Pablo made this small group food tour fabulous ! He specializes in small group and lets us help pick starter and then shared mains along with a nice bottle of wine .we started at one stop with charcuterie and wine and walked to the next beautiful restaurant . Ended with crepe stop. Pablo speaks great English and made the tour fun. I have done many of the name brand tour companies and his tour was as good if not better with our input on tastings and small group of 7 friends.

My guide for this trip was Ingrid and ahe explained to me at our meeting that one of the four venues has closed and we would be having two meals at one place instead. That was disappointing - why not book another venue ? To make things worse Ingrid was coughing badly and explained that she was on antibiotics ! At the venue for the second tasting we jointly chose a soup and a main. We then proceeded to share these meals despite the fact that she was sick. She told me to take at what I wanted if the soup and then she would have the rest - dipping her spoon into the soup that I had just eaten. Who does that ??? Totally inappropriate. Meantime she was eating her half of the mean course and the. Passed it over to me to eat. I naively went ahead. The next day I was to start an 8 day tour around the French Riviera for which I paid nearly $6,000 Australian dollars. I became seriously ill with the same coughing virus and was told by my travel agent that I would not receive a refund if I cancelled. I went on the tour. Was isolated and wore a mask on the bus and opted out of dinners because I was sick and so as not to infect other people. I was miserable and felt guilty about even being on the bus with some other passengers in Their 80’s. Travelled all the way from Sydney to Paris and was looking forward to the rest of my trip and it was completely ruined. Have we not learned from Covid. Ingrid should have canceled our tour and had some consideration for her clients. She also should not be sharing meals - probably to save herself some money, whether she is sick or not. I am totally disgusted and disappointed. I have now sent two messages to Trip Advisor and have heard nothing in response. Never again. MY
Great experience. Pablo is a fantastic guide
Pablo was a great tour guide. It was just me and my husband. He was very knowledgeable and interested in talking to us. The 3 places we went the food was delicious. First stop was a food market, 2nd a restaurant where we had French onion soup and beef Bourgogne and 3rd was crepes. It was a fun 3 hrs
Excellent food picked in really excellent bistros, covering multiple French dishes. A good walk through the Marais & Isle de St Louis. Natalia, our guide, was lovely and we enjoyed her company that afternoon.
Excellent walking tour with Pablo. He was very knowledgeable about the food and the Le Marais area
The district selected was very nice. The tour guide Iman was very pleasant. The crepe dessert was amazing, handmade on the spot. The other restaurants were very good choices.
Pablo was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable but also lovely company. The food was amazing - plentiful and very authentically French. Cheese and charcuterie, escargot, beef bourguignon and crepes. All delicious!
It was a wonderful experience and a great way to experience some of the culture of Paris. Natalia was a terrific guide and very friendly.
Our guide was friendly and experienced in explaining the food culture of the region and encouraged us to try local favorites (which were delicious!). She told us history of the area. She was friendly to the wait staff. Would definitely recommend!
What a great experience to have a private walking in food tour on our first day in Paris. As all the other reviews have said, Pablo was an incredible guide. He was able to show us and talk about history, architecture, “must do” things in an overall joy to talk to we’re looking forward to more to come.
Pablo was delightful and full of historical information. It was a good value. We enjoyed the stops for food and wine and the food was good quality. We were quite full after the tour . We would request him again for a walking tour when we are in Paris! Many thanks Pablo!
I just did this private food and wine walking tour in Le Marais quartier. It included three food tastings at a gourmet-level charcuterie, a light early dinner at a local brasserie and desert at a crêperie on the island of Saint Louis. Food and wine were amazing but probably what I really enjoyed was not only how knowledgeable my tour guide was (Pablo from the Canary Islands) but also that his people skills. If felt like a friend was showing me the city. The merchants of the places that we visited treated him so nicely that it's evident he does a good job. I highly recommend Pablo and this tour when in Paris.
Pablo was a wonderful guide! Nice conversation and food! Very knowledgeable ❤️ loved the crepes! All was well curated
Pablo was wonderful. Very friendly great sense of humor felt as if we were with a friend Really good food in all the restaurants we visited
Very fun area to explore and a taste of French food. The guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and very pleasant
Armstrong was the best guide. Took in the places we had already been to and changed up the tour on the fly so we didn't repeat things. All the food was great and the conversation even better. Strongly recommend. They also take into concern any dietary preferences or restrictions
This experience was FABULOUS!! It was made fabulous by our guide, Armstrong! He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the food sites he selected for us were top notch! We’d been to Paris before but never to this neighborhood…a must visit! Armstrong took us on a wonderful “walk about” of La Marais…a very bohemian part of Paris. All the restauranteurs we dined at were very gracious and accommodating. I can’t recommend this food and walking tour enough, for enjoying a lovely evening in Paris!
A spectacular tour, trying new foods, old favorites and delicious wines. Saw areas of Paris we’d not yet been to. Our guide Pablo was so knowledgeable and even more personable— we felt like old friends by the end of the tour. Highly recommend this!
Sammi was great! His calm demeanor and knowledge fit our group's style. The food and wine was yummy.
We had a great experience walking around Paris, learning the history of the area, as well as eating the food.
An interesting way to sample varied food at different bistros/cafes but limited in terms of what else the experience gave us. Our guide was changed at the very last minute - we were expecting to meet Susan but Sammy turned up. He was very nice and easy company but we didn’t feel that we had much of an experience beyond tasting some good French food. We were only taken to 3 places against the 4 in the description although Sammy did offer to take us to an extra one but recommended we stay at the third and have dessert there rather than going on for the crepes. Also we only had 3 drinks rather than 4. Nice area and food was good but poor value for money in terms of the overall experience.
Armstrong was great tour guide, showed us some great restaurants and seemed like a nice guy but we only had 3 of the 4 glasses of wine before he left.
We had so much fun with Susan! The food was delicious and versatile. We learned a lot about French food culture and even did some sightseeing. Susan was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you very much for a very pleasant evening.
Sammy our guide was very knowledgeable personable and kind. Everything we ate was delicious and he gave us recommendations for other types of dining experiences.
Waited for an hour at the address provided but nobody showed up. The address is on one side of the river the cafe on the other. Tried to call the number went straight to the voicemail, sent an email no response. Don’t waste your time/money.
A grad was an excellent tour guide who brought us to great food and provided fascinating information about Parisian cuisine and food culture at each of our stops. He was a smart and friendly host who was a blast to spend a few hours eating around Le Marais with.
Armstrong was a wonderful host to our private family party of 6 on this tour! We thoroughly enjoyed all the food and wine/drinks and appreciated his educational and personal stories about the Le Marais neighborhood and its food. We enjoyed learning about the architecture and history along the way as well. Escargot was delicious (though I wasn’t sure if I’d try it at first), and the Beef Bourguignon was simply fantastic and filling. Learned about some fun wall art along the way as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Armstrong!
Acharf, our tour guide, tailored this wonderful foodie experience with our appreciation for amazing food & our desire to experience the world class Parisian food and drink. We will definitely be contacting Acharf for private tours for our future trips to Paris.
This food tour in the Marias section of Paris was very good. Excellent food and a wonderful tour guide name Sammy. This young man was super kind, very polite and extremely cordial. The food was really delicious but Sammy's personality is what made this a 5 star tour. We loved the food but were even happier to make a super friend with our guide Sammy. I recommend trying this food tour and hopefully you have a guide like Sammy.
We had such a great time on this food tour with Sammy! It was the perfect mix of amazing food, interesting history, and just a really fun way to spend an afternoon in Paris for first timers. We tried escargot, beef bourguignon, French onion soup, and meats and cheeses, and had both red and white wine along the way. Everything was high quality and super tasty—definitely things we wouldn’t have known to try on our own. Sammy was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about French food and culture. He also shared a lot about the Marais neighborhood, his love of Paris, which made the whole experience feel more personal and special. The tour was well-organized and paced nicely. We never felt rushed, but also didn’t waste time standing around. It felt very safe, and the fact that it was just my husband and I was so special that we could ask all the questions we wanted! It was also a great value for what we got—multiple food and wine stops that left us full and happy. The walking route was easy as it can be, however, the Paris sidewalks what they are can be challenging if there are mobility issues. Highly recommend this tour if you love food and want to experience a more local side of Paris! I also hope that you get Sammy!
Susan was very knowledgeable and enjoyed upbeat and sweet personality. We had a great time and food was delicious.
We had a magical evening with Susan as our guide around Le Marais. The food and wine was very good but the history and quirky information about Paris we learned during the tour was also amazing. We walked a little and learned a lot, then stopped for a good size snack and wine and repeated. Was a really nice way to see the sites with breaks to enjoy the food and people. Susan knew a lot about history which we loved learning about. She also knew the menu and wine lists at the restaurants and the recommendations were spot on. I’ve had tours similar before that weren’t as good because the guide wasn’t as knowledgeable. Would recommend for sure.
Susan was great! Very knowledgeable and great guide! The food and drink were flexible and representative of the area. Great experience!!
Susan is a wonderful guide who educated us in facts from history and modern times. She was being shadowed by her brother Sammy who we enjoyed meeting.
Susan was a great tour guide, we enjoyed it really much. Beautiful Restaurants and the best Food ! Would recommend, 10/10
The views were amazing and took lots of photos. Theo, our driver, was very interesting and really knew his history. So worthwhile.
You should ask specifically if you don’t want to have snails or foie gras included… If you have been to Paris frequently, this is not the tour for you.
Tour was very lovely! Eugenia was very friendly and had good information about the places we visited, recommended good wine and we enjoyed the dishes
We had an outstanding food tour of Paris with Achraf who was a delight throughout the event. He was personable while providing us local flavor and insight as he took us to several restaurants around Le Marais district. He provided interesting details about the neighborhoods, the history and food. He was patient with questions and was upbeat and informative the whole time. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone who likes a little local ‘flavor.'
Rodolphe the guide was fantastic so I would request him if possible. Wonderful selections of food to sample but I recommend taking your time at each place if possible to enjoy the wine at leisure. Definitely a better experience when the weather is nice!
My guide was fantastic and I truly enjoyed our walking tour of the Marais along with delicious food and wine!!
We had a wonderful private guided tour of the Le Marais district. We were actually pleasantly surprised that this was a fully private tour (we're used to "private tours" meaning small groups - not a dedicated guide just for us). Our guide, Achraf, knew the area well - and shared both historic and cultural knowledge. He was patient and friendly. We would recommend this tour for anyone that wants to eat their way through Le Marais.
Our tour guide Achraf, also known as “The Sheriff” met us at the appointed time and place in La Marias with a smile. He made us feel comfortable immediately. He described what the plan would be for the next four hours as we began our walk. Our first stop was at a wonderful bistro where we sampled some of France’s best cheeses along with a glass of Viognier. He explained where the various cheeses were made and where they were from in France. Did you know there are 1300 varieties? From there we went for a walk through the local market to our next destination where we sampled some excellent escargot with a lovely Rhône style wine. As we walked he described the area and its history with ease and he engaged us in conversation showing interest in our thoughts and views about food and wine and life in general. Our last stop was at Bistro de la Place just a few meters from Place des Voges. The boeuf bourguignon was some of the best I ever had this being made from beef check. The profiterole with the chocolate Ganache was wonderful. We ended our tour at Place des Voges where Achraf gave us more French history to consider. It was a great afternoon with a truly nice and humble guide. Worth every penny.
We had a wonderful time with Achraf - he told us lots of interesting stories and took us to great places to eat and drink…he was a great guide!
I regret booking this private walking food tour of Paris. Our guide, Achraf, was very young and shockingly uninformed about French cuisine and wine. He has only lived in France for four years, and it showed. The inaccuracies he shared were staggering, particularly his false statements about the Burgundy wine classification system. He confidently claimed that wine in Burgundy isn’t measured by Grand Cru or Premier Cru—an absolutely untrue and basic mistake for anyone even remotely familiar with French wine. It was shocking and frustrating to hear such misinformation. The stops on the tour were equally disappointing. We began at a coffee shop to sample mediocre charcuterie instead of exploring any authentic or quality meat and cheese shops. The supposed highlight of the tour—Beef Bourguignon—was also ruined by his bizarre claim that it’s made without wine, which is completely false and dismisses a fundamental part of the dish. If a guide doesn’t know something, it’s far better to admit it than to spread blatant falsehoods. This experience felt more like a poorly researched stroll than an authentic and informative food tour. Save your time and money and look for a tour with a guide who truly understands French food and culture.
We had a wonderful time and learned a lot. Ashraf was a wonderful tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and taught us many lessons throughout our tour. Thank you!
Aschraf was fantastic. Knowledgeable, patient (my mom has a knee issue and can’t walk fast) and experienced. I would highly recommend and hope to do again one day!
We were on a ladies trip to Paris and this was our first excursion of the trip and By far the best! Sherif was our tour guide and this young man was not only so personable, accommodating and friendly, his knowledge about the food and the different districts of Paris was second to none! We were bombarding him with questions and were stopping to window shop and he couldn’t have been nicer. But the food we sampled? OMG it started with a cheese and meat platter filled with the most delicious meats and cheeses and the bread! don’t expect to lose weight on this tour! then we had escargot and onion soup. Snails may not be on your list but in France you have to taste. The onion soup was out of this world. Next beef bourguignon with the most creamy mashed potatoes and finally profiteroles probably the best ever! All courses in all restaurants paired with delicious wines. These are not your typical tourist locations but truly authentic french eateries! If you go to Paris you need to go on this tour! Thank you Sherif for an amazing afternoon filled with great food and even better company!!
Our Guide, Shariff was the best! We all had a great experience and lots of fun. The food and locations was the best!
