Paris Seine River Dinner Cruise By Maxim's With Champagne & Music

Fabulous and romantic. The crew was professional and experienced, kind, and added thoughtful touches that made the experience memorable. The photographer went out of his way to capture beautiful keepsake photos of us. The musician went out of his way to bring romance to the room. The attentive server and those who decorated the vessel, were each responsible for exceeding our hopes for an enjoyable evening and earned our praise and generous tip. We highly recommend this in comparison to more budget-conscious alternatives that had lower reviews.

Your greatest asset on the cruise was your staff! They very cordial, polite and approachable! In true European fashion, the food was excellent and flavorful, but not in a great quantity! However, the view of the architecture from the boat at night was breath taking! And one of your crew members went out of her way to take exceptional pictures for a number of the patrons. OUTSTANDING!

Do it! The Maxim’s cruise was by far the best Siene cruise I have been on. It’s a great way to see the most beautiful parts of Paris .

Beware if you want to take pictures, your pictures will be distorted by the windows and you are inside the entire time and no way to get out to take pictures. If you have an allergy, they will not provide more options even when you prearrange the allergy. Waste of money. Also, the service was lacking, drop food off and don’t come back. Needed additional water and never got it. The drinks are extra as well! Better options out there with better food. Food was mediocre.

Three of us went on the 8PM dinner cruise. Boat is small with a very pleasant ambiance. Our cruise only had 15 customers. Food was meh. Nothing special and certainly not a gastronomic experience. Service mostly okay...except...at the end of the cruise our server asked me how much I intended to leave as a tip. I have eaten in hundreds of restaurants on five continents and this is the first time a server solicited a tip. This was a huge turn off for me. A more minor issue was charging for water. Silly me, I thought for $200 a head I would get water.

The boat location was confusing with a few different variations on the same address. We finally found the boat and were seated about five minutes before departure. They immediately took our drink order but also asked as we’re were pulling away from the dock which entre we wanted. We tried slowing down the process which worked a little. The waiters were pleasant. The food was decent with nice presentation. Entres came out quickly as did dessert. It all felt very rushed. We were told it was a two hour dining experience however we were back at the dock after an hour and twenty minutes. Disappointing. Value for the money? Not so much.

What a great experience! The boat is not a huge boat it is more intimate and every table has a window view. The service was amazing and the bean was probably one of the best we had while in Paris. Make sure you follow the correct address for the netting point because there were two different ones. Other than that, great trip!

We were in France for over two weeks and the best meal we had our entire time was on Maxim's Dinner Cruise. The ship itself, the staff and the entertainer all created an experience that we just loved. If we ever return to Paris, we will book another dinner cruise with Maxim's!!!

We've had better food and we've had better river tours, but we've never had better food on a more scenic river tour. Small number of guests and attentive staff made it well worth the slightly premium price. Splurge if you are inclined. Definitely worth it.

Maxims by name only. Very disappointing. Extremely noisy with lots of children, food average and charged extra for food and drinks. Sent back steak could not cut it with a knife. If you are expecting a nice quiet evening with food by Maxims forget it.

The directions were perfect and we found our boat easily! The service was impeccable and the food wonderful. We cruised to the Eiffel Tower and the views were beautiful! A very nice excursion although a bit pricy, but worth it!

This was our second cruise with the same company, but there was a noticeable difference. Fewer tables were occupied on this cruise and near time to leave the ship, the waiter came to the table and demanded a 100 euro tip. We felt this was not only unexpected, but inappropriate. Kind of a strong arm.

Rated 4 of 5 because this river cruise was cancelled and rescheduled twice before our arrival.

Beautiful cruise and delicious dinner. Champagne toast on arrival and bottle of wine was included. We took earlier cruise time , which in March still allowed you to see the monuments lit up. Boat is not crowded. Everyone has a window seat. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend!

Everything was nice, the food wasn't very special, and the ship didn't pass by any of the historical sites worth seeing; it just went a certain distance and kept circling back to the same spot. Still, the ambiance was nice because it was Paris. I wouldn't have chosen it if it were in another country.

We booked this tour as it was Valentines Day in Paris and our Valentines day evening was ruined! We paid 198. USD per person. We did not mind paying because we picked the tour for the views of Paris we would be seeing making Valentines day special and what was included (alcoholic beverages). We were notified the day of the tour our pick up location was changed with no other information, details or options. So we went. Once on the cruise we started to notice we were only passing industrial plants. We were going the opposite direction of all the scenery we were told we'd be seeing. Then in what's included it states alcoholic beverages so we got beer. At the end of the cruise we were charged for those beers. I reached out to customer service to get a 50% refund because we did take the cruise but we did not receive what we paid for. If we were told when location was changed that we would no longer be seeing the sites of Paris but rather industrial plants we would have canceled and asked for a full refund but that option was never given to us. I requested a refund a 50% and I was only given 30%. I do not believe this Cruise was worth the amount that we ended up having to pay. It clearly stated what would be seeing and what was included. We were very disappointed, as Valentine's Day in Paris was something we had been looking forward to and the evening had been ruined. The fact that the tour company could not see that as an issue is very disheartening. We did not ask for a full refund as we did eat dinner. I would not suggest this tour company as if they are not going to provide what you paid for or the option of cancelation when the tour is changed, a refund should have been offered prior to us getting on the cruise. We would have chosen a different experience for Valentine's Day in Paris. I have screen shots of conversation with support help agreeing a 50% refund is warranted.

Was Valentines Day and they didnt go all the way down the Siene. We didnt see ant of thr key attractions. Was disappointing give the price paid for the trip. Food and music on board was lovely though.

They never pick me up in the location provided and never notified me any change or cancellation several peoples where also there and waiting

On June 22nd, 2025, we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary aboard the Maxim’s Seine dinner cruise boat. The dinner and live entertainment experience was memorable. We truly enjoyed the exquisite food we ordered. The special anniversary dessert was thoughtful and greatly appreciated. The pianist/singer was extremely good both in French and English. The food was very good - I don’t think I expected it to be so good. I thought this was going to be more about the experience than the food. The staff were wonderful. Everyone was so gracious and attentive. The entertainer was perfect: her song abilities and selections really enhanced the experience.

First of all, don’t buy your tickets on TripAdvisor !!! You will pay 25 euros more than the maximum and you won’t know what menu you have paid for! The cruise is rather short, you really have to hurry up to eat; the menu is n’y no means outstanding; the music is barely heard

Our first night in Paris could not have been any better!.. The service was great and the food was very tasty and fresh. We enjoyed the live singer entertainment. ... Would recommend!

Paris is beautiful at night and is the star of this cruise. Don’t go for the food which was mediocre for Maxims and what we were paying but the service and the music were very well done.

The cruise itself was about two hours or so. The food was very average. The buns were nice and fresh tasting but the rest of the meal was mediocre! My salad was very small and nothing outstanding. My steak was very small also and the serving of mashed potatoes was very small also. Very small! The mixed vegetables were quite good though and was a fair size serving. My dessert was quite good. It was some kind of lemon pastry. The waiters were very pleasant and courteous! The meal started with the waiters serving everybody a free glass of champagne. I only had a sip! The bottle of water I had was free but if you wanted to order soft drinks or other alcohol you had to pay. So I just stuck with the water! The young man that played the electric piano and sang was quite good. But for the $256.00 that I paid things like alcohol and soft drinks should have been free! At the end of the cruise, the waiter came to everybody's table and told us that the tip wasn't included and when he asked if I would like to tip I said no. He didn't make a big deal out of it! I am sure the other passengers didn't tip either! For the price of $256.00, the experience was very average and not worth that kind of money!

I cannot even express how upset I am. Paying $500 for a dinner cruise, only to have zero communication about departure procedure, only to watch the boat LEAVE at exactly 8:00 PM even though we called the operator and told them we were 1 minute away! Frankly the boat did not look anywhere worth that amount of money, and the employees at the dock were rude and completely unfriendly. They could not have cared less about our predicament.

Such a wonderful experience, you’ll never regret having a dinner cruise in the Seine, being serenaded while you eat a delicious meal, and eat your dessert with the Eiffel Tower on your window. Such an unforgettable experience

The food was excellent to the service impeccable. They gave us as much wine as we wanted. The views were lovely. I would have liked a little bit of commentary. The musician was very good. She was a bit loud. I would’ve liked it more and background music

Spectaculaire! We had a wonderful evening dinner cruise. One of those magical evenings we see and hear about Paris! Wonderfully done. Food was delicious. Service was attendant and responsive made for an overall fabulous evening! Have done about a dozen of these as I treat visitors to Paris to these dinner cruises and this has to be one of the best ones! Pianist + chanteuse was marvelous!

Bit misleading with info re alcoholic drinks I did not have my napkin laid across my lap nor any butter for our bread yet server expected a tip

The service was exceptional, the food was great and the music was appropriate for a romantic dinner and then fun as dinner was almost complete with upbeat party like music! We did not really need the optional frommage course and would not choose it again (since it was ($20 per plate) It was a great way to end our time in Paris!

We’re in Paris on our honeymoon and made a reservation for the Maxims Dinner River Cruise for 6/29/25. We paid for the cruise and got a confirmation along with several reminders of the cruise from Viator. When we got the boat about 15 min before departure we were told there was a problem with our reservation and there was no room for us. So if I could give zero stars that would be more appropriate. I would love to be giving a glowing review of a romantic evening but obviously that is not possible. We’re told we there were “technical difficulties” and we’ll get a refund but we would have much preferred to have great memories of the cruise.

Sweet service and lovely tour Some difficulty finding and directions were not exactly correct on some map we were following but thankfully made it in time!!

I tried to send my parents on this trip, but they really really leave exactly on time. They did their best getting from another place but they were five minutes late and they couldn’t figure out which boat? They got there literally as it was pulling away and it was heartbreaking. I’m sure it’s great but please be aware that if you were even 60 seconds late, you won’t get on.

Fabulous dinner by Maxim’s and cruise along the Seine. I chose this specific cruise for the smaller boat providing window seating for every table in a more intimate setting than others. The earlier cruises are shorter and didn’t provide sunset views of the Eiffel Tower ‘sparkling’ just after sundown. We booked the 8pm cruise, sunset was 9:45pm and we docked about 10:15pm. Food and presentation were first class as was the cocktails, Champagne and wine. I wish I had booked the beverage/wine package, but I didn’t notice that option when booking so we had to pay a tab at the end except for the include welcome glass of Champagne. The piano and vocal entertainer added a nice atmosphere. This was a perfect option for arrival day in Paris allowing you to get the layout of the sites.

This was a great experience. The ship is very well maintained and nicely appointed. All seating is by a window. The food is very good and the service very friendly. The cruise is a great way to see some of Paris' most notable sites especially if done at night. We definitely recommend this.

This was a great time - the food was good - the cheese and dessert was fantastic, service was nice. Best part really was the pace - you go a little slower than the other boats so you can enjoy the food and the scene …

I’m only giving it a 5 because 6 wasn’t an option. The entire experience was beautiful. We saw some incredible close-ups of sites during the cruise (Notre Dame and Eiffel Tower, most notably). The service, food and entertainment (piano singer with a lovely voice) were way beyond expectations. We recommend it highly!
