This is one of the best tours we took. I was afraid my 16 year old granddaughter would get bored so I booked a private teen tour for us. We had Amy and she was so amazing. They did a Who stole the Mona Lisa mystery tour. Our granddaughter is still talking about the tour. Amy took us all around and introduced us to such wonderful art while playing this hunt with our granddaughter. You can tell she loves what she does. She even went into the book store to help her look for a certain artist she wanted to get a book on. Amazing tour and Amy is soooo wonderful.

I was very happy that we booked this tour. All other tours are boring but this one kept my family engagrf. I was impressed with our tour guide Marcela. She was very knowledgeable and our kids had a great time with her. The Louvre is massive and we would have gotten lost. She took us to the important spots and answered all our questions. Thank you Marcela.for a wonderful experience!
We did the Louvre Teens Tourin April 2026. Amy was our host and she was wonderful. Our two boys, 15 and 11, (and the adults) we're interested in everything Amy told and showed us. Amy was very insightful about the history of Paris, the museum, and the exhibits. The game and associated story were also very interesting. It was the highlight of our trip.
Sebastian did a fantastic job with our tour. He came prepared with a fun scavenger hunt/ mystery activity for the kids that led us through the major pieces of work in the Louvre. At each piece of work, Sebastian regaled us with interesting details and history about the art. When we stopped to look at something not on the itinerary, Sebastian knew about that, too! He was a font of knowledge, and our kids loved the fun format. Visiting the Louvre without a guide would have felt overwhelming- with Sebastian, we made the most of our experience.
We actually used Meet The Locals for several tours on our trip and they were all amazing. We started with Gavin in London and walking tour of the city. Then we spent a few days with Laurine in Paris as well as Clo for a baking class. Everything was top notch and super engaging for my four kids. Highly recommend.
I was dragged to art museums as a child and traumatized by the experience of having artsy fartsy BFA mother and architect father and dreaded museums growing up. My children are 10 and 11 year old Americans glued to Dance moms and video games and they were really quite not looking forward to the dreaded word “tour”, despite using the magic words “game” they KNEW it was a museum. However, Sebastian our tour guide, (Bonjour Seb!!!) was able to skillfully hold their attention and keep them engaged masterfully while giving the parents a small opportunity to enjoy the art. We deftly maneuvered the museum hitting all the high points with great insight, history and detail. Well done!! Merci beacoup!! Tres bien!
We loved Cindy. She was great with my teens. Showed us the highlights with as much or little information they wanted. She was great for families.
This tour was the highlighting our trip. Amy was wonderful with our two teenage daughters, she provided insightful information, moved at a pace that kept us engaged, and provided knowledgeable information about the art we stopped and learned about and about the Louvre itself. I would highly recommend this tour. Our daughters love it.
Amy thank you for making this experience for my kids one of the best memories for them of Paris. They left with a desire to return to the Louvre and excited to have learned so much about it. This is priceless for me!!
This was an enjoyable way to move through the Lourve- especially with Tweens. I’d recommend for families.
I think without Phillipe we would still be wandering the halls. He managed to entertain 2 teenagers who really just wanted to shop and the 2 adults by showing us all the key art in the museum. The quiz was entertaining and tough enough for the adults to scratch their heads! Phillipe was very knowledgable and passionate about what he does!
We opted for just a guided tour rather than a scavenger hunt because the Louvre was so crowded during our visit. But we were able to see the highlights and get a good overview. Cindy was a knowledgeable guide.
We had a wonderful time with Meet the Locals. Sean was our guide for three tours—Versailles, Louvre, and Eiffel Tower/tuk-tuk. I can’t recommend this tour company enough especially for families traveling with teens/kids and grandparents. It was no small feat keeping my girls, age 10 and 13, and my 76-year old mother engaged and having fun, but Sean took such good care of us. We had a blast! Thank you, Sean! Thanks also to Albane for organizing such great tours to us. We feel so lucky to have had tours with you all!
This was an excellent way to run through Louvre for our family with 3 teenage kids. I didn't think they would get into it but even the 17 years old did and they loved the storytelling that came with it. Educational, fun and factual. I think they will remember most of the pieces now vs. just walking around wondering to some audio on random pieces. We stayed after to do a tour of other places so plenty of time to do what you want in the largest museum in the world. Kudos to Doina for keeping the kids engaged.
Our tour of the Louvre was great! Christelle was able to engage both kids (10 and 14 y/o) with the treasure hunt to find the Mona Lisa. The Louvre is an overwhelming museum for those that are not educated in the arts and this tour gave us the opportunity to appreciate the amazing art that it holds.
When you travel with family, specially teenagers and small children you need the superpowers! Meet the locals make you as a mom and dad enjoy a trip to Europe with the tour guides, the most flexible drivers and the experiences that allow the team to give you great options, and advices to make every day magic! if you don't speak the language or your kids don't like a certain food, no problem! they got you covered! They have made our family vacation memorable, exciting and fun. But the best of everything, is that they give you the time to enjoy family time!
Wow! Laurine and our private "escape room" teen tour of the Louve is and will remain one of our very favorite experiences and memories of our children's first trip to Paris. It was worth every penny. Laurine is the consummate professional guide, knowledgeable and nimble as she led us through the colossal Louve with grace and ease. More importantly, she was so attentive to our interests and attention spans and made what could have been an overwhelming and frankly, boring experience for the kids, an experience that was fascinating, exciting, and great fun-- a truly exquisite experience and memory that we will cherish forever! Thank you Meet The Locals and Laurine. (p.s. My 55-ish y.o.husband said after this tour, that he will always take the teen tour-- kiddos or no kiddos ;))
Meet the Locals group was incredible with our family while in Paris. We had a Louvre Tour with fun experiences/information for our kids and interesting historical details for the adults. We also used MtL for a Chocolate Tour around St. Germains which was as enjoyable as it sounds. Best part of all was the guides who were extremely patient, well informed, and gracious with their time. When one store on the chocolate tour was closed for 15 minutes, she independently ran back at the end of the tour to bring back the mousse for the group. We also mentioned to her that we would be going to a neighboring city in France and she provided a detailed email that night about the city sights before our arrival there. Such a generous, helpful person and it helped set the tone for our experience in Paris.
We have not yet completed our stay or our tours, but I already know that MTL has overdelivered so much and I have no doubt that they will continue. We received so much assistance and consideration from Dominique before we ever left the US for our first trip to Paris. She helped to create a perfect itinerary for our trip that accounted for our three kids (a tween and 2 teens). From the moment we arrived, Dominique was on top of everything. She truly is Super Woman! We met Yaelle for our Notre Dame/tuk tuk/Eiffel Tower/Siene cruise tour and she was also amazing. She took great care of us, was very patient and accommodating, and even helped us secure reservations at a great restaurant for the end of the night. 😍😍😍 The next day, we met Sebastian for the teen tour of the Louvre. He immediately engaged the kids and was so entertaining and informative that they stayed off of their phones for the entire two hours (a record, I assure you). Tomorrow, we head to London for a day that Dominique put together for us and that promises to be fabulous. We are also scheduled to do a walking chocolate tour and Versailles tour before we leave, but I have no doubt whatsoever that MTL will not disappoint. DO NOT HESITATE and do not look anywhere else. Meet the Locals is THE premier provider for Paris tours, bar none.
Our guide Amy was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and took care of our 13-year-old daughter (and me) in a fantastic way. She was very knowledgeable and had made very good preparations. Smooth pickup and a very pleasant experience in every way. Brilliant!
A very good experience! We were in two groups: an adult and a teenager. Cindy and Laurine made two separate visits so that adults would be interested in the visit and children in interactive games. Detailed explanations and never boring! Really great! Thank you for taking us on this tour!
