The boat was a good way to get to some of the main sights to see in Paris. We only had a couple of days to visit Paris and the boat was a good way to get to see the Eifflel Tower, the Notre Dame Cathedral, etc. without having to take a bus or rent a car. The sites were within walking distance of the drop off sites.
My mother is 90 and half years old, difficult to walk too much. This hop on hop off gives her choices and views a lot. We got a lot of photos for her eeee eeee eeee
Excellent way to sightsee in the city without traffic congestion and/or worries. I would recommend booking a boat with both closed and open decks.
I didn’t take the cruise due to weather
What a fantastic way to spend a day in Paris, boat was warm and lovely inside, was perfect for windy and rainy day, very helpful staff, not much waiting, perfect ending to our Paris adventure.
We love it as a family of 5. The boats are covered with glass so in the cold weather, you feel warm while watching beautiful landmarks and listening to their stories. The boats leave each port every 20 minutes in time so very convenient. The ports are easy to find. The boats are not crowded so you can easily find seats. Highly recommended.
Excellent way to see Paris, we felt it was better that tour bus .
Much better than the hop on off buses as no traffic, plenty of stops at main sights and frequent boats . We did the 48hr .. Great value
Do it in the afternoon, so you can use it again the next day. It was a great time to just explore and relax.
DO NOT USE TRIPADVISOR OR VIATOR! Tripadvisor and viator seem to be one in the same. I booked a local Seine cruise for Sept 25, I got a confirmation email but could never download the tickets. I went to the provider's (Batobus) kiosk with my confirmation email and booking number but was told the operator had nothing to do with my reservation and would not recognize my email but that I would have to deal with Viator. I ended up buying 2 tickets from the operator. When I got home, I called Viator. They did nothing except email my issue back to Batobus who refused to refund my initial reservation. The operator used by Viator/Tripadvisor refused the confirmation, Viator/Tripadvisor has declined any assistance beyond emailing the operator who already denied my reservation at the Seine and has again refused a refund via email. There is no recourse to getting ripped off by the operator or by Viator/Tripadvisor. I am disgusted as I have been a loyal customer since the start of Tripadvisor. They seem to have morphed into an unreliable tour organizer. I am removing thier app from my phone and will no longer use Tripadvisor or Viator. They are not to be trusted!
Bought tickets from operator at Eiffel tower no need to book in advance just show up on day no que in October got on at 1.30 pm took it to cruise past Notre Dame & got off Hotel Deville & got back on 20 min later. Took to Louvre & got off 23euro for adult no toilet on board no commentary but a nice way to see city quiet & runs on time no traffic. It's a 24 hr ticket but boats finish at 7 pm at night you can use next day if you buy late in day.
I was disappointed there was no audio explanation or history provided. It’s simply a ride from one key stop in Paris, to the next. Having boat transportation was quite efficient; so it was still a positive way to get around Paris.
Only if you use it to experience none touristy areas. I expected more a tour. Please put signs to direct you to the right boat entrance. All other groups had their signs.
It was very convenient and we enjoyed hopping on and off to take in all the incredible sights of Paris. Would highly recommend!!
Great relaxing way to get around to many key sights. Boats come every 25 mins. with the last boat leaving the Eiffel Tower at 7pm (early Oct). We bought the 2 day pass (great value) and used it as our means of transportation between major sights to save on the amount of walking as distances are further than they look. You can track the boats next arrival at a stop on the Batobus website. Although some boats were quite full, we always found room to sit. The pass can be purchased directly from Batobus for a few euros less.
The staff were helpful and friendly. We expected a “tour guide-style presentation, where the guide announces in English and the native language, the points of interests; however, this did not happen. I have taken other types of “hop on, hop off”, where a tour guide announced the points of interests, with historic information about them. On previous vacations, I loved these types of mobile tours because I would stay on the bus for the entire tour initially (typically two hours), and then after the first cycle, I would begin the “hop on, hop off process to specific points of interests that were peaked from the Guide’s illustrious presentation. Additionally, the entry points for the “tour” were not properly identified so you knew exactly where to take the boat or bus, when starting the tour or entering it at another destination. Thanks, Viator, for “listening”.
We found this pretty easy to use. We checked the website ahead of needing to use the boat, mapped it from our hotel to the nearest station and walked to the station. The stops along the way are not huge, some were tucked into the walls of the walking path, but generally were easy to find. We used it to make our way to the Eiffel Tower and then back again. It was quick and efficient and not super crowded (seeing some of the other boats that are just packed with people). A good way to get around the city to the major sites. We travelled late September/early October
Such a smart idea. Easy way to see a lot of different areas and not sit in the crazy traffic. Highly recommend.
A great way to see Paris from the river. I only had one full day in Paris so it was a great way to hit many of the sites.
Saturday, 9/26 was our free day. Pope Leo was also in town. We were happy to find the boat to get around. I have never done a hop on hop off boat! It was also beautiful day.
Everything was beautiful. Easy to book and easy to contact for any concerns. The sights were breath taking. The crew was very nice.
A great way to avoid crazy traffic and city noise cruising along the river. Stops are very close to several major attractions and well marked. A good use of Trip Advisor credit as Batobus is a little pricey. The electronic ticket bought ahead worked perfectly.
Incredibly hot and uncomfortable. It was only in the 80s that afternoon, but the seating area was unbearably uncomfortable because the boat's design allowed no breeze through the front of the boat. I told the crew in no uncertain terms that it was too hot and they did nothing. They may not have been able to do anything. It seems to be just a really badly designed boat. It absorbs heat through the glass tops and allows no airflow through the front from the forward motion of the boat. The partially retractable panels on the top did not help. The front was all solid glass panels that could not be moved down to make the ride more comfortable. Really disappointing. We bailed out after two stops and didn't return. Waste of money.
Very average. No English spoken.
Expect CHAOS. I had a horrible experience. Instead of instructing payees to meet after entering the venue and going through security they advised to meet at some obscure location (for someone new to Paris) AND did not have anyone holding a flag identifying the Activity Provider (Adventour). ALL this among a throng of tourists and "marathoners". I called Viator's customer service the night before complaining that I was not able to download a ticket (or QR code) and was told I might get that from the guide. After 40 minutes or more being on the phone with customer service I received NO resolution of the matter. I was told they were unable to contact the Activity Provider (AP). Frustrated, I decided to buy a ticket at the venue's ticketing booth. If I can cite one good thing out this bad situation, I SAVED 50 euros (the amount I guess Viator and the AP would have split). At the venue I got the same experience (minus a guide) for 28 euros; instead of the 78 euros I paid Viator. One can always use BING to scour for information concerning the Eiffel Towe's history, etc.
Tickets did not come in email. No refunds available so we bought new tix at the stop. Still a fun sightseeing tour though.
We enjoyed the hop on hop off boat. It allowed us to explore more. It was a nice comfy ride up the river. It was convenient. And I would choose them again!
This hop-on hop-off boat is a great way to get around and see all the sights. We had a great day! Highly recommend!
It’s a leisurely way to see Paris sights. You get off if you wish to see things up close. You could easily spend all day at certain sites but if you’re just looking to visit without an in depth look then this is well worth it.
Fantastic experience! Very convenient and clean seats. Great views and enjoyable! Would recommend!
Great experience. Easy to access. Closed to all the places you want to see. Friendly staff. Will be coming back and using it again
There is no description of what we were looking at. It was simply a boat ride. It was disappointing.
Getting off requires walking stairs and walking to location . I couldn’t get off boat. Also did not like the fiber glass windows. It blocked air.
Beautiful ride on Seine, stops at most famous attractions. One problem, mainly for parents with kids, there is no bathroom on the boats or any close proximity to the stations.
I liked the trip but the information on the available stops were not provided when I made the reservation. Had to reach out multiple times to get the information I needed.
Super! A friend recommended this to me and it was a good idea, you can get on and off and use your ticket for a 24hr period.
This was a very nice and convenient way to get a taste of Paris in one day. It doesn’t include entry to anything but keep that in mind when booking. We did a full loop in a day and when back to specific places later for more time. I highly recommend
Enjoyable way to get around to the popular sites but wishes the boat moved just a little faster and hours ended a little later than 8pm, maybe 10pm.
Easy to find, easy to get in and using the app helps to know when the next boat will arrive. Seating is cramped and with the upper windows open but the side windows closed it is hot and stuffy. Not enough seats for everyone at times. Nice break from bus hop- hop off, but much cannot be seen from the river.
Paris I find is dominated by must see places along the river, so this is the ideal way to hit all of the sites in comfort. Stops every 10 mins at key locations, staff very helpful, well priced, and I've now used their services for two trips in Paris. Would highly reccomend.
Can be a great means to hit the best spots along the seine. Instructions are super limited. You really need to seek out the stops to ensure you’re in the right place. There’s always space and the boats come regularly so you never wait more than 15 min. It can get very hot on the boat.
The instructions for how to find the initial meeting point options was extremely confusing and difficult to navigate. Once we found the right place, everything was going. A terrific option for navigating the tourist spots along the Seine and beautiful views of the Eiffel Tower.
Take the cruise at Sunset. Line up around 30-45 min before. They timed it perfectly for the Eiffel tower be lit and sparkle. Well organized.
Decent. The app and booking did not offer enough detail about where to find the ports. And you can easily buy a ticket on site and save a few bucks.
Easy to access pick up points. Punctual and great customer service. Comfortable ride along the river!
Perfect way to see Paris, regular boats, quick and easy jump on jump off. Ignore the negative reviews, recommended.
Pointless - metro is much easier to use rather than waiting half an hour at a stop to be crammed on a boat that is more akin to a greenhouse on the water. Boats stop running early evening too.
Extremely hot! No air flow and no seats outside. Everyone on the boat was miserable
Appealed to me for the fact of being able to sightsee at multiple locations throughout the day for one price.
