Paris Vintage Sidecar Tour – Emily In Paris Highlights

This was the most fun activity - my mom and I did this for her birthday and it was the best, most unique and special way to see so much of Paris in a short time. Our tour guide, William, was fantastic - we were able to learn about and see so much from a close up view, I couldn’t imagine navigating Paris any other way! Riding on the back of the motorcycle required a bit of strength, fyi, as you hold on to a ring with your hands behind the driver. I would recommend it to anyone visiting for the first time!

We had been looking forward to this motorbike & sidecar tour of Paris and we were certainly not disappointed! Michael, our "charioteer" and guide gave us a wonderful tour including Moulin Rouge, Montmartre, Sacre Coeur, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and Invalides. He arrived on time and was very helpful all the way round, knowing all the best photo opportunities near the "sights". I have restricted mobility but managed the sidecar ok and found that this was the perfect way to see much more of Paris than I could have done on foot. This is an exhilarating experience and worth every penny. Marvellous!!!

The motorcycle drivers were awesome! They were kind enough yo wait on us when our flight was delayed. Great experience!

Outstanding adventure! My daughter and I did the tour - her on back and me in the sidecar. We covered so much ground in Paris and saw things from an amazing perspective. Our host/driver was prompt, very knowledgeable and an incredibly safe driver. It would not be an understatement to say I was more than apprehensive starting out. Scared *+#!less would be accurate. Our driver very quickly put me at ease. Sidecar is roomy, comfortable and very stable. We've done just about all there is for visitors to do in Paris and this is my very favorite. Core memory will be flying around the Arch de Triomphe on a sunny October afternoon with my daughter. Thanks for such a unique experience. Highly recommend.

This was a fun way to see the city without all the walking. Our driver took the time to learn what we had already seen and created a route to show us a few other areas we had not seen before.

To begin with our guide Clement picked us up right on time, gave us a choice of two different routes depending on our interest and was great about describing the sites along the way. It was an experience we will never forget!

Our guide, Pierre I believe (apologies if i got your name wrong), showed up on time and met us at our hotel and customized our trip to our liking. Pierre made sure we were comfortable and safe the entire ride. It was hands down the best experience I've ever had in Paris. Pierre highlighted many interesting locations along the way, such as famous painter's previous homes, the president's home, as well as the usual tourist attractions. He took some amazing pictures for us which we will treasure forever. If booking again, I would book for an even longer time. This is hands down the best tour available in Paris. I highly recommend it!

Aristide and Greg were great!! Knowledgeable, fun, great tour guides! This is the best tour I’ve had!! It is amazing to see all the iconic places without having to worry about transportation, etc. Again, Greg and Aristide were the BEST!!

This was the best way to see Paris! A few raindrops fell, but it cleared and was a great day to see the sites. While we were seeing Paris, the people were seeing us and waving. This would be even better in spring or summer. The guide was knowledgeable, funny, and great at negotiating Parisian traffic. The best tour ever!

The ultimate tour of Paris. Whilst looking for a a unique way of seeing the city I stumbled across Retro Tours and immediately booked. It was exciting, informative and we always had front row seats of all the best sites in Paris. Thierry, our tour guide/driver was a history buff and his knowledge was exceptional and interesting. We had such a fabulous time. Loved the personal interaction from our lovely driver. He stopped and bought us a fabulous patisserie as well as one of the best croissants ever. He was super knowledgable about the areas we travelled to and also took us to a fabulous garden out of the city. Highly recommend this tour to anyone enjoying some time in Paris.

This was the highlight of our trip, I had concerns due to taking my 8 year old son on a tour of the city by bike and sidecar, but our guide (Egor) was the kindness, most careful and considerate driver, making me (mum) feel totally at ease. He gave us lots of information and tweaked the tour to our needs. I would highly recommend this tour for adults with children. My child loved it and said it was the best thing we did in Paris, and we did a lot! So thank you for making it so special!

The sidecar tour was great fun. We were picked up on time and asked what we most wanted to see. It was a fun way to see the city.

This experience was 10/10, wanted to experience Paris in a different way to what I’d done on my past visit as this time I was travelling with my 5 year old son. It was a great choice, we had Greg as our driver and he was excellent, very friendly , informative and fun. We even stopped for ice cream. It was a perfect way to see Paris with kids as I didn’t have to drag him over the city travelling on public transport, he got to see so much while smiling the entire way. Max led us as our driver for what both my sister and I can safely say was one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. It was a thrill riding around in the motorcycle/sidecar as he rode up and down Parisian streets, narrow pathways, and up hills. We got to see so much of Paris and Max shared was generous with his knowledge as he talked to us about the history of Paris and the architecture that colored our ride. We made short stops here and there. People on the streets smiled and waved at us, one even took a photo for us. Without any hesitation - I would recommend this unique experience to family and friends.

I would recommend this to any friend or family member. It was SUCH a thrill exploring Paris with Max as our driver. Those we passed by offered us smiles and one even offered to take a photo of us with our phone. My sister and I got great insights into Paris' history and architecture as we toured the city on his motorcycle. He was entertaining, kind, and generous with our final destination. This is a MUST for anyone's itinerary!

We loved every second of our tour with Michael! From Sacre Cour to the Latin Quarter, we got to explore alleys and neighborhoods where no bus tour could go. Plus the fun of being on a motorcycle with a sidecar 😁!! People waved, smiled, and laughed with us. Michael obviously loves Paris and is a fun, upbeat guide. We highly recommend.

Max was an absolutely amazing tour guide and completely customized everything for us. He was a delight to talk to and we were able to see all the major sights.

Having been living in Paris for the last month, I was afraid this tour would be a bit “silly”, but I had first-timers to Paris with me and we had a fabulous, fun ride with delightful guide/drivers. Everywhere we went, people smiled and waved. A great time washad by all!

Best tour of a city, ever! It was well beyond my expectations. Took the Tailor Cut Half Day excursion and was duly impressed by the amount of Paris I got to see. My driver, Louie, was extremely knowledgable and informative about the city's famous sites as well as the not so famous parts of Paris. I could not have wished for a more pleasant and enjoyable driver. We had a great time touring with some stops along the way to explore places a little more in-depth. It was fun watching people's reaction to us on the motorcycle and in the sidecar as they gave us the thumbs up when we passed by. I was able to take close up pictures and videos of the attractions as we motored along and when we made various stops to check things out. I highly recommend this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat. Cheers, Ross.

It was fun traveling on the motorcycle and truly experiencing Paris with our friendly guide! (We wish he could have spoken better English though and that they had a smaller helmet size too for us women) what a FUN time… would definately recommend this to a friend up for an adventure!!

First I must say that the tour is wonderful and I would recommend it to everyone. My problem is that we paid for two motorcycles and only one came. Because we really wanted to do it, I rode on the back of the driver, I am 71, and my friend sat in the car, she is 81. The driver told us that we would be able to get a reimbursement for the other motorcycle. When I got home I was told that there was nothing they could do.

This was one of our absolute favorite experiences in Paris. We were greeted at our hotel with our tour guides and with all the necessary safety measures in place. Our tour was conducted by Max and Fasil of Paris. They covered all the significant areas and monuments of Paris and took us to some hidden gems within the region. They provided info in regards to the culture and history of the areas, in addition to stopping and opting for photo and video opportunities if the regions we covered. It was one of the best experiences I’ve had to date and can’t wait to go back. An absolute MUST, while in Paris!

Absolutely awesome! This is the best way to see Paris. The nobles are fab, the kids loved it as did we and our guides were really really lovely guys! Can’t praise it highly enough!

I am so glad I booked this tour! I booked the tour because it seemed like a super cool way to show my 19-year old son around Paris. (I can speak French and I lived there for a year many years ago.) Well, my son had such bad allergies the day of the tour that he didn't want to go so I went on my own. I requested an English-speaking guide so my son could understand, so my guide, Gregoire, was surprised I could speak French and I wanted to speak in French the whole tour because I never get to speak it in the US. I decided to ask if we could veer off from the traditional tour because I already knew a lot of those places. He was completely flexible and took me to the places I had never seen before like the Ritz Hotel. He also drove right down to the bank of the Seine because I hadn't been down there this trip yet. It sound stupid but it's really kind of magical being right next to the Seine. We did go up to Montmartre - I got some great photos of the Moulin Rouge on the way and some great shots of Paris from Sacre Coeur. He also showed me some of these great hidden gem places with stories behind them (one was a square I can't remember the name of (not Place de Vosges) I was really interested in the story of Haussmann and his transformation of Paris - which some like and some don't - but the story fascinated me. What made the trip for me was the fact that I had such a friendly and engaging guide with a great sense of humor. He adapted easily to my changes in the route. He was about the age of my son so you'd think we'd really have nothing to talk about but we actually shared stories and had a lot of laughs along the way! Even though my son didn't go, this ended up being one of my favorite memories of the trip because I got to connect with a local person for a couple of hours and speak French too!

My husband, eight-year-old son and six-year-old daughter loved this tour. It was such a fun and unique experience that allowed us to see so much of Paris in a short period of time. My kids absolutely loved the experience and the guides were highly responsive and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Greg was amazing showing us Paris! We have been to Paris a few times, however, this time was our absolute favorite having the opportunity to see Paris in more detail. We would definitely do this again! Thank you Greg for the best tour ever!

We booked 2 hours for our family of 4 (with 2 preteens) and they were the highlight of our time in Paris!!! Julian and Max were our guides and they were amazing - knowledgeable, patient, super fun and friendly. The tour is specific to what you want. My favorite part was going to Montmarte. Book it!!!! It is an amazing way to see Paris and just so much fun!!!!!

On May 3rd, My husband and I met Louie for a 1 hour ride around Paris. He told us we could go over to Luxembourg gardens if we did an extra 1/2 hour, so we did that. We had a great time! He recommended a great restaurant too! Drove around the Arc and stopped at the Eiffel Tower, drove past the American embassy. My husband is 6’5” 200 pounds and sat behind Louie and I am 5’2” and sat in the side car. He had a blanket for me and we all wore helmets. This is my third time in Paris, and this was such a fun way to see some areas! I highly recommend this tour!

I’m tracking the path of an 18th century woman and Clement found the streets she where she lived and shopped so I really felt I was walking in her foosteps. It was great that he followed my interests rather than some prescrbed route. I’m only sorry I didn’t have cash for a tip because he certainly deserved one,

Terry was very knowledgeable about all the sights and areas we saw in Paris. The sidecar ride was an unusual and exciting way to see Paris. Terry knew the streets of Paris very well and we always felt secure on our tour.
