Paris Private Arrival Transfer: Railway Station To Hotel

Our driver was not waiting at 2pm at the Gare du Nord Eurostar platform when our train arrived. At 2:05 I called the emergency number listed on the confirmation to inform them. At 2:10 the driver arrived. Traffic to Gare Saint-Lazare was horrific and we arrived with only minutes to spare for our 2:59pm train departure. The car was nice and the driver apologetic. I think he was over-scheduled. At my age of 70 I was hesitant to attempt wrestling luggage on public transportation for the transfer, but knowing it would be faster I would probably try it next time.

He was on time waiting for us. He had our name on his phone. Everything was what we paid for and the driver was kind and told us some things about London

What a seamless experience from start to finish. Our driver was waiting for us on arrival with a sign to help identify him. While traveling to our hotel, he mentioned a lot of great areas to dine, visit, and experience. It was our first trip to Paris and surely won't be our last. Many thanks.

Our driver was great! We were lost inside the train station and he came in to find us and lead us out to his car. Very friendly and patient with a group not too familiar with using the train!

Before travel, look at map to see satellite view of streets around Gare du Nord train station. Meeting place was a busy street with large bus traffic about 30 meters from station exit. Driver did not speak English as requested. Driver vehicle was smaller than requested; required luggage in passenger laps. Driver had to call supervisor to confirm that transport was paid via Viator.

Emmanuel was excellent. He proactively communicated the meeting point via text. He also managed our time in Lourve to perfection

We were met by our driver inside the train station. He was funny and kind, offered us air conditioning, and cold waters for the drive after a long journey. No hassle trying to get around at night. Would highly recommend.

Viator and the car company were very accommodating since our train was delayed 2 hrs. They only charged a nominal extra fee since we did not arrive at the destination on time.

Easiest transfer ever. Our driver Hamlet was on time to pick us up at the trains station and promptly got us to our hotel.

I have never in my life had such an awful and unusual experience. Scammers on the streets yes…. But scammers through Viator never. The beginning of the experience was actually great. I booked the car. I received a WhatsApp message from the company (Comfort Cars) confirming my travel details. Later my travel plan changed and I messaged them and they immediately accommodated the change. They told me the driver would meet me at the end of the train platform with a sign I was thrilled with the service. UNTIL…. The driver (Rayan) messaged me telling me he wanted me to meet him at a different pick up point. I told him I had 2 large suitcases and he said “don’t worry it’s only a 3 minute walk”. I messaged the Comforter Cars Rep and told them I was being asked to meet in front of a random hotel down the street from the train station. The reason I prepaid for a private driver is so I wouldn’t have to wander around Paris with suitcases looking for an uber or taxi. Comfort cars said “your driver should be meeting you at the platform”. Unluckily for me my train lost power on the tracks. (Literally in a tunnel… for ONE HOUR. We had internet and no signal but random texts were going through and I was able to tell the driver my train is delayed (something he should have been able to check using the train details I provided). When we finally got moving, I messaged him. I then get a text from a completely different number saying “because of your delay you will have to pay the driver an additional 40 EURO in CASH” (btw it’s a $20 y we ride). Then HE messages me that I have to pay 40 EURO because he paid for parking. (Parking where?? He wasn’t coming to the platform.) When I told him I’ve used private transfers several times and they check travel details and know when there are delayed so they don’t wait for no reason and that I would not be paying a penny extra, that I was stupid and that I was offended at his attempt to scam me he began calling and texting me incessantly saying “no no no it’s ok don’t pay I’ll take you wherever you want to go, please I’m coming to drive you.” Obviously I no longer felt safe traveling with this driver. I messaged Comfort Cars to notify them after hours. They opened my message the next morning and never replied. I never took the ride I took an uber BLACK for $20USD (not euro) which was so much easier and a much more pleasant experience.

Diver was very knowledgeable about Paris and gave us a mini tour on our way to the hotel. Excellent experience

We were in the wrong meeting place, but the driver came to us without a problem. He gave us a little history as we passed the sights.

Make sure you get driver that speaks your language. We requested English, but could not communicate well with our driver. Made things difficult. Otherwise trip from train to hotel was fine.

East, quick and would book again

We arrived into Gare du Nord at 9pm via the Eurostar. I was traveling with my parents (in their 70's), husband, and 8yr old son, so I really didn't want to try to navigate traffic, organize taxis, etc in a city I had never been to during the evening hours. Thought having this prearranged driver would be the easiest and it 100% was. Our driver was waiting for us at the end of the platform when we arrived and helped us with our luggage. He was very kind and safely got us to our hotel. He even helped carry our bags into the lobby. Communication from Comfort Cars prior to pick up was excellent as well and accommodated all questions. 100% recommend this company!

No one came to pick us up as promised. Do not use. Viator rep couldn’t reach anyone at the company. We had to make other arrangements after waiting and finally arrived at the hotel very late.

Rude driver, made us feel uncomfortable. Viators instructions should include EXACTLY where they want you to stand when you get off the train. THEIR instructions literally give you directions to go outside. SUCH a rude awful ride to the hotel. Never again!

Everything smooth running...Raymond was waiting for us with name card and greets us with friendly smile, helped our heavy carriers immediately. I don't hesitate recommending to anyone to visit Paris.

Driver was waiting for us at the exit with my name and he assisted with some of the luggage to the vehicle. Our drive to the hotel was excellent

This was a wonderful experience. Easy to find with my name sign. We were met with a huge smile and a helping hand for our luggage. Timely, just the right level of conversation- not to much and no large quiet gaps that feel awkward. Just a perfect ride to our hotel.

More than 1 hour late, blamed it in parking, but all other picks up were on time. We were left alone waiting. Driver could hardly speak English and he seemed so frustrated and did not have the promised water. Wasn't a great welcome to Paris!

Driver said nothing to us, grabbed one piece of our luggage at the train station and then walked very fast to where his car was. My daughter had to run after him and tell him to stop as he had been going through a maze of street intersections and so fast he was way ahead of my wife and I and we lost sight of him (we are both in our 60s) as we are wheeling large luggage each, in order for us to catch up to him. After getting into his car, he still had not said anything, no hello, how are you, welcome to Paris, etc. I asked him if he knew to go to the Melia Vendome hotel, and all he said was "Melia". When we got to the hotel he helped to get our luggage out of his car, said "Good Luck", and drove off. So he only said three words to us. Horrible lack of any personal kindness or attentive customer service treatment.

Serge was waiting for us at arrivals as we got off the train. That was comforting. His kindness and sense of humor made the ride enjoyable!

Driver was not there when train arrived or we couldn’t find him. We waited 45 minutes after arrival and took a taxi. An hour and a half from when the train arrived I received a text asking when our train was due to arrive. Please refund my money

Jean-Claude was fantastic. He met us at the end of the train and helped us with our luggage out to the car. The traffic getting away from the train station was insane but he was calm, cool and collected throughout. When we arrived at the hotel he even helped us into the lobby with our suitcases. My French is very little as was his English but we both (more he than me) knew enough to get the basics and get where we needed to go. We would definitely go this route again!!

Drivers did not make it on time to train station and went to a different train station to pick us up. Unfortunately, we had to get an Uber to get to our hotel and missed a reservation we had planned at a restaurant after our arrival.

Driver was prompted and professional if you are traveling with a person in a wheelchair or is unable to walk long distances I do not recommend because the driver parked a distance away and my mom could not keep up

On time, safe Driver, friendly. Look for the iPhone with your last name to find the driver, hard to see. Needs an ipad so your name is larger and easier to find
