What a fantastic way to experience the magic of Paris at night! We booked two vintage motorcycles with sidecars, and the entire experience was absolutely brilliant. A very special mention to Sebastian, who was outstanding! What a character! Friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, with a wonderful sense of humour, he made the evening so much fun. He was also an excellent driver, and we felt completely safe throughout the tour. Sebastian is a real asset to the company! Our second driver, whose name unfortunately escapes me, was equally lovely and professional. The champagne was excellent and added that extra touch of luxury to an already memorable evening. We did have one little hiccup when one of the motorcycles suffered a puncture as we arrived in Montmartre. Unfortunately, we had to leave that motorcycle behind, but the company organised a replacement, allowing us to continue our adventure. These things happen, and it certainly didn’t spoil our evening! Exploring the beautiful streets of Paris at night, taking in the illuminated landmarks from these wonderful vintage sidecars, was an experience we’ll never forget. Overall, an absolutely fantastic experience, made even better by the wonderful drivers, particularly Sebastian. Highly recommended! If you’re visiting Paris, put this experience on your must-do list. You won’t regret it! Five stars from us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Le Louvre is the world's largest art museum and a historic monument in Paris, France. A central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine
It is the starting point of the rue de la Paix. Its regular architecture and pedimented screens canted across the corners give the rectangular place Vendôme the aspect of an octagon. The original Vendôme Column at the centre of the square was erected by Napoleon I to commemorate the Battle of Austerlitz. Stopping for pictures
The Palais-Royal, originally called the Palais-Cardinal, is a former royal palace located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. The screened entrance court faces the Place du Palais-Royal, opposite the Louvre. In 1830 the larger inner courtyard of the palace, the Cour d'Honneur, was enclosed to the north by what was probably the most famous of Paris's covered arcades, the Galerie d'Orléans. Demolished in the 1930s, its flanking rows of columns still stand between the Cour d'Honneur and the popular Palais-Royal Gardens.
The Galerie Vivienne is one of the covered passages of Paris. Located between the Palais-Royal, the Paris Bourse (stock exchange) and the Grands Boulevards, the passage enjoyed considerable success until the end of the Second Empire.
Live an incredible experience and stop in front of the famous Palais Garnier which is a 1,979-seat opera house, which was built from 1861 to 1875 for the Paris Opera. It was called the Salle des Capucines, because of its location on the Boulevard des Capucines, but soon became known as the Palais Garnier, in recognition of its opulence and its architect, Charles Garnier. Stop for the Picture.
Originally introduced as a seductive dance by the courtesans who operated from the site, the can-can dance revue evolved into a form of entertainment of its own and led to the introduction of cabarets across Europe.
The street Orchamps leads up the Rue Lepic, across from the Moulin de la Galette. Tourists do not venture there. An oasis of calm in the middle of the city. From the house, we see all of Paris. On the sky cut the wings of the Moulin Rouge
The Basilica is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in Paris, France. A popular landmark and the second most visited monument in Paris. Going for a walk inside the church to enjoy the architecture and taking pictures
Driving through the village of Montmartre, enjoying the most romantic district of Paris.
The Triumphal Arch is one of the most famous monuments in Paris, standing at the western end of the Champs-Élysées at the center of Place Charles de Gaulle, formerly named Place de l'Étoile. The Arc de Triomphe honours those who fought and died for France in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars, with the names of all French victories and generals inscribed on its inner and outer surfaces. Beneath its vault lies the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier from World War I.
Most iconic monuments of Paris, explanation of the architecture, and history. Stopping for pictures, enjoying a walk around with the view. Champagne Time in front of the most famous monument of Paris
Les Invalides, formally the Hôtel national des Invalides, or also as Hôtel des Invalides, is a complex of buildings in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, France, containing museums and monuments, all relating to the military history of France
The quarter has several famous cafés, including Les Deux Magots, Café de Flore, le Procope, and the Brasserie Lipp, and a large number of bookstores and publishing houses. In the 1940s and 1950s, it was the centre of the existentialist movement (associated with Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir). It is also home to the École des Beaux-Arts, the famed school of fine arts, and the Musée national Eugène Delacroix, in the former apartment and studio of painter Eugène Delacroix.

Wonderful driver and tour that I would recommend to anyone as an exciting way to see Paris. The driver was great and the sights were great
We ended our trip to France taking the Illumination tour of Paris at night with the retro sidecar. It was a fun and informative way to see the city at night. We enjoyed a champagne toast at the Eiffel Tower just as the lights came on. Our guides Frank and Emanuel were friendly, knowledgeable, and great drivers navigating the busy Paris streets at night! I would definitely recommend this tour.
My wife and I could not have asked for a better start to our Paris trip than our sidecar tour! Our guide Gio was exceptional: he found us after I provided a difficult pickup location and provided knowledgeable commentary and great conversation as he shuttled us all over the city. We stopped by the Arch du Triomphe and did a longer stop by the Eiffel Tower for champagne, pictures, and chats. At the end of our 90 minute adventure we asked Gio for dinner recommendations by our hotel and he took us straight to a great brasserie, overall an awesome experience!
An experience well worth the price! My young daughter rode in the sidecar while I rode behind the driver. I will warn you, sitting at the back requires some daring and good leg muscles, but it was the highlight of our trip. We got to see amazing sights, have a lot of fun, and meet our wonderful driver who was full of information, advice, and warm kindness. I'm bad with names, but he is a teacher and his expertise with children showed in how well he explained things to my daughter and made the trip fun for us both. If you can, don't miss this experience!
Flexible, relaxed and fun. We traveled as grandparents with our daughter and granddaughter, and the guys were very engaging and pleasant showed us this beautiful city.
Roads were closed because of the Olympics so it was difficult to get back to our hotel room. Instead of going around to get us there, he dumped us off to walk. We had to call an Uber and pay more money to get back to our room.
Chris and Aristide were amazing guides on our evening tour of Paris. Something I’ll never forget, would highly recommend!
We had so much fun . Great group of guys took us on an amazing ride! So many giggles and smiles from our group. Highly recommend
The whole experience, the sidecar and motorcycle were my wife's highlight of our whole 7 day tour. It was great 👍. Wild, wild wild.
This was THE BEST experience I have ever had in Paris. I booked this tour for my 7 year old daughter as it was her first time in Paris. Roman and Louis our drivers were much more then just drivers they were ambassadors to Paris. As we sped through the streets they told us about the history of the monuments and the people who built it, the neighborhoods we drove through. They accommodated us by speaking English very clearly. It was part rollercoaster, part tour, all fun! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to see Paris for the first time or in a unique way. Worth every penny and then some!
Great way to see Paris! People really noticed the vintage cycle and waved a lot. Very unique experience. Timothy was tres bien.
The best way to see the city! We knew it would be a fun tour, but didn't realize how much more we get to see and learn. The sunset tour was amazing and gave us some of our favorite photos from the trip.
It is only fair to say that as the passenger in the sidecar I was comfortable, however my partner as pillion passenger was under significant stress trying to maintain his position on the bike. The reason was the lack of back support and a single bar on to which he held for dear life. We had arranged to trade places at the halfway stage but he was adamant I would struggle to hang on. We are both over 65 but fit and active and have ridden motorbikes but this detracted from the pleasure of the experience. The trip through Paris was exciting. Our rider asked us what we wanted to see of the many attractions available, explaining there would not be time to cover our first selections. So we eventually opted to select the top 3 and asked him to fill in the remaining time with appropriate sights. Being picked up at the hotel was helpful, our helmets were provided although it is a case of the nearest fitting helmet which for me meant I spent all the trip holding the helmet up to prevent it covering my eyes. The sidecar is comfortable and a rug was provided which was necessary. My partner was a little surprised at the lack of back rest or frame but took hold of the bar between him and rider and prepared for a pleasant, informative ride. He didn't get it; he could not hear the commentary, he was as mentioned grimly hanging on. The stop in Montmartre to see Paris light up at dusk while drinking champagne was a lovely moment. We rode part way up the Champs Elysees, sufficient to spot the Arc then veered to the left and headed for the Eiffel Tower. As it was now fully night time the light show on the tower was spectacular. At the end of the 2 hour trip we were dropped near to the hotel but not knowing the area we took a few minutes to get our bearings, this was a rather disappointing end. Given this almost 2 hour trip cost £360 I am unable to say it was value for money. However it was exciting and for me in particular an experience I would not have missed.
We took the Paris by night tour on the first day of our trip. It was a great way to orient ourselves with the city so we felt more familiar with the streets during the rest of our stay. We cruised around Montmartre and had champagne at sunset in that picturesque setting. Great time!
This was the absolute best. Had an amazing time. The guide was fun and really knew his history of this beautiful city. I would do it again!
Guys were exceptional! Flexible and really did a great job of showing us parts of Paris not possible on a bus. Easy going, safe and the added cherry on top was champagne toasts along the River Seine! Family friendly and felt very safe all throughout the trip. Great way to see Paris!
Sorry, promised this review 5 months ago. Guides: Gillaume, Max, Eurard. Don't miss this opportunity. We had a lot of fun. I would recommend early in your trip to give you a little taste of various areas and places you will visit with more time on your stay in Paris. Although, it also fits at the end of the trip, because it was the highlight for all 5 of us in Paris. We were not trying to make others jealous, but you can see the faces on so many tourists as you whiz by and their faces are like "Why didn't we think to do this?" If you have kids/teens, this is an absolute must. My wife does not like motorcycles, so I kept this a surprise and she was elated and had a great time along with the rest of us. Tour guides were knowledgeable and fun. They even booked our dinner restaurant which was on our to do list.
I bought this trip as a gift to my parents and they were over the moon and this is what they say: This is the best experience and surprise we ever had. We want to thank our guide, I believe his name was Alex. What a great experience, worth every penny. The views were spectacular, especially for us because it was our first time in Paris. We really want to recommend to all, it's a cool and fun experience to have. Alex thank you for being so friendly and kind showing us all of the views, you are truly amazing and made our trip even more special, your stories are fun to listen too! Good luck!
This is one of the most fun tours we have ever done. This trip was a graduation gift for our son. He had a total blast. Our son’s guide was Max and close to his age. They shared similar interests and really seemed to connect. Max went out of his way to make the experience extraordinary. My husband and I had Alex as our guide. He was so much fun! There is nothing quite like being on a motorcycle or in a sidecar in the open in a city like Paris. They took us to a quiet spot to drink champagne and see the unforgettable Eiffel Tower. Once in a lifetime experience and can’t say enough good things about Max and Alex. 10/10.
It was all perfect! Max navigated the intricate kamakazi-like Parisian traffic patterns like a professional driver, and spoke eloquently and respectfully to 2 "older" ladies who enjoyed his company immensely. I would recommend this tour especially to anyone ,who, like us, was about to experience Paris for the first time.
Perfect way to see the city, my driver Louis (not sure of spelling, sorry!) was a local, knew the city well and was able to take me to some places I hadn’t seen yet. Champagne at sunset on the steps of Sacré-Cœur was beautiful :) For a solo traveller you pay the price of two people, so it feels a little pricey for the time you get, I did a similar experience on a Vespa in Rome and it was $100 cheaper for twice as long, much better value. Still enjoyed the experience in Paris though, if you’re looking for a treat on your trip then this is one to enjoy for sure.
Me and my partner had an absolutely amazing time touring around Paris at night. We will definitely be back and doing this again, sightseeing the west side of Paris
It was really fun and informative Louis was an excellent tour guide. Showed up right on time (2 min early), asked if we has special interest. My grand daughter first time in Paris got to great start. We got to see the lightening Eiffel Tower and the restaurant and apartment of “Emily in Paris”.
Less of a verbal tour and more of a sightseeing tour. Lots of side streets from the Big Bus Tour, so more of a neighborhood feeling. Treated three other people. Be forewarned, though - in order to make sure everyone gets their own side car, you have to double the amount of people you actually have. Otherwise they book two people per bike; one gets the sidecar, the other sits on the back, behind the driver.
Our driver Michael was amazing. Very informative and the best hospitality we experienced in Paris. It was the best experience we had in Paris. Thank you for everything!!! This is a must do in Paris.
The best time ever. Never quit smiling throughout the ride. Our driver Louie was the very best. Very knowledgeable and had great humor. We saw parts of Paris we have never seen before. Would do this again.
Thibaut was an excellent guide and made this a memorable experience. We highly recommend that everyone see Paris in this way if they want to get a sense of the city and all that it has to offer at night. This was definitely our best experience. Worth everypenny. Pure magic.
This tour was simply something else! Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgable, and he was fabulous at zooming around the narrow Paris streets while providing a commentary about places of interest we were going past. He took us up to the high point of Montmartre where we stopped for a while - the view over Paris at dusk was amazing. Champagne and pastries were a lovely addition to an unforgettable experience. Don't forget to wrap up warm for this activity - it can get very cold at night when moving at speed! If there are two of you then it is one in the sidecar and one on the back of the bike. Very highly recommended!
This is a highly entertaining way to see the sights of Paris. Our guide was fantastic and the champagne almost made us forget the sub-zero temperatures. I would highly recommend this as an activity.
Fabulous way to see the city! They picked us up at hotel. Very friendly and engaging. This was a great first night in Paris! Highly recommend!
Alex our guide was wonderful. Not only is he an architect by training, he made us feel safe even in the Paris rush hour! His stories and history made the trip fun even in light rain.
Roman was an excellent guide. He was able to show me some late afternoon spot for lovely photos of Paris. The champagne was a nice touch
Very friendly and knowledgeable about the history of Paris. Very chatty and informative. The Retro vibe was a head turner on the streets of Paris by night. Highly recommended.
Alex was amazing! This was the best part of our trip to Paris. I highly recommend it for anyone coming to the city.
Julien was our tour guide. I booked the wrong date and it was our last evening in Paris. Thankfully Julien came to the rescue and sorted out a lovely 'Paris by night tour'. It was really wonderful to see. He spoke brilliant English and a night that we will remember.
We booked this after reading the reviews and were not disappointed, despite the weather! We had Louis as our driver and he performed the mad French man perfectly. Whizzing around Paris at night seeing the lights and hearing the sounds was great. Not massively historical buy We were given facts as we drove. Fun and humour were the ingredients of this tour at night. Stopped for glass of champagne and view of tower but weather was not on our side but Louis still made it fun. He also recommended a pla e for food that he goes to which we would never of known about. Full of locals, no tourists. Not cheap but a great fun way tk spend you first night in Paris.
This was the funnest activity of our trip, and kids had a blast! The drivers were super cool and fun.
My husband scheduled this as a surprise for the family and it was fantastic! Our 2 daughters (20 & 22) joined and probably had the most fun. Olivier and Dennis were entertaining and made the experience wonderful.
The best way to go around Paris and the guides were really friendly. Had an amazing time!! Would definitely recommend this!
This was a truly unique way to experience Paris. We loved it. Our guide was great. One of a kind experience. 5 stars so fun
Simply perfect! Worth every penny. And amazing family activity, and an equally unique way to experience Paris. The drivers/guides are wonderful too.
Our family of four had an amazing time riding through Paris with our excellent guides, Julia and Max! The ride itself and the stop for champagne at Sacre Coeur at sunset we’re unforgettable. We would highly recommend this incredible experience for all! I would give Max and Julia six stars if I could!
Our family was looking to do something different for our last night in Paris and the ‘Retro by Night’ tour exceeded all of our expectations. Zipping around the streets on a vintage motorbike and sidecar gives you a really different perspective on the city and it's many landmarks – including a sunset stop at the Eiffel Tower for some champagne and incredible photo opportunities. Remi and Charlie were exceptional drivers and hosts – making you feel comfortable during every part of the ride and providing great insights on Paris. This a really unique experience and the Retro team execute it brilliantly. If we're ever fortunate enough to be back in Paris, we will definitely be taking another tour with Retro - thank you again to Remi and Charlie for providing the perfect end to our vacation !
Julia was FABULOUS! She was very accommodating especially when the skies decided to open up and rain buckets. She took great care of us. Unique way to see Paris and I could not reccomend it enough!!!!!
Our family of 4, myself, my wife, my 19 year son and my 17 year old son, were looking for something completely off the beaten path in terms of seeing what there is to see by motorbike in Paris for our first experience here. We had Tomas and Julia as our drivers. We had to extend our ride, because we didn't want it to end. The views were fantastic, they took us to the right spots, showed us some hidden back roads that only a sidecar could fit in to get around traffic, and gave our family the thrill of a lifetime, all the while watching Paris passing by on both sides of us, and getting a wonderful glimpse of this great city. Champagne at Trocadero, with the sun setting on the Eiffel tower provided an absolutely wonderful background for photos that our drivers were very happy to take for us. All in all, the most fun we've had as a family in a very long time. You won't be disappointed.
Passeio Top!!! Adoramos!!! Curtimos demais. Instrutor maravilhoso, alegre, muito gente boa. Obrigada
A superb visit to unusual Paris between Montmartre and the Left Bank. Excellent birthday present even for Parisians.
