Discover the Musée d'Orsay at your own pace and explore one of the world’s premier art museums. Housed in the historic Gare d'Orsay train station, this museum boasts one of France’s most extensive collections of national art. While the museum is renowned for its vast collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings, it also features sculptures, photographs, and decorative arts. Among its many treasures are masterpieces like Renoir's *Dance at le Moulin de la Galette*, Cézanne's *Apples and Oranges*, and several self-portraits by Van Gogh.

Reviews
I was surprised how simple and easy everything went. We bought the passes the night before and sure enough we didn't need a timed entry. This was very helpful because we were dodging the weather and wanted the ability to visit a few other places around Paris first. The museum was wonderful... obviously the famous works were a little crowded but nothing crazy.
The Musée D’Orsay is one of our favourite Museums and this visit, as all others in the past did not disappoint. I would not book through Viator however as the effective cost is more than twice the fee if you book through the Museum directly.
I was a little worried reading some reviews but we got our tickets and got into the museum with ease. I give it 4 stars because at first I booked the night visit. It is very deceiving. They don’t say it up front and when you read all the info it say you can enter all day. Apparently it does show night visit when you click it but I completely missed it. Luckily I looked at the email right after I booked it and noticed it there/ and I booked it a little over 24 hours in advance so I was able to cancel it still amd rebook the right one- for a lot more money but at least I was able to do it. The actual ticket didn’t come until just a few hours before the visit - after the time you could. I longer cancel- but that was what the instructions said - so I just took a screen shot and that worked to get in. Just pay attention to which entrance. We went up to 2.2 and walked right in with no line. Once inside the museum was busy but I also like the suggestion of going straight to the 5th floor and to start there. We had a great experience and would do this again. We were grateful because all the regular on site tickets were sold out.
Best museum for Renoir, Monet, Degas, Van Gogh, and other impressionists. There was a Mary Cassett also.
The museum is spacious & not overly crowded. There’s a cafe with an outdoor terrace. The art is beautifully displayed.
Entry was quick and easy. The museum is incredible! It is must see for anyone who loves the Impressionists.
Personally, this is my favorite museum in Paris. A beautiful collection of artwork in a fabulous building. Like most major attractions in Paris, it is crowded, so bring your “aloha”, even off-season (in late October). Go early if you want to miss the crowds. Most of the negative comments seem to be associated with how tickets were purchased - can’t comment on that as we bought directly from museum and the process was super easy.
The museum visit was a wonderful experience. It is an art lover's feast - paintings, sculpture, furniture, drawings...Monet, Cassat, Pizarro, Degas, Renoir, Rodin and so many more artists.
What an easy way to get tickets and avoid lines! Having the information on the phone made it simple.
Easy process, my ticket information was sent to me by way of Whats App. 24 hours prior to the date selected.
Amazing beautiful art. Crazy busy.
Viator and its wide assortment of pre booked tickets made travel options easy ! We were thankful for this app on our trip!
Wonderful experience. Huge beautiful collection of art
If you want to show up any day and any time to Musee Orsay or you forgot to get tickets and the advance tickets are all booked up, this is the ticket for you. How is it so great? You pay double but for me it was worth every penny. You can show up to Orsay without a ticket but that line is much longer. How do you want spend your time in Paris? In line or enjoying the paintings? I know my answer.
The Musée d’Orsay has a great collection and the building itself has been beautifully restored. Be sure to check out the clock window. It can be very crowded, especially in the Impressionist exhibits. You will need the PDF ticket for entry.
We were skeptical of this purchase because everything we saw online indicated that the only valid tickets to the museum or for timed entry. But we had no issues with this ticket and it made our day much more convenient to have an open ACCESS ticket.
Definitely get an entry ticket ahead of time! You will get inside so much more quickly and will have more time to explore.
Outstanding site. This is an extension of the Louve and we thought more enjoyable. Not as crowded and wonderful art. Easy to get around and the converted train station is absolutely beautiful. This was a gem and a delightful surprise. The fee was fine and we spent 90 minutes there, and would suggest more time if you have it.
The waiting time is long. Even if u booked your ticket online. If it’s cold and rainy it’s difficult
It is so worth having an entry ticket…the wait time in a line up is much shorter! The ticket tells you which line to be in, and signs outside clearly delineate each line. Everything was made easy.!
Easy access to the museum, make sure to get in the ticketed line, it is much shorter. Go early and download/listen to the Rick Steves Audioguide if you don’t rent the museum audio.
Must see museum. Absolutely beautiful and the sculptures are like nothing I’ve seen before. The Mary Cassatt exhibit was excellent and dining at Cafe Campana was lovely.
One of my favorite museums in Paris.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Everything went smoothly. Just follow the directions from Viator regarding the voucher!
Beautiful art and far less crowded than the Louvre. Loved the evening option for a rooftop cocktail. If you love impressionist art, it’s a must see.
The place is awesome! The attention I received from the tour operator was extraordinary!! I strongly recommend
Fantastic experience if you appreciate the impressionists and those influenced by them. Beware you're sharing the space with many others.
The Musee d'Orsay has a wonderful exhibit of Impressionist artists housed inside a building that is worth seeing itself. The "skip the line" tickets we purchased did not save us much time on the day we went. Arriving 30 minutes early to the museum did have us at the front of the line, but we would have also been at the front of the line to purchase tickets. Since later that day we received a message from Viator that our "next day" tour of Sainte Chapelle has been cancelled we are scrambling to see if we can get tickets to see the stained glass any other way and have become wary of Viator knowing a tour and tickets can be cancelled at the last minute without warning and without help rebooking.
This museum is a must for anyone who enjoys Impressionists painters! The beauty of the museum itself is impressive also. The only downside is the smell: it smelled strongly like sewage.
Great experience seeing so many of the top impressionist artworks in one location. We saw almost everything and it took hours, so excellent value for money. Great that we arrived early as we were able to head straight up to the Monet, Degas, Renoir section and still comfortably see the works without being too crowded. It is located really close to the metro station so very accessible.
Excellent collection of Impressionistic paintings. One of the highlights of our time spent in Paris.
The museum is amazing, and is my favourite place to visit in Paris. However, we could have just shown up and bought a ticket for less than half the price that Viator charged. I feel that we were somewhat scammed because we paid so much.
This ticket is for entrance any time/day needed. It was easy to find the entry spot and the process was smooth. Used bar codes provided for our group of eight.
Beautiful museum, worth the visit. Not overwhelming. Easy access. Very pleased with overall experience.
We were unable to attend due to the Metro being closed due to the riots. I was very disappointing. I would have loved to have visited.
It was a great experience! 24 hours before the event a link is provided to print the tickets. If on travel, I recommend you take a picture of the tickets, just in case wifi is down or inaccessible.
The museum is wonderful and definitely worth a visit if you are interested in art. The booking process was a little confusing but worth the effort. We tried booking directly through the museum, however it was sold out for the only day we could visit. After seeing that Viator had tickets available, I made the purchase and was sent a receipt with a barcode stating that was not the ticket to the museum. Another email was sent from the museum with the actual tickets.
Got a last minute ticket for Musee d’Orsay museum. Not only was it cheaper than on the museums website, it was also a priority ticket so I got immediate entry at any time! Great deal 😊
Legit tickets for otherwise sold out time. No problems. Museum is amazing. Recommend larger than thought
I had purchased a guided tour of Notre Dame. It was canceled 2 days before. I had purchased 2 tickets to the Orsay Museum but I could not access the tickets. There was no way to reach Viator. It was a terrible experience and I will never use Viator again.
The museum holds several pieces of beautiful art, sculptures and the Mary Cassel exhibition was really worth seeing.
Ease of booking thru’ viator. Museum is great. Keep min 2 hrs for the visit. Do some homework before you visit.
we went on a weekday morning and it was jammed even though we had tickets. Like many, I was eager to see the impressionist and post impressionist paintings, but here's the problem. There were too many people of course, but the situation was made much worse by people taking pictures of the paintings, and even having friends take pictures of them standing by a picture!! While the crown in front trying to see might be 3 o4 deep! You can't see over the phones being lifted in the air, and really I don't think they actually look at the paintings at all. I suggest banning phones. Also guide groups should perhaps have their own time slots. I was really disappointed! The museum was going to be a highlight of my transatlantic trip and while I loved the paintings, I wasn't able to enjoy them as I had hoped. Maybe time slots required, students who need pictures get their own time? I would have come at any time given me, if I had been one of a reasonable number.
Amazing venue! The statues were incredible and the paintings as well. On the 5th floor go outside have a coffee or drink and enjoy the view of Paris!
We were two minutes late and couldn’t find the tour
This is an extraordinary special place. Everything was exquisite and inspiring. We would definitely return here, only wish we had more time. The clocks were an extra special enjoyment!
It is crowded but very good the 5 th floor is the best so if you have limited time go directly there
Enjoyed visit to Musee d’Orsay. Lots of exhibits to see there. Had a tasty lunch at a reasonable price at the 5th floor cafe
One of the world’s best museums with exceptional works by impressionist artists, but the elevators are small and hidden.
