The tour is as advertised and is probably a great deal for those who have a short time in Paris and have never been there before. Our experience was marred by cold, wettish weather. I can imagine this being much more fun in fall, blue-sky weather as you can take your time to stand in long lines to get into Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower taking in the wonderful Paris vibe whether you are standing or sitting on the bus. The audio component worked for me but not for my husband who wears hearing aids. The volume on the provided headphones was not loud enough for him to hear. I was unable to connect to the advertised wi-fi on the bus. I found the content of the audio tour unsatisfying. Those traveling with guidebooks or other tools can bypass the audio tour, of course.

The bus was great. It was a bit windy but the sights were amazing. I gave 3 stars bc I purchased a 2 day bus ticket and bc I didn't activate the ticket on the first day, I had to purchase new tickets from a vendor outside the Louvre museum stop. My second day ticket was not accessible. This was for 2 people.
Very easy to navigate. Buses are frequent. Easy to get channel in your language. Too much music. Not enough narrative.
Being able to hop on and off made traveling more convenient however I would recommend the map have more detail on exactly where the bus stops are. It would’ve made it easier for me to locate the stops if I knew the two streets on either end of it.
We originally booked and paid for tickets for Toot Bus for Sat. 9/26. Then Viator emailed and stated the tour was canceled because of the Pope’s visit to Paris. I rebooked for Sunday 9/27. Please refund tickets for 9/26 as we understand Toot Bus plans to now run the 9/26 route with severe limitations. Very confusing on your part.
You need to assure you know what time the bus stops running as it states 24 hours before which is not true. The same for the cruise it soccers we did not get to go and it was a waste of money
Took the bus around 11AM to orient ourselves around Paris while we wait to check into my hotel. We decided to hop on at Notre Dame and do the full “2hr” loop. It took almost 4 hours due to Paris traffic which is no fault of the bus driver. During that time the bus got really hot because there was no AC. Some folks asked to be let off and what was supposed to be a great experience became utterly miserable. We bought a 2 day pass but didn’t hop back on after that initial experience.
Great bus and worked well. Done Big Bus and the like and this was solid and no complaints. Very convenient especially with the app to track it. I would recommend.
Very friendly and fun! That’s the way to see Paris for the first time. I would recommend this to anyone!
If you like to site-see and let someone else do the driving, you will so enjoy the Paris Toot Bus. If you’re like me, the history you will hear makes it all worth-while. As you are whisked around the city in a bright, clean open bus, you’ll view the local scenery and hear stories, history and lots of funny anecdotes. You will be able to see all of the major sites in Paris, like the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe, find out where the museums are, like the Orsay and Louvre, and see numerous restaurants and shops. You can hop on and off as often as you like to walk and see things close up. It is the best way to get a handle on the layout of Paris as you see the city sites and hear its history. You’ll also get an option to take a Seine River Cruise, and you should do it. You can sit back, relax and see Paris from the water. All of the noise and sounds of the city fade into the background as you head up and down stream. More stories about the buildings and city of Paris will be offered as you sip a drink and snack as the world glides by. It will be the most relaxing and enjoyable part of your day of site seeing. Don’t miss it.
This is a great way to see Paris. Although Paris roads are super busy so the whole tour can take some time. Great way to plan some of the landmarks to hop in and off. Most were covered but may take some planning if have already booked tickets. Audio was hit and miss with headphones some worked others didn’t. Found the prices rather steep with essentially what we got. Only did one full circuit so rather expensive. But a good way in seeing the city especially if you manage to get a seat with good view and the weather is kind.
Where told cruise is included when we bought the tickets but upon trying to board 2 of 3 couples where allowed to board one couple was denied Staff was very rude and did not give a f..ck
Did not know there was a Tootbus app. Big help with the app. East finding stops and bus locations with app
When I booked, said I could take an evening cruise. Turns out I missed the cruise 1st day and second regretfully missed due to a class running late. Unhappy for Viator falsely advertising the cruise part but Tootbus itself was pretty good
Avoid Tootbus Hop-On Hop-Off Paris, especially for same-day bookings. We booked and paid but never received our tickets. My family and I spent over an hour standing outside in the Paris heat trying to sort it out, and the driver refused to let us board with our booking confirmation. After multiple attempts to contact Tootbus customer service we eventually gave up and paid for another hop-on hop-off company so we could actually enjoy our day in Paris. Tootbus then refused to refund us, despite us never receiving or using the tickets. TripAdvisor/Viator ultimately had to step in and refund us themselves. Awful customer service and a huge waste of our limited vacation time. Definitely would not recommend Tootbus.
Interesting trip. Good value and excellent drivers. The audio was very informative and we all enjoyed ithop
They missed informed us about the river cruise location as they have no bus stop near it, They told us stop No,9 but it was about 1km further with no access by their services
Very poor experience with an App that promised the world and comprehensively failed to deliver. Crass on-board commentary - very hard uncomfortable seats and generally a very underwhelming experience.
satisfied with transportation and customer service
Great to get around Paris. App is accurate and you can literally see the bus moving on the map. Stops are accurate and buses arrive regularly The headphones for work sometimes and it seems out of sync with what the bus is driving past I would recommend using the toot bus as it was a great experience for my kids and me.
This was a nice way to see the city and have easy transport between some of the big spots in Paris. I think the audio could be a little better.
It is a great way to get to see all the most important sites to see as a traveler. You get informed of the importance of what you're looking at and it is also a very safe way to see it all.
Easy way to get a good view of the key sites in the city. We found it was cheaper to move about this way rather than take an uber and due to mobility issues, the metro was out for us. Keep in mind you need sunscreen in if you are up top.
It's a skanky old bus where they pack on as many people as they can. No air conditioning at all. Complete lies that there is air conditioning. Horrendous city to visit never again.
You will see the most important sites in Paris. Excellent buses with fabulous drivers. I must complement the drivers: they are very patient with some very difficult travelers.
The whole idea of having transport throughout the day between sites made the day so easy. One of us lost wallet on the bus. It was handed in, and when I called the number on the map, Laura was extremely helpful and made our day. She had notified our hotel, and arranged a place where the bus driver stopped and called her so she could check identity and return it in person. I would definitely use them again after such personal care.
Meeting point was very unclear and never emailed to me. Your information was brief, limited, and also played sometimes 2-3x in a row. Informative at times but I think the info could be updated.
No guidance to headphones, had to figure it out. Bus was dirty, driver was heavy on brakes in heavy traffic so entire trip spent jolting back and forth. No cover on top deck in high heat and the recording was pathetic….
When you board the bus don’t forget to grab plug in head phones. The headphones did not work well in the seats where I sat so we got off early. The second time the headphones worked okay but didn’t seem to coordinate with what we were seeing. There was a lot of time in between sites. All in all it was just okay. We did the Tootbus River Cruise the next day. It was more informative. The docent tried to engage the crowd but wasn’t interested. To be fair it was really hot.
This was a great way to take a break from the heat while still seeing the sights and get a feel for the city. We also noticed it was a different view of the city from the top of the bus, at street level there was way too much going on.
If I were to choose again, I might choose Big Bus. We got on the bus at stop #1 and at stop #5 everyone was kicked off! A few minutes later another bus arrived, but stopped letting people on before he was full! He came off and screamed at us! Not so bad for us, but one family had half the people on and half off and a young boy was stuck in the closing doors!!! Luckily another bus arrived and it had a nice driver. From then on it was a good tour! The bus does go past all the major landmarks and it is easy to hop on and off.
Won't use them again. Not enough buses. Drivers unfriendly. Stops too far from attractions.
Great way to cover a lot of the highlights of Paris! Our favorite stop was #3-Notre Dame. Definitely stop for cream puffs at Odette’s right across from the bus stop.
Due to the heatwave, the bus was unbearable. The clear roof seemed to make the heat worse and the windows didn’t open in the bottom level so there was no escape from the heat. Our first day traffic was so bad, I was afraid we’d have people passing out before the next stop.
Great way to be able to see the whole city but just be aware of time. Each location, if you get off, takes a long time, and then you will be waiting on buses and sometimes sitting on a bus waiting for more people. We ended up ubering back to our hotel vs finishing the last stops due to time and evening plans.
The service was excellent. Buses frequent and drivers really pleasant. We saw everything we could have hoped for. Bought 72 day pass and cruise and it was well worth the money
Easy to locate and audio portion was nice to listen too. Allows you to see all the sights and get off and on when needed too.
Driver Igor got fed up with traffic jam kicked us off bus said he wasn't driving anymore tired of traffic. Ramata in customer service said that doesn't qualify for refund bus he driver left us stranded She stated not their fault we got lost trying to get back to train. Said usually Igor is got driver! Worst experience ever
We were on bus approaching stop 7. There was a traffic jam and driver after 30 minutes kicked those on bus off said he wasn't driving anymore. We are from US we had planned our trip accordingly to arrive at stop 1 take taxi to Lube to get back to London. This driver left us stranded trying to figure out how to get back to station on our own. Customer service Ramata is awful said it's not there fault, that their driver rudely kicked people off and did not finish tour. Traffic can't be avoided but rudeness can, the driver Igor was rude and Ramata was worse. Don't take this tour unless you want to be standee as well!
It was difficult to find some of the stops, as they were not in front of the sites, but usually a few blocks away. Otherwise it was good.
This was my first hop-on hop-off bus experience and I thought it was good and worth the price. The bus stopped at all the main attractions.
Bus was ok but it was so hot and no air conditioning so we didn’t stay for full ride. Would only recommend during mild weather.
Audio didn't work for two stops and had to contact support to fix. This took away time from enjoying the tour. Finally it was fixed. Also, one stop we couldn't get on because the bus was full, so we had to wait for the next one.
Overall, the tour itself was enjoyable, however the boarding process at the stops needs significant improvement. At one stop, we were told to line up because the bus was full and that we would be first on the next bus. Unfortunately, when the next bus arrived, that system wasn’t followed at all and people were allowed to board in no particular order. This created unnecessary confusion and frustration, and we very nearly missed that bus as a result. A clearer and consistently enforced queueing system would make a big difference to the overall experience.
We’ve taken a bus like this on each of our international trips. It’s good to do on one of your first days, as it helps you get the “lay of the land” before your venture out. Always very touristy, but worth taking if you’ve never been to the city before.
Electric bus goes on a by loop around the famous landmarks with audio explaining each stop. Can have xtra options we took the vendetta boat cruise which was great again with a guide explaining each land marks Paris is a very beautiful city steeped in History and culture well Worth it
It was the audio app which failed and hard to navigate, you where unsure if it was on or or off and when it was there was not much commentary
First bus audio didn’t work. App sux. Multiple drivers just took off throwing riders to the ground who weren’t seated. One covered bus wouldn’t let us board during rain storm. Made us get in an open top bus. One stop the driver got off, left the door open with cold wind coming in while he went and got hot coffee. Dirty wet seats and moldy ear phones. Toots suck. Don’t get on their busses.
The Blue Line was an excellent route for seeing many of Paris’s most beautiful landmarks. Even though it rained, the bus’s covered upper deck allowed us to sit on top and enjoy the views comfortably. The drivers and staff were kind and responsive throughout the trip. I highly recommend this hop‑on hop‑off route.
Please ensure that you ammend the starting point on all internet platforms. I waited 20 minutes to be told the bus stop for point 1, is 500m away. Otherwise, great experience. Great trip.
