, it’s a cultural experience! In between food stops, discover highlights in the area for a well-rounded experience that will satisfy your appetite for Paris. From food, drinks, must-sees, and local hot spots; this tour has everything on the menu!

Fulfilling authentic experience all round, Iza went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time throughout
We thoroughly enjoyed our food tour with Gelsomina! It was a wonderful way to explore Saint-Germain-des-Prés while discovering and tasting so many hidden gems along the way. Gelsomina was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, and engaging, and she truly made the experience special. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris—it’s a fantastic way to experience the neighbourhood and its delicious food!
Great tour with Anukool! The meeting instructions provided were clear and helpful. We made many stops on this tour and tried a variety of foods. We each had our own serving at each place we stopped so there was plenty of food! The pace was good and the history that Anukool included was appreciated. I would definitely recommend this tour and Anukool!
Very knowledgeable, but not well organized. We enjoyed AnaKuul and his knowledge of history, but he was late arriving and was not well prepared.
Our guide Anukool was wonderful. He possessed a lot of knowledge about history and art as well as the food we were tasting. The mousse was divine! We had the savory crepes which we highly recommend and the salmon quiche! French onion soup, nicousse salad… yum!
Well curated selection of uniquely Parisian dishes from small business that value customer experience.
Fun, interesting & delicious. Our guide, Paolo was friendly & knowledgeable. The area of the tour was picturesque Paris.
This is a phenomenal experience. If you like trying different food in conversation with the locals, this is what you should do. The escargot, the quiche, the Macarons, the wine, and the other special goodies were all fabulous.
As food buffs we decided to try this tour as a birthday celebration for one of our party. Figured we’d walk a bit get fed some pre prepared “local” food and leave saying that was nice. We had picked a guide Gelsomina who had positive reviews but weren’t prepared for the incredibly knowledgeable friendly person who not only took us to true Parisian foods but also provided insight into history, culture and Parisian society through the years Truly a thumbs up experience.
Alexia was a terrific host. She was able to work with our dietary restrictions well. She was fun to spend an evening with, and we especially enjoyed the bar and the crepe stops. The tour was too heavy on sweet stops —we would have liked to try more regional foods: salads, vegetables, soups, with say two dessert stops at the end. Still a lovely evening exploring a lovely part of Paris
My family of 5 recently had a food tasting tour of Saint-Germain with our tour guide, Alpha. There was a slight hiccup with the meeting time so our tour started an hour late, but once it began, Alpha was a very gracious guide. She took us to many local establishments in Saint-Germain to sample classic French foods such as macarons, escargots, chocolate, cheeses, pastries and wine. We did not need to eat dinner after the tour, that's for sure. In fact, we went to places that I had on my Paris wish list (such as Le Bon Marche) so I was able to check a few off my list early. We enjoyed our tour very much, and would certainly recommend booking Alpha if you are interested in getting a taste of Paris.
Our food tour was great. We got to try many of the iconic dishes and dessert of Paris. There was a great variety of the items we got to taste.
Paolo was easy going and very informative. Our tour was about getting a small taste of Paris. We were so impressed that Paolo not only took us to the expected places to taste macaroons, chocolates, wine and charcuterie but also to some other less known delights of Paris such as species, olive oils, jams and my favourite meringues topped with chocolate. On top of this we received commentary of the architecture and history of Paris. Paolo was also great in helping plan our others activities to ensure we got the best out of our day. The tour was a Father’s Day gift for my husband and he had a very memorable day, thank you so much Paolo.
My wife and I got a private food tour with Paulo and we were spoiled to say the least! Paulo was beyond amazing and terrific, so cosmopolitan…we felt like friends hanging out together. We were taken to absolutely stunning local French eateries that just blew us away. Please ask for Paulo specifically - you will NOT be disappointed!!!
Our guide was great. Lots of history and information the route was helpful to navigate back to our next event
I’ll never book with Viator again… was just treated poorly. This tour guide was a nice guy and did a good job but do not book with these guys because if anything g goes wrong it’s on you.
We had a 6:00 PM food tour scheduled with a guide by the name of Alpha. After waiting until 6:30 PM and the guide never showing, we left and had to create a food tour on our own. If you ever had to book a tour with "With Locals" don't do it!!! The company closes at 5:00 PM on weekends and has no support after that. We tried calling the guide as well as the company to no avail. Viator was not much more help as the phone support said they would send the company an email. When I asked for a refund, the representative from Viator said they would have to appeal the payment to With Locals and could not assure me that I would receive a refund.
Anu was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable of the areas he took us to, considering he lived there, that was easy for him. Anu gave us a lot of history as well was we walked the streets with other locals in the heart of Paris. We stopped at many eateries of all kinds. From chocolate makers to charcuteries, everything was a new flavor for us to enjoy. The stroll through gorgeous parks and buildings was a real treat too. Thank you so much for such a memorable time Anu! This was a highlight of our stay in Paris!
Anukool was an awesome guide as he brought us around the neighborhood of St. Germain on a rainy afternoon. He introduced us to many sweets/pastries as well as savory crepes. We also sampled cheeses and meats along with wine. Throughout the tour he showed us St. Sulpice church and the Luxembourg Gardens as well, giving us history and commentary along the way. He is very pleasant, easy to talk to, and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend any tour with Anukool!
Andrea met us right on time inspite of the rain. We went to several places for pastries and ended up having snacks in a little neighbor place which was fun. I had the best macaron ever so how could I complain. It was a fun afternoon.
Alpha was a fantastic guide for exploring food and drink in Paris. She met us at our hotel and introduced us to the 5th and 6th Arrondissements and its food. Her tasting stops were varied and of excellent quality. We were quite stuffed at the end of the tour. The tasting tour with Alpha far exceeded our expectations.
Andrea was a wonderful guide. It was more than just about the food. Great to learn more about Paris, its food, traditions, history etc from a local. Delightful three hours!
Our travel guide named Jerome was phenomenal! He brought the city of Paris to life for us! And the food was quintessential Parisian food.
The Private food tour with Paolo was amazing. He knows all the great little cafe's and shops in Paris that aren't in the touristy area. The food was also amazing - great wine, cheese, crepes, macaroons...I would highly recommend this tour for anyone that wants to learn about French food and see the less touristy side of Paris.
Fun afternoon. She brought us to some interesting places but she wasn't very knowledgeable about wine or cheese.
Before Covid, we took a San Sebastian Pintxos food tour. It was fantastic. The guide took us off the tourist path and into the local food establishments. The food and drink was plentiful and delicious. And that is why we paid over $400 for 2 people for a French food tour. This French tour was deficient in food and drink. It became a 3 hour history lesson and none of the history was about food. For $400 we each got a small pastry, a plain crepe, a mini-quiche, and a small charcuterie and one small glass of wine. We had to wait in the local market for quite some time while the guide shopped and purchased the cheese and wine. For that price we could have enjoyed a lovely dinner. Our guide was very nice but did not seem to have a plan for food tasting. I cannot recommend this tour. It was a rip off.
We enjoyed our tour and especially our guide Paolo. He was very knowledgeable about French food as well as history and culture. All the tastes were delicious.
This was a truly terrible experience. Our guide had limited knowledge, and was not able to answer even basic questions about the food, culture, and area. We were hoping to learn details about the food, culture and history, as well as get a couple of recommendations for food/wine shops that we could check out on our own time and she was unable to do any of these things. Tour ended early and was overall waste of time and money.
It was a lovely your with lots of sweet treats. Jay was wonderful and shared so much about the city.
The tour was so amazing, we got a taste of good wine, beautiful cakes and great French cusine. Our guide Alpha was a smart and kind woman and she made us feel like we were out with friends.
My sister, myself and our two 16 year olds had a wonderful, relaxed, friendly morning with Gelsomina. We chatted, tried a wide variety of food and walked around the St Germain area. Gelsomina was careful about checking dietary requirements and adjusted for our vegetarian. Portions were very good, don’t eat first! Our 16s both enjoyed the experience very much as did their mums. Thank you Gelsomina, this was a perfect start to our Paris break.
Alpha was amazing!! Introduced us to food we otherwise would not have tried. Shared a lot of information about Paris and the food culture. We really enjoyed our tour.
Dynamic humorous your with Jay as he adapted the conversation to history, interesting facts and food delights
Gelsomina was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and the conversation was great. My husband and I had an fantastic time trying foods and learning new things about it and the area. She even had us comfortable enough to try escargot at the end of our trip, something both of us were extremely unsure about. We never felt pressured to try anything we didn't want to and she was very helpful finding options for nonalcoholic drinks for me. The only thing we regret was eating a later breakfast before our 1pm tour! The tastings were more than we expected, quantity of food wise, and we sadly couldn't finish everything we were offered. Definitely suggest eating light before it or not at all if you can manage it!
Jay led an amazing food tour that was both delicious and educational. Jay is very funny and knows so much about French history which elevated the tour to another level. He even performed some last minute customization when we asked to get more wine.
Andea, our guide, was very pleasant and enjoyable. He had a lot of knowledge regarding history and political workings of the area. We were taken to a lovely cafe, a pastry shop and creperie. My only suggestion would be for the guide to have a proposed itinerary of the ten stops rather than ask me to provide suggestions for places I wanted to go. We were expecting 10 stops with “tastings” of various items, but we only actually made it to three or four.
Walking around St. Germaine de Pres with Psolo is like strolling with an old friend, except this friend knows all there is to know about food, culture, and everything Paris. Paolo is a joy to spend 3 hours with. An unforgettable experience
Our tour with Alpha was great! Interesting and informative. Great food stops while also getting good lessons about Paris. We highly recommend this tour.
We spent a great time with Paolo who was very knowledgeable and passionate about the city he loves. He took his time explaining history, customs and Parisian perceptions and attitudes. The food tasting was well worth the money and it was more than we expected and could possibly eat. Highly recommend this tour!
Gelsomina was an excellent and personable guide to explore the taste treats of Paris. We are a family group of six, three of whom are vegetarians. Gelsomina tailored our tour to meet everyone’s needs and interests. Pastries, chocolate, macarons, cheeses, charcuterie, wine—all specifically chosen to illustrate the best of Paris and nearby regions. We especially appreciated Gelsomina’s kind and personal style providing transparent insight to compare our family and country with her own. Delightful experience in every way!
What a wonderful experience. Our guide, Alpha, was SO knowledgeable and made the tour very fun and stress-free.
More than just a food tour… the tastings are great but what makes this tour so good is Alpha’s insights into Paris lifestyle and so much more. What better way of getting to understand the city’s culture, attitudes and background than with fine patisserie and charcuterie! Alpha was superb. A passionate Parisian she speaks great English and has such a positive outlook. Highly recommended!
We had a great time touring and eating/drinking our way through Saint Germain. Ton of fun. Tour guide was awesome.
Thanks to Jay our family of 4 had an enjoyable food tour on our first day in Saint Germain. Jay knows his history and made the tour fun and interesting. And the food and drink choices were perfect, with our favourite stop at Le Moliere for crepes.
Our guide Alpha was wonderful, took her time with us and really engaged us on this food tour! Plenty to eat! Also brought our adult daughter with us and she said, “ —Alpha, I was so happy to be shown the tastes of Paris by a well-traveled local! Your worldly views give you a fresh perspective to share, and I’m thankful my parents and I toured with you! Thank you for a perfect day in Paris and for helping us with our French. “
Ww loved our guide Jerome (Jay). He was so knowledgeable. We loved the historical information about Paris and the French nation he shared along with the food tastings. An extremely enjoyable day.
This tour was the BEST part of our time in Paris. Gelsomina was kind, informed, friendly, and a pleasure to spend several hours with. We were a family of eight ranging in age from 8 years old to 65 and we all loved this experience. A great variety of delicious food mixed with interesting history. If you’re thinking about booking with Gelsomina do it!
We loved our time with Jerome! Wonderful food and conversation. We learned so much and had fantastic food. We would happily join Jerome on another tour!
Our tourguide was nice but it wasn't the tour that was described here. We booked a 10am timespot, but we were told that nothing opened until 11 which was frustrating becuase we would have booked a different time. We got to try some good food, but not the places that were listed. One one stop, we got a tart, a quiche, and a croissant which was nice, but wasnt what we though we would be doing- trying different places. Maybe the places described were closed because it was too early... The chocolate mousse was amazing and the food we did get was good, just not what was described. Our stops were: 1) a caramel, 2) a bakery with a a tart, a quiche, and a croissant, 3)a creperie, 4)mousse, and sitting in Luxembourg Gardens while eating, and 5)a charcuterie board.
