Paris To Normandy D-day Tour Small Group : Utah, Omaha & Cemetery

This tour was well planned. Steve provided wonderful review related to the events that occurred at Normandy. Made me want to come for several days for more in depth tour.

Steve was a great tour guide! He provided lots of information during our drive from Paris to Normandy and the time allotted at each of our stops was just perfect. This tour covers all of the must see locations in Normandy. Steve also arranged a special ceremony to help me honor my Great Uncle who died on D-Day. This above and beyond made the day extra special! I highly recommend this tour!

He is very knowledgeable, experienced, and personable. We enjoyed the opportunity to travel with a couple we had never met. We were honored to watch the lady pay homage to a Great-Uncle at the American Cemetery.

Steve was very friendly and knowledgeable in the history of D-Day. He guided our small group around the crowds, pointed out areas of significance, and made sure we had a wonderful experience. Seeing the 3 major landing areas of the allies and then the cemetary was very moving and humbling.

Well organized and an efficient way to see the Normandy beaches and cemetery. The guide was knowledgeable, kind, and really cared about explaining the information and answering questions. You can tell the guide cared about what he did.

Our guide Steve was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. I’m a veteran and studied military history in college and was amazed with his depth of WW2 knowledge. We saw 5 different sites (and had a very enjoyable lunch) yet never felt rushed. Highly recommended!

This was such a great excursion! We got to see all the awesome World War II places in France. He shared great relatable facts regarding each site and let us have some free time at each stop. It was appropriately paced and the best part was that he picked us up from Paris. He even went the extra mile for us when my daughter lost her phone, by helping us look for it, and even reaching out to other tour groups and the police translating for us. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Bucket List item that did not disappoint! Visited on Memorial Day which made the day even more memorable. Steve was an outstanding host for this small group tour. He is extremely knowledgeable about the Normandy area and WWII history. This full day itinerary is the one to schedule!

Our guide Steve was very accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable and funny! We enjoyed the day very much. The cemetery was particularly impressive. Beautifully cared for and the most beautiful roses. Very moving and a lovely tribute to these soldiers who sacrificed their lives.

Excellent way to see Normandie from Paris in one day. Easy pickup and great to see Utah, Omaha, Point du Hoc and American cemetery. Scott was a wonderful guide today. Appreciate his insights. Enjoyed the Utah museum. Lunch was excellent. Would have liked to see St Mere Eglise since we passed close to it. But again great tour all around. Liked the small size. Only other recommendation would be to bring some visuals to show images of beach in 1944. Highly recommended and enjoyed.

Steve was great. Super knowledgeable, great driver and he helped us get a ceremony for our uncle who dies near Omaha beach at the American cemetery. We didn’t even know that was an option! Would 100% recommend

We really enjoyed our tour with Steve! He shared a lot of great knowledge with us that enhanced our visit to Normandy. And when he found that some of us had specific family relationships to D-Day, he made sure to visit memorials specific to those people.

Our driver, Steve was the best driver/narrator of all the trips we have taken while in France. He was very knowledgeable about the ride out to the Normandy D-Day area and once there, we could not believe all the information that he gave us. He had a very good sense of humor and joke around with us. I would highly recommend taking a tour of the Normandy D-Day area with this company and insist on having Steve as your driver.

I'm hard of hearing and have a hard time with foreign accents. Our guides English was excellent and he spoke very clearly. This isn't true with a lot of guides in Europe. Extremely knowledgeable and helped us understand interesting facts & nuances. Really enjoyed his presentation

We truly enjoyed our day trip to Normandy. Having the bus transportation allowed us to fit all the sites we wanted to in one day. Our tour guide Steve was great - very knowledgeable and engaging.

Our guide Zoltan did a great job throughout the day. It was disappointing to find out when we arrived for the tour that we had been attached to another tour group/company than who we had booked with. This made our small group tour considerably larger and after chatting with others on the tour we discovered we had paid substantially more for the same experience as everyone else. I would probably suggest that if the tour company can’t fulfill the booking and attach you to another company they should refund the difference in price. If your meeting point changes it is likely you are touring with a different company to this one that you are booking.

Steve did an exceptional job. Great overviews during the entire trip. Great balance for history buffs as well as the novice. He was most knowledgeable and willing to share info and answer questions. Covered a lot of ground with a well paced tour. Not to be missed

Steve did a wonderful job coordinating and leading out trip from Paris to thr Normandy beaches. He offered great insight and compelling backstory for our bus ride. The coach was comfortable and we had ample stops for bathroom breaks. He offered clear directions for how we would stay at each location, which was appreciated. Our buffet lunch was a lovely experience we both appreciated. Would definitely recommend Steve and The French Experience to anyone considering the full day trip from Paris. Well worth it!

Very disappointed. Came from the other side of the world to visit Normandy. Only to have my tour/reservation cancelled with only 24 hours notice. Left me with no other options when also including the strike action. I’d waited years to realise this dream. 😩

Memorable trip! Beautiful locations. Enjoyed sneaking in the amazing museum during lunch. The cemetery and art and landscape gave me chills. I cannot imagine.

Ryan, our guide, was a great educator during our day long tour. He used our travel time from Paris to Normandy to clarify what we desired to see/do & to share historical information. Great tour. We learned a lot and Steve made it interesting and fun. It was relaxing to be driven from place to place… no stress. We had time to explore on our own too. My 10 year old LOVED it. Out of 5 stars my son rates it 6 starts. Highly recommended!!!!
