Reviews
The museum and exhibition was impressive. Garden area with sculptures underneath trees were almost too unpleasant to visit as trees were diseased and area dusty. Got bitten by insect. Tripadvisor fee added to the ticket was too high. No queues in the morning.
Beautiful and impressive gardens with display of art!. I would recommend including an audio package as an option.
We are visiting and were referred to take our engagement photos there. While I understand that there’s restrictions on photography when it comes to inside the museum, the security guard was extremely disrespectful and ruined our engagement photos. This was my fiancés first time experience Paris and was supposed to be relaxing, the security guard was rude, yelling at us. After taking the photos in the garden , my fiancé and I went back into tour the artwork. There were several photographers with digital cameras taking photos and that same security guard who yelled at us didn’t event bat an eye at others. The security guard did not need to be disrespectful while we were enjoying a happy moment.
If you secure entry from a third party such as Viator be sure you get a separate ticket for the audio guide. We ended up paying for the audio guide twice because we only had one voucher. We recommend the audio guide as it takes you through the artist's life and works which gives the exhibit rooms and garden meaning. The collection is extensive and even includes a room of rare pieces by Camille Claudel. The museum although not air conditioned is still worth a visit for the glimpse of understanding of Rodan, of the infancy of the art form the biasis from the acceptable to the controversial.
This is a review of the deal - NOT the Rodin museum. Although this deal looks attractive in TripAdvisor it’s actually not as good as it looks. The adult entry price if you pay at the kiosk is €14 per person, so to buy in advance to avoid the queue looks like an attractive option - particularly as we purchased with a TripAdvisor 30% discount. As a result we paid about £70 for 7 people, which looks great. However, what it doesn’t say in the blurb about the tickets is that at the museum, if you are an adult under 25 years old, then entry is free and you don’t need to book. This applied to 3 of our group which meant we paid in advance for 3 tickets that we didn’t need. In the end, with the TA discount we paid slightly over the odds but without the discount it would have been pretty irritating.
I had read online that the lines could be long and it was best to skip the line. That didn’t end up being necessary as the line to purchase tickets was only 2 people on a Friday in August at 11:00 am. But with that being said having that ticket helped me relax about worrying about the line. And as far as the museum, we thought it was great. Would definitely recommend.
It was worthwhile to visit. Beautiful sculptures and gardens. If you are in Paris definitely a must do!! My friend from USA recommended it and glad my family and I did it!
Make sure to check all exhibits are open and its not under construction. All of the top floor (first floor) was closed due to the heatwave and half the garden is under construction so they put some of the statues in one tiny area. Unfortunate we only saw half the museum but made the most of it.
Getting the ticket in advance was a great idea!
Fantastic collection, cuuration and background information. Welll planned and maintained garden setting.
Getting the tickets was easy and we skipped the line to get into the museum. It could not have been an easier process.
The Artist is obviously exceptionally talented and we are collectively fortunate to be able to view his work. As for the experience, the day we visited the area temps were in the high 80’s to 90 degrees (f) and the museum is not climate controlled. It was exceptionally hot and humid forcing us to leave earlier than planned. These valuable works of art deserve a better repository and should be treated equal to other galleries.
Very accessible, mid size museum with lots of historic gems. Inside was quite warm and had an unpleasant smell.
You are a front for the official site at the Rodin. I purchased my tickets and put them in my wallet. Got to the museum and was told that what I had was a voucher. NOT TICKETS. I would not use your service again if my hair was on fire and you had the only fire extinguisher.
Loved the Museum. Spent about 2 hours there. Felt that Trip Advisor extra cost was not worth the money.
Interesting walk through Rodin’s life as the founder of modern sculpture. This former hotel became his home and is surrounded by rose gardens and his sculptures. Nice experience and easily through in 90 minutes.
I was surprised statues were in such a beautiful garden. And, I didn’t expect to enjoy this so much.
Amazing sculptures throughout the gorgeous back gardens. I loved seeing the process used before completing the final sculptures.
Excellent layout and well maintained gardens and house gives life to Rodin’s work and life.
Beautiful museum and grounds. Very informative. We had no idea Rodin was a painter and that he worked in so many media.
Beautiful easy to use ticket great garden and restaurant inside price was great and so was the food, recommend highly
I couldn't get my voucher so had to buy a ticket there but Viator offered me a refund. It was stressful. The museum itself was wonderful... nice outdoor and indoor exhibits.
Ticket not needed since no line mid-day during the week. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Our tickets didn’t work. We had to buy museum tickets on site after spending $41 tickets through Viator. The museum was wonderful. Unfortunately , we paid twice!
This service is awful. It’s a corrupt scheme of confusion. I would not recommend this to anyone and please do not use.
We enjoyed the museum especially the garden. It was a nice quiet stroll looking at sculptures and enjoying the weather. I could have skipped the interior all together.
We three seniors needed extra help with stairs and such. Staff members were very kind and accommodating.
When the official website is not working use this. They send you a confirmation and then the day before they send you the tickets
They don’t exchange the tickets at the museum; we had to buy a separate ticket. Over all we paid double the price
If you arrive early, there’s no need to buy a ‘skip the line’ ticket. There was hardly anyone there! The garden - with sculptures - is the best part of the museum. Beautiful!
Visiting the Rodin Museum in Paris is a truly unforgettable experience. Nestled in a serene garden setting, this museum offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s bustle while celebrating the genius of Auguste Rodin. The beautifully preserved Hôtel Biron, which houses many of Rodin’s most iconic sculptures, feels both intimate and inspiring. Walking among masterpieces like The Thinker and The Kiss in the elegant sculpture garden is pure magic—each piece seems to come alive in the natural light and leafy surroundings. The museum also features lesser-known works, sketches, and personal artifacts that give insight into Rodin’s creative process, making the visit feel deeply personal. The staff are welcoming and knowledgeable, and the grounds are impeccably maintained, perfect for a reflective stroll or a quiet afternoon with art. Whether you’re an art lover or simply seeking a beautiful, contemplative space in Paris, the Rodin Museum is an absolute gem that captures the soul of French artistry.
This a voucher for a ticket, not the ticket. I purchased but did not receive the correct document for a ticket by the time we got to the museum 2 hours later. Could not cancel because it was less than 24 hours . Be sure you are buying a real ticket!
Could not use ticket. Had to buy again.Guide was very nice trying to access the tickets. Said this happen often
It is a lovely small venue which exhalts his work; go early to avoid the crowd and enjoy the gardens as well
Stunning museum , we took our time, the exhibition was amazing. The curation was excellent. Staff were helpful and very welcoming
Viator delivered tickets on time and Rodin was good and not crowded. Garden could have better signage
Beautiful garden! Sculptures very nice and perfect! I was very impressed. Lovely paintings Van Gogh, Claude Monet etc.
Beautiful setting, well chosen pieces (it’s not the 4 seasons as advertised, but many different adagios, and only a couple from Vivaldi). The chairs could be more comfortable and it was very warm inside, even at 9pm. Would recommend, worth the price.
One of my favorite museums in Paris! To ensure you can easily gain admittance, have the PDF with barcodes that is emailed to you the day prior ready to show.
You didn’t send the right bar code so they wouldn’t let us in. The woman there suggested I phone you and you sent me the correct code immediately but it delayed our entry.
Stay away from paris odyssée. They sent me a link to tickets that djdnt work and i had to buy tickets and thry refused to refund me. Buy tickets at the muséum waste of time with them AWFUL SERVICE
Excellent collection. Audio tour is quite helpful. you can also have a art guide take you through. The grounds and the museum are extremely well maintained. Mind boggling. One of the great sculptures of all times. The French are very proud of Rodin(they should be)
Fabulous artist. Fabulous museum. Had a little trouble getting the ticket in the app. Could be clearer as to how to access it. It confused the museum as well.
It is a unique experience, excellent works of art that enrich a lot, the visit is worth it 100%.
Enjoy the sculpture garden. An open-air museum in the centre of Paris! The Rodin Museum is located near the Tomb of the Invalid with Napoleon's tomb and is within walking distance of the equally interesting Quai d'Orsay museum. A striking number of repetitions of similar sculpture groups help the visitor to form a toe image of the visual language of this famous sculptor from the 19th century The Rodin Museum is more than a museum: it is an experience in which architecture, garden, sculpture and nature come together. For those who are interested in classical (figurative) sculpture or want to escape from the bustle of Paris, this is a must. The garden is the absolute highlight, combined with the museum room you get a well-rounded view of the work and the living environment of the sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840 - 1917)
A remarkable museum. Works of intense beauty both inside and outside. Friendly ticket office welcome.
