Our guide was Olga. She arrived with her driver to our hotel on time and we spent the day touring three castles from Loire Valley in central France. Olga was a wealth of information giving us details in the car before our stops as well as during the castle tours. She answered all of our questions. Olga knew the best places for photos and often took photos of us for our memories. She made sure we were comfortable during our travel, had bathroom stops when needed and provided excellent advice for lunch. My wife and I were quite pleased and would gladly recommend Olga as a guide!

Natalie was amazing.. funny and personable and very very knowledgeable about the history of the castles and families… we learned so much! A longggggg day but a lovely one. We were very pleased with it all!
Such a fun day! It was so nice to just sit, relax, enjoy the sites and learn lots of fun facts while being driven around safely through the countryside. We always enjoy these types of tours, and David and Roman made it extra special for us! Magical!
A perfect day in the Loire Valley – thanks to Ilya and Roman. On November 23rd, we took a tour of the Loire Valley châteaux – it was one of the best organized trips I've ever been on. Guide Ilya combined deep historical knowledge with a lively delivery: his stories were interspersed with jokes and interesting facts, making the history accessible and memorable. Ilya skillfully answered the group's questions and tailored the route to our interests. Driver Roman was a model of professionalism: careful and calm driving, punctuality, and assistance with luggage and boarding. The transfers were comfortable, and the time spent exploring the châteaux was optimal. The tour was organized without unnecessary fuss, and everything was thought out down to the last detail. I recommend this team to anyone who wants to gain knowledge and a good mood in one day.
Diana provided great dialogue for each of the castles visited and working with the driver provided a wonderful day of touring for my wife and I.
Olga is a wonderful tour guide her attention to detail is impeccable. She pointed out details regarding coins with Diana De Poitiers' image on them that I never would have found out about. Her enthusiasm and knowledge made the day unforgettable. Things I was amazed at: we passed through tiny villages with ancient Tudor style buildings, fields of sunflowers, she pointed out the past cafes that served food quickly in Amboise. She pointed out important details at the castle where Leonardo Da Vinci is buried. The mini van was equipped with bottled water. We visited an amazing vineyard underground in caves that shipped wine to the USA. Olga was not only gifted in her knowledge of the history of the three castles, she helped us decide which features to prioritize seeing.

We had a wonderful guide and driver. Everything we saw was beautiful.. Unfortunately I came down with a stomach bug before we went to the wine tasting, so I cannot review that part of the tour.
We had a wonderful experience on the Private 3 Loire Castles Live Guided Tour with Wine Tasting from Paris. Our guide, Olga, was incredibly well-versed and passionate about the history and architecture of the Loire Valley. She brought the stories of the castles to life with insight and enthusiasm. What stood out most was her attentiveness and empathy. It was an unusually hot day, and my daughter wasn’t feeling her best. Olga immediately noticed and kindly accommodated our request to shorten the tour without making us feel rushed or like we were missing out. That level of care made a big difference and allowed us to still enjoy the highlights comfortably. The wine tasting was a lovely and a highlight of our day—well chosen and informative. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Olga as your guide!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience on this all day tour. Our guide David, who spoke English quite well, provided us with a wealth of interesting information about the areas we drove thru and the castles that we visited. Each castle we visited was more beautiful as we walked thru them. David was very enjoyable as a guide and he took the time to take us to the best photo opertunitys and even took many photos of the two of us. Our driver Roman, was an excellent driver. He smoothly drove us thru the traffic in Paris and out to each of the castles that we visited. He was very courteous and opened and closed the passenger doors for us. On our return to Paris, Roman found a quick path back to our hotel, even though the was a Taxi strike going on in Paris. Both my wife and I were very pleased with our experience and we would both recommend this tour to anyone that we know. Great job!
Excellent tour of the Lorie region castles and history to cap off our Paris honeymoon! Our guide, Marie, was very courteous and knowledgeable about the history of each location and spoke English well. Our chauffeur Akhmed was an excellent driver and made us very comfortable with our belongings. Know there is quite a bit of walking and stairs during the tour, but there were plenty of stops and places to rest while Marie talks about the history of the buildings.
Awesome tour with David! The castles were super cool. He taught us so much. Wine tasting was fun too! Would do again.
We were picked up on time and spent a memorable rainy day touring two French palaces and one castle. Our guide, Ilya, was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant and the driver handled the wet and rainy weather with ease. My family and I are glad we took this tour and would highly recommend it.
We toured two castles in Loire Valley with our guide, Olga, who we found on TripAdvisor. We had some time restrictions that Olga was very accommodating with. Most importantly, she used our time well both in the selection of castles we saw, the winery and the history she provided. We all went away feeling as though we had learned so much! I love traveling with a knowledgeable, well-researched guide. Olga did not disappoint!
Olga and Yunli took good care of us. Olga is fun, knowledgable and very helpful. We had a great time!
Very knowledgeable. Talked a lot. We were early but he was never at the car at the arranged time. Good driver.
Olga was a great guide. She was very knowledgeable about all of the castles and was able to give us information we wouldn’t have know if we didn’t have a guide. We really enjoyed the trip one tasting and sent a few boxes home. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to see castles in the Louire Valley
A very enjoyable day! Our guide Olga led us through three very different castles and told us the history and stories behind them all. A stop at a winery that has been in the same family since 1508 was fabulous! Olga was a perfect guide for the day- she even left us with a silly selfie on our phone when she used it to take photos of us at the top of a castle. I would highly recommend this tour!
Our guide, Helen, and our driver, Alex, took great care to see to it that we were able to get as much out of our visit as possible, considering that they had to slow down their pace to accommodate our old legs, knees, ankles, etc. Helen was incredibly knowledgeable about French history as it applies to the chateaux that we visited. She was also personable and very easy to talk with and ask questions of. Alex was ready when we needed him to be. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to know more about the chateaux of the Loire Valley than a standard group tour can provide.
Our guide Valentin extended the magnificent experience by navigating the tour leveraging his knowledge nurtured through his academic background of studying history and his experience as professional ballet dancer, surely adding more depth in explaining on transition of French monarchy and its cultural impacts in association with the sites we visited. The excursion to 3 castles under May Loire weather was beyond description, which experience was magnified by the wine tasting experience providing the opportunity to enjoy Loire wine produced by the local winery. We ended up with buying 3 bottles on site while also asking for future shipment after return as the quality and the reasonable price surely would justify paying extra shipping cost. We cannot thank Valentin and the driver more for our very memorable and fabulous experience!
What a fantastic day we had! Our driver was polite, efficient, and got us everywhere safely. Our guide Elena was lovely. She messaged me the night before (make sure you have WhatsApp) and they arrived right on time to pick us up in the morning. Elena walked us through each castle and gave great historical context for everything. She took many great pictures of us along the way. We were able to see so much in one day! We never felt rushed but were able to keep on schedule to see everything. The order of the castles is perfect and Amboise was lovely for lunch. Elena asked us what we wanted to eat then took us straight to the restaurant and got a table for us. The winery tour was very neat as well. Overall, well worth booking! The car was very comfortable and bottled water was provided. They even had umbrellas for us to use and we had forgotten ours. Merci beaucoup!
We booked this tour to the wrong location. We meant to go to the champagne region not the city of Champagné. We realized this immediately when we met our driver and when we told him he was immediately argumentative and unhelpful. His English was not great so we could not have a conversation about what we wanted to do about the situation. Instead of being kind and patient while we figured out what we should do he was very pushy and rude trying to just get us in the car so we could go somewhere we had no interest in going. We had already paid for the trip in advance and it was our fault so we understood that we couldn’t get our money money back but he was so unpleasant about the whole situation we decided to just get out after driving a few blocks because we did not want to spend 5 hours in a car with this man.
We had an excellent experience on our private tour to Chambord, d'Amboise, & Chenonceau with Valerie & Roman. Valerie was extremely knowledgeable about the history and culture of France & was very kind and engaging. Roman provided a comfortable, safe ride.
All of the castles were beautiful and very different. The village of Amboise was also a fun visit. Valerie was so knowledgeable about the history of each castle, had fun anecdotes and really brought it all to life. The family winery was just okay. It was a simple tasting room and there were 10 other people there. I would have thought for the price of this trip the winery would have been a private tasting and the wines a bit better. This is no reflection on Valerie but more for Viator to improve the expereince given the price.
WARNING: Clewel Travel is corrupt. Or at least their tour guide Olga is seriously compromised. We had pre booked and prepaid their three castle, wine tasting all day tour. We were being picked up at our hotel at 7:30AM. She confirmed in text the night before. Around 730 she texts saying another party being picked up before us was running late. Then another text saying she be an hour late so have a relaxing breakfast. Then another saying she was cancelling. Even an hour after that TripAdvisor had no knowledge of her cancellation. Clewel seems to have filled our prepaid spot with a more convenient pickup or perhaps outbid and did the tour without us. DO NOT TRUST CLEWEL TRAVEL. You will be left on the curb and a ruined day. FRAUD.
Great tour! Our guide was knowledgeable and pointed us in the direction of things to not miss. The castles were spectacular & our tasting at Caves du Pere Auguste was awesome!!
Our tour of of the Lorei Valley was an amazing experience! Valerie was a knowledgeable, friendly, and fun tour guide, and Yunadi was an excellent, safe driver! It’s not an easy feat to navigate the streets of Paris on Bastille Day, but he navigated those streets safely and like a pro. Valerie shared history and interesting stories about the palaces and those who inhabited them throughout our drive. Our family of six would love to do another tour with both Valerie and Yunadi!
Valerie, our guide, was excellent. Tremendous historical knowledge. Wine tasting was great at a 500 year old winery.
We had a very lovely day with Valerie and our driver Roman castle hoping in the Loire Valley. Valerie was so incredibly knowledgeable and shares that information in a friendly and approachable way. We felt very lucky to have her as our guide for the day. I highly recommend Valerie for your your trip!
My wife and I were celebrating her birthday and our wedding anniversary. We took the full day tour to the Lorie Valley to visit three Chateaus. Valerie is very knowledgeable and explained the history of all three in a way that it brought the past to life. Also, Roman got us to all the different locations safely and made sure we had plenty of snacks and drinks. We would recommend Valerie and Roman to anyone looking to book their next tour.
Chenonceau and wine tasting were highlights. But all 3 castles were unique and interesting. Wouldn’t have wanted to miss any. Valerie was a knowledgeable, professional, and engaging guide. Beckham, our driver, got us around safely and timely. Long, wonderful day spent in charming Loire valley. Book it!
Wonderful trip with Cyrus to the gorgeous Loire Valley. He was quite knowledgeable about all the castles and recommended an amazing restaurant in a small little village that was superb!
