I’d been to Pere Lachaise once before but this was a much more enjoyable experience on a small group tour. Very knowledgeable guide with a lot of behind the scenes information that made the visit much more enjoyable.

It was a great tour of the cemetery with an awesome tour guide, Maria. She walked us through the main parts of the cemetery at a comfortable pace, which was perfect for our 76-yeas-old grandmother. Maria shared many interesting facts and stories about the graves of significant people and their lives, the history of the cemetery, and her own experience studying its history. It was very informative and enjoyable!
This was a lovely experience! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, and easygoing. We had a mixed group of abilities, ages, and nationalities, which he handled with aplomb and generosity. The cemetery is quite large, but we felt he did a good job showing us the highlights, the unusual and even a few things our group was specifically pleased to see. A GREAT way to spend an afternoon seeing a different side to Paris.

There wree two gates. One is a big main entrance but another one is a small gate. My Uber driver droped me off in front of small one but my guide was waiting for me in front of main entrance. My guide finally finded out where I am and led me kindly. And he've guided all of famous tombs and explanied about them very detail . I was very happy and I'd like to extend my thanks to him. He was very kind and friendly.

A thoughtful, informative tour intermixing both comical and tragical stories of the cemetery and the city. Tamar, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable, eloquent and had a great sense of humor. She did wonderful work to keep us avoiding the crowds while showing us all of the most famous graves and monuments; additionally Tamar was able to tweak the tour to our preference for the graves of scientists without missing out on the main story! Hugo’s knowledge of the cemetery was exemplary. My daughter and I enjoyed his stories and excellent historical anecdotes. I walk slowly with a cane, and he was very considerate, making sure that I did not trip over tree roots and broken tombstones.

Our Père Lachaise tour was facilitated by Hugo who expertly guided us through the huge cemetery. We were booked in for a small group tour but lucked out as it was just the two of us on Hugo's list for the afternoon. We toured gravesites where the mortal remains of notable people now rest, learnt about their remarkable lives and how they dented human history. We also learnt about Père Lachaise's evolution to become the world famous cemetery it now is as well as the memorials located within its walls. In Hugo we had a very friendly, easygoing, knowledgeable guide with a passion for history who was eager to customise the tour just for us. Hugo was able to encourage and engage in discussions and enlighten us about French history as well as the trials, tribulations and successes of French and Parisian society. Plenty of walking done, plots covered (or uncovered as the case may be) and history to unravel. It was never a dull moment and we would absolutely do something like this again.
My family including a teen really enjoyed our tour of Père Lachaise Cemetery with Florent. He made it interesting and accessible to all of us. We were able to marvel at the wide scope of individuals buried there, as well as understanding the context of their lives in history. Highly recommended!

Our guide Hugo was a wealth of knowledge. He had so many interesting stories about many people that are buried or memorialized here. The Cemetary is VERY large and the old sections were not organized well but with this guide we were able to easily navigate to interesting people and sites. Highly recommend!

Truly an incredible tour! We booked a private one since my mother is in a wheelchair and didn’t want to hold a group up. Francois was an expert of the cemetery grounds and routed our tour so it was easier on the wheelchair. I absolutely love story telling and history. Touring Pere Lachaise cemetery is a must when visiting Paris. Our tour guide Georgia was so friendly, knowledgeable and explained the history behind each grave we visited with such passion and enthusiasm. Both my daughter and I loved not only all the history but walking through the cemetery itself with the help of an amazing tour guide. My wife and I enjoyed this walking tour so much more than we expected. Yes, we wanted to see Jim Morrison's grave and did. The walking tour provided so much more history and context than we would have been able to gleam on our own. We were fortunate to have François, a local Parisian who had so much history and stories to share and woven into our tour. What a historic place and way to spend a couple of hours appreciating both the cemetery and Paris and some of its most historic, colorful and most permanent citizens!
